I went here for my very first tattoo and I might of not seemed nervous but inside I actually was due to the fear of needles I have. I went into the shop the night before my scheduled date to see what's up and I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. My artist was Noodles and I can say that I couldn't of chose a better artist out there to do my first tattoo. (And definitely many many more down the road). I wanted SO BADLY to love this place but I was totally disappointed. I can only rate this on my one experience with my artist, Rich so I would potentially go again but not to Rich. I was explaining my piece to him and he kind of just made me feel stupid for my idea and the placement of it. I would've trusted his advice about placement but it basically meant changing my whole idea. I foolishly put down the HUGE DEPOSIT, like $80! I had to wait a few weeks out to have the appointment and during those weeks I tried to get in touch to come in and see how the sketch of the piece was going bc I already felt like maybe I left him with an unclear understanding of what I wanted. He said that he doesn't sketch up his appointment's work until the WEEKEND BEFORE THEIR APPOINTMENT! So that made me feel like he doesn't care too much about putting in all that much thought into a customer's custom piece if he just cranks them out like that! I cancelled, never saw my deposit money back which sucks bc he obviously hadn't drawn anything up, then a couple weeks later (after cancelling) he calls to have me come in. I hung up on him. I was in Naperville visiting for work and we had a free day. Looked up some tattoo shops online and Noodles was among the top results. Read some of the reviews on google and nothing but positive comments so I put the address in my GPS and headed over. Walked in and the store is clean! That is my number one seller. A clean and organized well kept space. I was greeted quickly even though there were 4-5 people already waiting. I was able to leave my number for them to call me back about my tattoo and I got a call later that afternoon and went in. They were super relaxed and friendly. They had awesome music and great attitudes. These guys love their jobs and it shows. Best tattoo shop I've been to so far. I definitely recommend them and if in the area again I will go back. I had an appointment scheduled and when I entered, I was told the artist with which I was scheduled would not be available for some time. I was crushed, after having been rescheduled a few times by another artist. Emil was awesome and took care of me right away. It took me ten years, but I finally got my first tattoo! Even though I am a tattoo virgin, I have heard that line work can be very difficult. I got 108 tally marks tattooed on my chest by Rich Goorsky, and while it wasn't that painful at all, my body did react to the pain by some twitching.
