Never will I go there again. I don’t mind paying the money for good work. Definitely not what I got. They didn’t even read the paperwork I had to fill out. I’m allergic to latex. Colors that were not agreed on. My first tattoo, nervous. Had it put on my side. I didn’t realize that the shape would be very different because my arm was stretched over my head. Now don't get me wrong, this place is pretty cool. But when I went there to get a upper helix piercing two days ago, they used a stud with a butterfly back. That is a huge no go with cartilage, as it is prone to infection and doesn't allow room for swelling. I had to go to a different tattoo shop to get it fixed today due to swelling. No fun at all. So if you get pierced here, get a hoop or you will pay for it. Read Less

Who ever had a bad experience there must of been having a bad day or a very hard to please person.The staff is very courteous and professional and they all enjoy their job... custom drawings and ideas are welcome to give you the piece you have been dreaming of.. Came here about a month ago. Got my triple forward helix, nose and a tattoo all in one sitting. Great work and am in love with my tattoo. A little over priced for my liking but oh well everyone has to have a minimum. Just today I had woken up to one of the caps to my forward helix missing. Used a nose ring in its place. Then all the sudden the whole entire ring from my top one is gone. So I have a regular earring in its place. Don't know what to do now, but they should get more efficient earrings or tighten them up when they are originally pierced. Read Less

Chuy is the man!!! I have been thinking about getting a tattoo for years. I knew I wanted a Masonic tattoo. I went several places most of them were dirty and if I showed them pictures they would tell me why they couldn't do it. Then I went to wolfs. From the minute I walked into the place everyone was friendly. The place was clean. I told the receptionist that I wanted a Freemason tattoo and that I had a few pictures of what I wanted. She told me that she would go and get one of the artists. Chuy the tattoo artist came out shook my hand, he didn't make me feel like an idiot since this was my first tattoo. He asked me what I was looking for. Over the next week I sent him about 15 pictures. When I got there for my appointment he had not one, but two awesome drawings. I picked one. He did an amazing job. I just got a cover up done here by Adam and let me tell you that it was a great expierence! I got the original tattoo when I was 18 and out of someone's house so it was pretty bad and this was the first time in an actual shop for me and I will be back! Adam was so nice and made the expierence so comfortable and memorable for me. He was excited about doing a cover up, which I know a lot of artists hate. He considers it a challange. His price for what he did was amazing, I have had so many compliments and only got it done two days ago! Not only is the shop clean but all the artists are very talented, not rude what-so-ever! wolfs is not clean nor is it professional. a friend of mine went to get a tattoo on the anniversary of her husband's death, and asked me to come to document  her tattoo. I am a professional photographer and also have tattoos and understand you can't use flash or being rowdy while someone is getting tattooed. I have shot multiple times in multiple upscale and high end tattoo shops and was never hassled as much as I was when I was at wolf. Not only was my experience bad but the friend who was getting the tattoo had scheduled an appointment and had to wait over two hours to get started. And not because he was tattooing someone else. God only knows why it took so long to get started when we were the only people in the shop.  every other shop I have been too when you have an appoint scheduled they have their equipment ready and waiting to go. The equipment did not seem like they had disposable anything except maybe the needles. and not to mention the fact that the artist continually joked about her taking her shirt off for the tattoo which was not only creepy but completely unnecessary and unprofessional but in poor taste considering she was there to get a tattoo to mourn the loss of her husband.    and aside from how rude the artist was and overpriced his work was for such low quality work, I wouldn't get tattooed here, because I would be afraid of what sort of blood born pathogen I would come home with.also from asking around afterwards two of my friends told me:I was going to go to them for my first tattoo ever and I was trying to get some advice from one of the artists and his response was "look, I don't care where you want to get it done, it's just money in my pocket either way." Needless to say, I didn't get anything done and I never went back.That place is so gross. I went there a few years ago to watch my friend get a tattoo and one of the guys working there offered to pierce my nipples for free. To bad west side is a dump and can't find a decent artist to even draw a straight line. Wolfs fine line is one of the cleanest places and is also involved with the state and makes the health inspection rules for tattoo studios in Illinois.
