Art was average. Nothing special. Mickie was very unprofessional as far as conversation goes. Was very uncomfortable. Same result from female friends who also had him as an artist. I went in for a simple tattoo on my forearms with my girlfriend on Friday or Saturday evening of last week. The healing began and everything seemed normal until I began having redness and yellowing in the tattoo. I called them twice and followed their advice. I went to a local shop near me and got a second hand look at it. He told me I had a mild infection and it would take 2-3 weeks to heal because of it plus mild scarring. I am beyond pissed that this occurred. They touch needles with their hands and don't wash them even after going out and smoking. DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE! Save your money and go someplace safe because no one needs a infection and to be dug into. Read Less

One of my worst tattoo experiences. I tell all my friends and loved ones to avoid this place and head over to art of attatooed or lucky seven because this place is the equivalent to getting permanently scribbled on by a 4 year old. I had some asshole chubby dude with a beard tattoo me unfortunately. He was constantly an asshole and very rude about my tattoo design and kept telling me to hurry up. He rushed through the design and sped through the execution of the tattoo itself. To this day I am so disappointed because this was a tattoo that was supposed to very special but instead was butchered by some old freak with a dead pool and anime obsession. I just got done being inked by Dan and can say that he absolutely blew my expectations for my tattoo completely out of the water. I had already gotten my first tattoo with private ink about a year ago and knew that I wanted to come back for my next one due to the friendly service, clean workspace, and good prices, even with the long wait time (totally understandable too). Went to get my nipple pierced here, Jake and Billy are wonderful and regular customers at my job. Jake did the piercing and was helpful and calm about the whole thing. He did a great job and I love it. He is doing my other one soon and an upcoming tattoo. Great set up for the shop and everything is very clean. The guys are really cool and relaxed. Great place, always recommend. ALL PIERCING ARE $30 except for industrial because those are two piercings. Those are $40. Perfect job on everything.UPDATE: got my other nipple pierced and it looks perfect and it's lined up great.Also got my tattoo done and he traced a picture I sent him and then hand drew the feathers out in sharpie on my back. The outcome is nothing short of perfect. It looks great and he eventually wants me to come in so he can do some highlighting on the feathers. We were time crunched and managed to put what should have been at lest a 4 hour tattoo into a 2 and a half hour gap and it still turned out perfect, I really couldn't be happier. Read Less

Amazing place, the staff was exceptional!! Best place to get my first tattoo. At first the place looks like a clinic and well clean, which i love it. I was a little scare and skeptical about a tattoo and the whole staff made me feel very welcome. I had a limited amount of time but my heart set on getting my next tattoo before an event yesterday, so I called Private Ink and they said that while they were booked with appointments, they could likely work me in. They were extremely professional and knowledgable, and the staff was notably very polite. The tattoo is absolutely perfect. The set up of the studio is also very nice- it's, well, private. I went to go get my nose pierced and was excited that it only costs $30, so I get it pierced only to find out that Mike decided not to tell him that it was a giant hoop with a ball on it, some people can work this but it isn't my style. So I polietly ask him to take it out and he responds in a nasty tone that he can't refund me etc and I didn't care I just really wanted it out. After he took it out he decided he'd give me a refund told me to let my nose heal and call back in a few weeks after he got a shipment of studs in. I waited a few weeks, called him back and he told me again in a nasty tone to call back the following week. I call back today and it turns out that they aren't getting the shipment and he won't re-pierce it. Basically, the guy lied to me telling me that he would re-pierce it and now he won't. Honestly, it wouldn't have bothered me so much if he were a little more polite about it, he kept on giving me this attitude and I felt like he was talking down to me, so Mike if your reading this, thanks for ruining my experience. Private Ink is as good as it gets. The shop is clean, the staff is so fun to talk with. Everyone knows what they're talking about and they're so personable! each artist has a private room to work in, unlike some I've seen, but they do leave the doors open unless privacy is an issue. That sure didn't bother me though, since the other artists all stopped in at least once to give encouragement and see how the piece was shaping up.I went in Thursday 4/26/12, and Dan drew up my memorial piece right then and there. I absolutely loved it from the get go, but we didn't have time that night to get it done, so I was back Saturday 4/28 when the doors opened and he got me right into the chair. He was really understanding and helpful, since this was my first tattoo, and let me have a break when I needed it. Dan is a genius, IMO, and I couldn't be happier with the way this turned out. We've already got plans for adding more to this piece, and I can't wait till this is healed up to get back under the needle! I think it was luck of the draw that Dan was the one on desk when I went in, but I'm sure glad he was. Fair prices for the quality of work done, absolutely sterile work environment, great artists with great attitudes, the work is guaranteed for life with free touch ups, I don't plan on going anywhere else for any of my work!
