Went in there to get a 2nd opinion on a day before navel piercing that was done somewhere else and Ciaran helped us and let me tell you, he is awesome! He was honest, funny, didn't get annoyed with our questions even though he didn't do the piercing. Just went in there with my 17 year old son so he could get his nose pierced. Ci did the piercing. I could not have asked for a better person to do it! He was so down to earth, so calm, took his time and has a great personality. He was upfront about everything which was helpful. He didn't make us feel like it was a revolving door of piercings. The worst experience of my life, being a business owner means you need to know the laws and regulations. Common sense!! Jimmy Munoz doesn't understand that, instead of reading the law like I told him to 2 times, I then went a different route. I also hold a bachelors in business management which I reminded him of the basic code of ethics. I said I will call k9 and Veterans so they can explain it. He was pacing back and forth and then saying he doesn't want to talk to the organization. Before I called I told Jimmy I'm 100% disabled for ptsd, fighting two Iraq tours, he didn't understand that I was getting uncomfortable and he needed to calm down. He then said why the fuck you need a dog with you at a tattoo shop, again, none of his fn business. All he has to do was ask is that a service dog, that's all, by law, that he gets to ask. At this point I was shaking because of the disgust, anger, anxiety, embarrassment caused by this sad person. He hung up on the owner of the non profit organization for veterans after 7 seconds on the phone. He then because more of a child and threw my deposit money back at me, threw it and it landed on my dog and my feet like I was a pos. He then said get the out! Now, I'm a 100% disabled veteran, I'm a Brazilian jiu jitsu blackbelt who teaches people to handle bullies like this, yet, I was the one that remained calm. I mentioned I don't want to call the police and he said, go ahead and fn call. He got his wish. He violated a federal law!! I cant say enough good things about this place. Staff always treats there customers with courtesy and kindness. Always willing to work you in there schedule and give you the exact tattoo you want. I have more than a dozen tattoos and know my shops well...decided to come here while in town and came in for a walk-in for the first time. I was immediately impressed with the layout and professional atmosphere - very clean, presents itself as a really nice establishment. This tattoo was relatively small and plain black, but I couldn’t be happier with the result. Fred was able to take me quickly and did a spectacular job. I went to Color Theory Tattoo yesterday to get my nose pierced. While waiting, Teddi continually checked on us during our wait, and thanked us for being patient (there were several other walk-ins before us). Was recommended to Beto by Keith Semple (local musician-look him up!) after I asked him who did his kick ass sleeve-it's so colorful and I knew I had to have his artist! I had a small one done by Beto last year (which I LOVE) and just had a cover up done a few days ago. He blew me away with the cover up because I thought there was no hope for the 10+ year old tattoo but I gave him my ideas and let him work his magic. There's a reason why he is booked so far out and why he has... won so many awards: the guy is a true master at his art. The studio itself is immaculate, welcoming and a true reflection of the artists there. It actually looks more like an art gallery. This is the most professional, cleanest, talented and friendliest place I have ever gone to. I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon with a tattoo in mind but really couldn't form it into a picture. The staff was extremely friendly right away and welcoming. Ruben was my tattoo artist and he took a look at a couple of pictures and listened to my horrible description of the tattoo I wanted. He went in the back and drew something up. When he came back out and showed me what he drew..it was beyond phenomenal and even more beautiful than what I had pictured. The time he took into drawing up what I wanted and then patience and dedication was unlike any other artist I had have before. It turned out gorgeous and I am more than just happy with it. I came here with the intention to get my tragus pierced but was informed that it was too small and would probably get infected very easily if it got pierced. So, I got my conch pierced (with an orbital) instead and love it! Almost five weeks later and the healing is going very well, probably because Teddi did such a great job. She is so friendly and explained the whole process very thoroughly and gave detailed instructions on cleaning the piercing! Hey the place is really cool, and I like the fact that you see a lot if families, a lot of kids hanging out with their parents.  Its a very comfortable environment from the moment you walk in and all the artists there are so friendly!  I went there for my first tattoo and from Yelp reviews i decided to pic Jimmy Munoz (although while there, looking at all of the artists working the quality was high.)  