Went to get a tat and some piercings at this place a couple days ago. I do have concerns on the hygiene of this place. First tat wise, arm hair was not shaved and prepped. No alcohol to sanitize arm. Second, typically a&d ointment is applied before, during, and after, it was only applied after in my case. Gloves were put on AFTER the needle was installed in the "gun". And then the gloved hand was used to turn on a janky light then work began. Typically the first lines are set... deep for definition. I felt nothing pain wise. It is now day 2 and there are lots of blow out areas. Lines are not sharp at all. There is no puffiness at all unlike my other, which yeah, it swelled up, had some blood and scabbed over. My new one just looks like a sharpie was used. No pain at all. At the end of the work, typically a bandage is applied to protect the skin. Not in my case. Left over ink was still on my arm, and assume it was a&d ointment that was applied. No protection at all. I went to Walmart and bought some non stick bandages and tape right after because duh, open wound. Was told I needed to come back at no charge, so the letter font could be corrected because there is some tapering of the lines that I really liked. There are a few areas where tat does not match with what was laid out. Looks weird. There are nice people there, but I will not be going back. I just personally think safety first, have the tat work area ready to go before you open shop, (I sat in a chair with my arm on a marble countertop. Feet were not touching floor so my legs were falling asleep, my arm had no cushion either.) Most clients will be OK going to this place, but its not for me. I spent $100 on a tat and $30 on piercings which could be fair to most. I am having to go to another shop and pay to have things fixed now so my tat will last and look like it was suppose to be. Piercing wise: concerns on here are that the piercer seemed to have trouble doing the initial locations on each ear. (Partner had to mark the locations) piercing was a little more sanitary. However, no alcohol was used to prep the ear before piercing. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, however, I do believe others should know about things that could cause health issues and longevity of their purchase. Personally myself, my tat ideas are an extension of "who I am", granted I am not perfect, but there are some things I do demand some degree of " perfection ", especially if someone has been in the biz for 25 years. UPDATE: Well it is day 4, tat shows no signs of healing, no scabbing but ever so slight skin flaking. Probably due to my dry skin. Blow out areas are more defined now, looks like tat has shading done to it but wasn't done. Piercings: one is healing normally, other hurts like hell and real red in the area. Antibiotic gel has been applied, giving it 2 more days and then will have to go see doctor for possible infection. See more Read Less
