I was originally going to go to a shop in Bloomington, but the gal was going on a two week vacation when I wanted to get in--so, I did some research locally. I am so glad I did! I found Twisted Vision and sent them a few messages on Facebook with some questions. Unlike many shops, they are very forthcoming with information regarding their services. When I went in as a walk-in for a nose piercing. Nic was very welcoming and quick to get me in and out. HOWEVER~ he took much tim⋯⋯e and care explaining the process of what he was doing, ensuring I understood and invited me to ask questions during the process. Considering this was the second time I've had this done, I felt comfortable I understood. Nic offered great input on aftercare, inviting me to contact them or stop in if I felt like anything was going wrong or if I wanted to have them take a look. Nic gives the impression of being a patient, informative, and non-judgmental (for this dorky old lady, especially) body-artist. I cannot say I've gotten the same vibe from other shops. Got my nostril and my septum pierced by Nic. I was originally only going to get one piercing and then wait a while to get another... but Nic was so informative and comforting and I completely trusted him, that less than a week after I got my nostril pierced by him, I went ahead and got my septum pierced that I've wanted done for forever. Took my daughter to get her daith pierced. She had been taking prescription meds for migraines and we were hoping getting her daith pierced would lessen the headaches....Nic was sooo helpful and answered all of her questions. He explained all the steps and all of the equipment he was using. I also got my nose pierced. It is the first piercing I have ever gotten that has healed properly. He really is the best. I got my daith pierced by Nic. I wanted this piercing for the possibility of it helping with migraines. I was very nervous about it but Nic was absolutely wonderful and made me feel comfortable!