I had a picture of what I wanted when we met so we set a time to do it.  Jimmy was extremely professional and very cool! Went in today initially for a tragus piercing, but Teddi informed me that my tragus was too small to be pierced (which I had thought about before), so I got a conch piercing instead. Teddi did an amazing job!! The pain was way less than I thought it would be, and she was very thorough explaining the cleaning instructions as well as walking me through the piercing process. I was here yesterday with my best friend. We both got tattooed by Jerry. He's pretty much the man. He made sure I knew that my original sizing choice was a bad one, so we we adjusted the plan. We had a great time just talking shit and joking with each other while he inked both of us. Super cool and comfortable conversation and environment. The tattoo turned out even better than expected and we're both stoked about it. So yeah, Jerry is the man. He has a ton of awards, does awesome floral work, has a thing for ravens and long walks on the beach (the beach is speculation haha). So go see him. I recently went to Color Theory for a piercing and had the best experience. I work in the consulting/customer service industry and found this place to be top notch. I walked through the door and was instantly greeted by Teddi, she asked what I was looking to get, then gave me some paperwork to fill out. As I was filling out paper work, Teddi went in back to get set up. She came back for me and we went into a room in back. Teddi then wiped down the seat (I am certain this was for the second time because the room smelled of fresh cleaner), I appreciated her cleaning/disinfecting the seat in front of me. Then we began the piercing process. Everything (tool/clamp/etc.) she used was individually wrapped and opened in front of me. Teddi calmed my nerves and talked me through everything she was doing. She had me take a deep breath and then I was done. Quick, easy, and Teddi did it all smoothly with great transition. Afterwards Teddi went over everything I needed to do to make sure the piercing healed properly. This isn't my first piercing or tattoo so I am quite familiar with the care, but Teddi gave me piercing specific instructions and best practices. I loved Teddi's attention to detail and great customer service. While I was at Color Theory, Teddi mentioned that she in doing a piercing and tattoo apprenticeship at Color Theory and was doing her first tattoo the following day. I researched tattoo shops and read reviews and found Color Theory. After reading each profile I choose Jimmy but had others in mind If Jimmy wasn't available. I had an old tattoo was over 20 years old that was faded and I just didn't like anymore for years now.  I researched on line and chose some pictures to show him. After walking in and discussing and showing him my thoughts he was able to design a beautiful cover up tattoo that I love. Jimmy is very talented along with the other staff members. Everyone was very friendly. The shop is very professional, clean and laid back environment. Summer 2016.I'm planning on getting my next tattoo there very soon! STAY AWAY! BEWARE of this awful place. I got a tattoo 3 weeks ago and it was not what I asked for and made it known before I left to Danny that I didn't like it, I waited a little over 3 weeks to go back so it would heal and to see what could be done. I had the great misfortune of speaking to Jimmy who was so rude and had an attitude even when he first came out to talk to me.I explained what I didn't like and he would not work with me in anyway and had the nerve to tell me that I should go home and draw something and then maybe he would know what I wanted, but I'm not a tattoo artist so how would I know what to draw, I was only asking for help since , isn't that his job, so as you can see he wanted nothing to do with me.This is a small tattoo a  butterfly and dog paws really how hard can this be to fix this my first one at 61 years old, I just wanted it with more color and bigger paws than what I got plus he told me it would be $300.00 to fix a $120.00 tattoo, what a joke.Then to top it all off I was told to go somewhere else that this was not the shop for me. I left in tears not believing that they would treat a customer in such a way, apparently they do not care about their customers or word of mouth which is everything in business.I guess unless you are 20 or 30 something then stay away, I am surprise they have any customers at all the way I was treated, Jimmy also told me that they have no owner which is hard to believe.There are have so many tattoo shops in the area do yourself a favor and give those places  that treat you with respect your money and business, I will make sure never ever to step place in this place again and tell everyone I know how I was treated.I wish they had a 0 rating since that's what they deserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The space is very inviting, cozy & clean. The staff was friendly, they all have a nice energy about them. Freddy worked on my touch up, we bounced ideas back and forth and he executed wonderfully.
