I haven't been living in Illinois for long but the few people I've met in the past couple of months have recommended this pace to get my tattoo. They seem to have a great reputation. They have multiple artists all with great reviews First I got an appointment with Sarah Stewart, who was a pretty good portfolio. After dealing with her lack of professionalism and just plain rudeness, I was switched to Tim, the shop's owner. Best mishap ever. I'm actually glad Sarah was so rude and impatient with me. I did complain to the manager about how Sarah had treated me and everything was taken care of. They apologized on her behalf and solved my issue instantly. Thank you Utah and Tim for such great care. While I wasn't the one getting a tattoo (my friend was) I enjoyed my time there. They had a good taste in music and their decorations were unique. I asked everyone from friends and family to random strangers whose tats I admired where I should go and who did their art. I settled on several artists at Delicious Ink because they had the most consistent positive responses. And, my research was accurate. The ship was clean. Everyone was so nice and professional.I really appreciated Utah who counseled me on the phone and Gabby, who booked my appointment and took my deposit. I got my septum done in February by Utah, she scheduled me in when I was in town for a visit, and I had a great experience. Healed perfectly! You can tell there is immense care for the proper education and maintenance of a piercing, she walked me through every step and I felt the price was great, no question it was quality work and I don't have to search all over Chicago, I know right where to go for my next one. I've had tattoos here from both Jennie and Tim, plus piercings/piercing maintenance by Tim, Utah, and Jennie. I refer everyone here. It is by far the cleanest and most friendly tattoo shop. The artists here actually care about art. They are invested in continuous learning and personal development, and participate in building our community. I once heard a rumor that the health department told another business owner friend of mine "Delicious Ink is cleaner than a hospital." If that gives you any indication of the level of professionalism you'll get, while also maintaining their unique artistic and counter-culture flair, I don't know what is. Tattoos are a memorable experince - this one was NOT GOOD! Given BAD advice and my daughter and I got matching tattoos by Lawrence who was highly medicated and dripping sweat all over the place. Very small tattoos for the $100 minimum (so $200 total) and the flower that we each got should NEVER have been done. The detail won't show, do to it's size. A good artist would of advised differently. Not to mention the after care of tattoo - just let it dry up, don't use anything and it will heal as it's supposed to. No, it will scab up and lose color. Just not at all impressed. Had to have it covered up with same flower but went to Staircase Tattoos in CA. Now another $150 into it... but, hey at least I'm happy with it. My daughters is still fk'd up and there's NO WAY id let him "fix-it". Read Less

I stopped in on a Friday afternoon to get a simple wedding band tattoo to surprise my wife for Mother's Day.  When I arrived, there were three workers and no customers.  When they finally came over to ask why I had come in, they stated there was no one available to help me.  They checked their schedule and stated I could come back in three weeks for their next opening.  Really?!?I drove two miles away to Euro Tattoo.  They took care of me immediately.  I had my simple tattoo in about 15 minutes.Save your time and skip Delicious Ink. Delicious inc is AMAZING!! I got my piercing done there and... Amen. They are a little pricey but it's worth it. If I don't get an infection and I'm getting it done by someone who knows what they are doing and is a professional then that's where I'm going. I will definitely go back. I love the atmosphere at Delicious Ink, your greeted as soon as you walk in and everyone is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Jason Symons is an amazing artist, he's done my last two tattoos and I plan on coming back to him for more because he does a kick ass job. I came in on the recommendation of my hairstylist after mentioning I was looking for a clean and professional shop to get my nose pierced again after letting it close five years ago.I was immediately greeted by Tim who was incredibly professional and put me at ease. He explained each step and what I should expect. The piercing itself was done really well and I have minimal swelling and no pain after one day. Where do I start? Pristine tattoo parlor. This place is so clean and welcoming. Ever walk into a tattoo shop and immediately get the feeling you're not welcome there? You won't get that here. I have always been greeted with a smile. This is so important especially if its your virgin tattoo or piercing experience! Plus there's tons of fun artwork a sculptures to look at to help ease any nerves you may be having (worked for me each time!). We went in for a "couples tattoo" that we had been discussing with Jennie for a while. Soon as we walked in she had the stencils drafted up and ready to go. We always trust her extremely professional and knowledgeable opinion when finalizing our ideas. She has NEVER steered us wrong. While she is fast, she is also extremely detailed. All of our outlining and shading was done perfectly. I could not have asked for a better outcome.  