I made a terrible mistake! I went to psychopathic ink to get a piercing done and I didn't like their service. When I typed their name in the Facebook search box somehow graphic flesh came up and I left the wrong business a bad review. Alysha at graphic flesh reached out to in response to the negative review and in the mist of the conversation we then realized the terrible mix up. She was very concerned and helpful and despite the mix up she even offered to help me with the same work that psychopathic ink clearly couldn't get right. Tim did my first tattoo and it turned out great. He was nice, calming, understanding, and patient with me. I was scared out of my mind but he made it as relaxing as possible. I got a phoenix tattoo done by caitlyn and she also reworked another tattoo in the same area for a really great price. I feel like I should have paid more for the quality I received from her. She took her time and didn't rush through my tattoo even though other people came in wanting things done. She explained the entire process to me, even though this was tattoo number 9 for me, and was very personable and professional the entire time. I came into this shop a little over 3 years ago and have regretted it ever since. I had ink blow out and my quote immediately became an illegible blob on my side. Even being up close people have trouble reading it. Upon going into the shop the manager suggested covering it up for free and redoing the other tattoo for free. However, being leery of the poor work I received here and did not take her up on the offer. To this day I have the eye sore on my side and have been trying to come up with a cover-up tattoo idea however due to the size and shape this is difficult. I understand this was three years ago so I hope they have employed better artists and have improved. However, I am stuck with this terrible tattoo for life. Read Less

I went to get my first tattoo done. I was very nervous. And I needed someone very experienced and who I felt would do a good job. My tattoo looks like a painting due to Tim. I fully recommend him. My tattoo of wording and a huge flower is more than I can even explain. The colors work and are so vivid. The shop was clean, everyone was nice. They need a lot more reviews because they deserve it! A guy named Roger Franco owns the shop. I have never gotten work from him but I have seen his work and people rave about him. Anyways, they just opened a new shop not that long ago where I got my second tattoo done, the first one was in the old shop. The new shop is nice because you walk in and you can see everything that is going on in the shop and you are able to watch them all tattoo. The receptionist is nice and will refer you to an artists right away. The first piece that I got done was a silhouette of a phoenix with flames. I was introduced to the artist, Tim. A very down to earth and friendly guy who had no problem getting a drawing by then next day (it was the end of the business day). Tim was excited about doing the flames a certain way and I could tell he cared about the tattoo. He was talkative throughout and assured that that was looking good (couldn't see it - it was on my back). It came out great and better than I had envisioned it. He encouraged me to come back in a month or so for a touch up if need be. I came back about 3 months later and decided to add to it. All I told him was that I wanted my name included with a certain font. He decided in order to incorporate the name he would frame it in smoke and bring it all together. Turned out to be a great idea. I would definitely go back there if I still lived in the area but I don't. I have seen other tattoos from other shops in Bloomington/Normal and I think that you are better of going to Graphic Flesh.
