We are a professional tattoo studio with over 22 years of experience in the tattoo industry. Redwood has traveled the globe seeking new ideas and skills from some of the world's finest artists. All of our artists are trained in bloodbourne pathogens, cross contamination and infection control procedures. We were the first tattoo shop in McHenry county to become certified by the Health department and we keep a clean studio. Your health and safety is our primary concern. I had gotten a tattoo in memory of my father who passed away. Redwood did an amazing job on my tattoo and I absolutely love it. He takes pride in his work and is very patient if it takes a month of drawing and changing the tattoo to how you want it. He also did my sisters for my father. I highly recommend going here!!

I got my first tattoo at the age of 42. I had a clear idea of what I wanted. I brought in a drawing a few days before my appointment. The redrawing of the original I submit was great. We made one minor change. Redwood did a great job explaining the process to me. His artist ability with colors made my tattoo that much better. I am already planning my next tattoo and my husband is working on his next tattoo as well.

We've known Redwood for 20+ years. The quality of his work speaks for itself. He takes pride in a clean shop adhering to proper sanitation & sterilization for every client. He does great flash ink but his custom creations are truly works of art. My husband and I will only go to his shop for our ink.

I'm sorry, if something is going to be on my body forever I don't want you to "whip one out". I cannot judge his work, I never got the tattoo and I walked out. Didn't feel comfortable getting a tattoo here. I'm guessing this business focuses on bigger projects. Judging by his examples of work, he doesn't do small pieces such as quotes or small characters/symbols/pictures. My advice is do your research and feel comfortable with the person who is putting a needle on you.... I made the right decision and found someone who was great and better suited my needs.