Jennie 1,000% exceeded our expectations. There is a reason we drive to Rockford from Chicago just to see her. There is a reason I wait 2-3 months for an appointment with her when she's all booked up. One of the best places to get a tattoo in Rockford, I had a great time and really enjoyed the experience. Everyone is very personable there and the shop is very clean and sterile. I got a bicep tattoo with Tim and he does amazing work, it is an original design by him and I would recommend checking him and the other artists out. The line work and shading is very well done, I have to go back and get it colored and I am very excited for that. Truthfully i don't think it gets any better than Delicious ink, The place is raw and honest and great at what they do, every artist in the place does amazing work, however i have only been tattooed by the only for all 22 of my pieces, his name is Tim. He will be brutally honest to you and you're ideas which is a good thing trust me, remember he is the professional not you. The shop is very clean and very organized. They take safety and sterilization very seriously. They take the smallest idea and turn it into something you would never expect. I won't go anywhere else and i wouldn't recommend you do either. I've had about 90% of my tattoos done in this location by a few of their artists and each time they make sure I'm very comfortable during the whole process and the best way to take care of my skin after. I went to Delicious Ink today to get a navel piercing. I read so many reviews on all the tattoo/piercing places in Rockford, and Euro Tattoo has been getting so many scary, infectious problems reviews. Delicious Ink had 4.8 out of 5 on one site, and 5 on Yelp. So off I went.Tim Atwell was so nice and I was nervous and a little shaky but he talked me right through all the steps and of course it wasn't as "world ending" as i thought it would be. He told me all the precautions and not to touch the piercing at all, which my last naval pierce guy told me to clean it every day and it got so painful and infected. Overall I am super happy with my new pink belly jewelry that was cleaned for 10 minutes in the Autoclave! And it literally doesn't hurt me at all to move! Cost me 45$ total, (STILL CHEAP) but i opted to get the titanium metal instead of stainless steel, so it probably cost more, but I know the saying goes, " YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!" Delicious Ink is a unique tattoo parlour. The inside of the building itself is wonderfully decorated with murals done by the tattoo artists themselves. I had a foot tattoo done by Brooke when I came in, and my friend had a feather done on her ribs (also by Brooke). Both tattoos came out great, and Brooke was extremely friendly. For a first time tattoo goer, I had a great experience and Brooke really put me at ease. This place was really good!  Granted, I didn't get a tattoo--I had just gotten one two weeks prior, so that itch was sufficiently scratched!I went with my sister to get an add-on to her tattoo.  She had a celtic design that incorporated her son's name, and she needed to get her daughter's added on.  She had originally gotten hers done in Louisiana, and hadn't appreciated the "shading" that was done around the design.  Her tat artist at Delicious Ink changed all of that.  She turned my sister's "shading" into something awesome that looked more like a tattoo and less like a sticker.The place was clean, the artist was fast, efficient, and she made a masterpiece!  I might just come back for my next tat :) Read Less

If you're looking to get a tattoo, Delicious Ink is the place to go.  All of the artists are very personable and professional, and the entire parlor has a very cool feel to it.  There are antiques, gaffs, and independent artwork all over the place--even the toilet seat is a custom piece of art.  Everyone did a great job of making us feel comfortable for the full 5 hours I was under the needle.I'm pretty paranoid when it comes to finding the right tattoo artist--and Brooke Englehart, the incredibly talented artist who did my tattoo did such an amazing job, I cannot recommend her enough.  I've never seen shading done so well on a tat before, and she was able to focus my 10000 ideas into the start of a sleeve that looks both complete as it is, but was also made so that it is open ended for continuation at any time.  I will absolutely be going back to Brooke for all my tattoo work in the future--and to get an old tattoo corrected and reincorporated back into another existing piece I have.  If it can be done, I am completely confident Brooke can make it happen!Overall, I found the entire experience to be very pleasant and was not put off by a single aspect of the parlor.  I'd highly recommend booking an appointment with Brooke if you're looking to get completely awesome original tattoo work done.Love this place, love Brooke, and I WILL be coming back again soon.  Enough said!
