I got my first tattoo yesterday at UpRise with Nano! He was amazing! He calmed my nerves (my anxiety was through the roof), was fun to work with (very personable) and does great work! Me and my wife were in Naperville this week for one of her training seminars. Each of us wanted tattoos so we of course googled local tattoo shops. We did some homework and found Uprise Tattoos. We stopped in to talk to the artists and we got lucky enough to meet Martin. He was very professional and knowledgeable about our wants and needs. He walked us through the process and drew up exactly what we were wanting within ten minutes. He took his time to insure we were okay during the entire tattooing process. The final product was outstanding crisp and clean. We could not be happier with what we got permanently inked on our bodies. If you want ink done and are in the Warrenville/Naperville area please stop in and see these guys because you won't be disappointed. The shop is the cleanest and best looking shop I've ever been in. If anyone is in need of a tattoo Andrew Mullen is awesome! His line work, shading and color is so good! I started my first session for a cover up today and i can not wait to continue it. I will never go to anyone else for tattoos! Highly recommend and if i could give him more than 5 stars i would. I've been going to Jenna since she was still doing her apprenticeship. She has done 2 of my 3 tattoos and they are absolutely fantastic. She also did my boyfriend's last tattoo that he got, which came out better than the two he already had from previous shops. She's always very careful and precise on each piece. I went in for a black and grey sunflower piece and it was done by Martin, I'm EXTREMELY happy with how it turned out, it's my BEST tattoo yet! The stipple dot gradation made me fall absolutely in love with it! The lines are on point, not a single blown out line, the black ink is fully saturated, everything about it is perfect, it was a piece to keep my mom close to me as she's battling cancer, and the fact that it turned out amazing, means the world to me! Made an appointment with Nano about 6 weeks ago and went in last night for my tattoo. First time in that shop. Nice set up with basically a private room for each artist. TV in each room too. Nano worked with me to come up with a great design and my tattoo is amazing! Nano’s line work is spot on and he was cool to chat with during the process. Went in for a traditional tattoo from Andrew yesterday and I love everything from the art to the whole experience. Started with an email a few weeks ago and a couple reference photos to give him an idea and he was able to come up with something custom in no time. Not to mention the shop is BEAUTIFUL! I have quite a few tattoos and hands down this was my best experience. I had Beto do my Barber sleeve back before the grand opening and let me tell you words can't describe the experience. I was referred to Uprise Tattoo by my sister. We were greeted by the friendly front desk girl. She had us check out the individual artist books to see what artist would be the best fit. We were introduced to John who greeted us with a handshake, however lost me as a client when the consult came across as one sided. I have two tattoos, unfortunately my artist is out of state and guided me through the creative process and making it a teamwork effort. My sister had a good expe...rience with her artist Andrew so I thought hey I will check them out for a local artist. During my consult with John we stood at the front desk and showed him a few tattoo ideas and basically got the impression unless I was going to proceed he was not going to work with me on it.
