Absolutely worst place I've ever been. I walked in today around 3 pm, I told the guy at the counter I was interested in getting a tattoo and I proceed to show him, his response is "I'm not doing that tattoo.", he then goes in the back and grabs someone else. I start talking to the other guy about where I want it and ect. ect., he says he's working on a piece now and needs at least an hour and that he'll call me and to text him the artwork I wanted, I address thats fine, I leave my number and walkout. It's going on 6 o'clock and I haven't heard anything so I left. I call around 8, because I know they closed around 10 and I say "Hi, I came in around 3 saying I was interested in the tattoo and the guy said he would do it and I have yet to hear anything." the guy who picks up the phone says "People are busy", I then respond with "I get people are busy and I respect that, but I feel like I should have informed.", I kid you not that guy responds with "Look you're being a bitch and I'm going to hangup" and he hung up on me. The hubs wanted to find an ink therapy spot closer to home. Let's face it, sometimes you don't want to drive 45 minutes in traffic when you have the itch.. so a yelping he went and found Dead Serious. I'll admit I wasn't on board with a new place because I love our Ukrainian Village spot so, he went first. Ha! The piece he had done by Cody (Owner) was absolutely perfect & convinced me to give it a shot. Appointments were made and away we went. Walking in, it's a cool area with a bunch of eclectic stuff strewn throughout. Cody talked to the hubs like they were old friends & was very kind when I was introduced. I had an idea about what I wanted & showed him a picture. I also told him that he could tweak it however and I was fine with it. My pieces aren't as intricate as my husbands are so there's a little more room for change if needed. Sitting in the chair, Cody is a talker! I love that! Who wants to sit for hours and not talk?! Not this girl. Anyway, we talked about randomness and then started talking about this one Yelp review where a woman bashed the business for a few comments that were made. Listen, there are only male tattoo artists here so things are probably going to get vulgar. If that bothers you.. Don't come here. Plain and simple. It's a tattoo shop, not a church so I don't see what the problem would be or why you'd assume it would be different. GTFOH. A friend recommended this shop to me and I'm so glad I went. I went in as a walk in and immediately they found free artists took our ideas, sketched them to make them a bit more sharp from the photos, and started on the tattoo. Incredible work and studio. Cannot stress the professionalism and quality of the work. I came to Clayton Bond with an idea of the piece and he sketched out a draft in a few days and we were tattooing it by the weekend. This guy toughed out a 14hr session because of time constraints without a second thought. Great guy and an incredibly talented artist; highly recommended. I had a unique situation. As a young breast cancer survivor, I went through hell just to survive. My kids were young, and my disease was particularly aggressive. Fast forward 11 years, and I'm alive and well. And after multiple reconstruction surgeries, I decided against the medical nipple tattoo that had failed me once. (I had a mastectomy, where my OEM nipple was taken.  Lol.) I met with Cody in the fall, and he worked tirelessly to design something that was tasteful and a bit artsy. I came to dead serious after running into 2 other bike riders at different times with tattoos I loved and fit my style. I came in and talked to Cody, I had ideas of what I wanted but that was it. I told him my general ideas and main points, I've already seen his tattoo sleeves which I loved so I wanted him to do his thing basically. It's turned out amazing and the shop has a good environment.
