If I could give a 0 star, I would. I got this tattoo thinking it would look exactly like the picture I had showed the tattoo "artist" (pretty sure he was the owner too). First of all, my tattoo is crooked. Second, it's not filled in all the way. The ink job is awful. Third, these shapes do not look anything close to a moon- yes, it's supposed to be a moon phase, but you probably couldn't tell. My brother actually makes fun of me and says I have a WiFi bar on my arm. The artist smelt like weed and I didn't notice the smell until he had already started giving me the tattoo. When he was finished I felt sick because it looked like absolute shit. I don't think he realized this would be on my arm FOREVER. He then charged me "$60 minimum" for this small, god awful tattoo. Oh and ANOTHER thing, I have another tattoo that healed perfectly fine and I took care of both tattoos the exact same way, but the moon phase tattoo managed to get grossly infected. I had "oatmeal" scabbing and puss coming out of it. Thankfully, my tattoo is healed now and it's small enough that it can be covered up somewhat easily. I got this tattoo at the beginning of October and I still feel sick when I look at my arm and see this disgrace. PLEASE do not make the mistake of going to this tattoo shop like I did!!!! They don't deserve anyone's service.

Ed fit me in for my very first tattoo and worked with me to get the design absolutely perfect, as it held very special meaning to me. He made the whole experience very nice as I was very nervous at first because I've never had a tattoo before and am super scared of needles. He chatted with me about shows and books to keep me distracted and was done before I knew it! It looks great and he is a super awesome guy. Will definitely be going back to him for all future work. The shop looks amazing and has a really cool vibe.

Solid tattoos and very professional. Ed doesn't let any grass grow under his feet either. He's very quick and very good at what he does. My wife and I have tattoos from Ed. We plan on continuing to be repeat customers of Eds. I would highly recommend him to others. He's not stuck on one style either. My next tattoo from him will be new school. I'm not one bit worried like I would be at other shops that only stick to one style.

An experience and always a pleasure to visit Hawk's Tattoos. Prices are fair and work is top notch (unless you're some douche that wants your current boyfriend's name tattooed on you, then I would charge you 3x the normal rate for being a douche). Great shop in alittle ol'town that has character. Galesburg truly holds it's own.

This is a great shop with some very talented artists - their prices are fair and they definitely take care of repeat customers. The entire tattoo process can be scary to first timers, but they're all friendly and will make it as painless (ha!) as possible. Each artist has several photo albums of their work available to look through and you should definitely go through them to get a feel for what styles the artists excel in - I'd say all three can do just about anything, but Ed is the man for old school designs, Hawk will nail anything Native American influenced, etc.

If I could give a 0 star, I would. I got this tattoo thinking it would look exactly like the picture I had showed the tattoo "artist" (pretty sure he was the owner too). First of all, my tattoo is crooked. Second, it's not filled in all the way. The ink job is awful. He made the whole experience very nice as I was very nervous at first because I've never had a tattoo before and am super scared of needles. The entire tattoo process can be scary to first timers, but they're all friendly and will make it as painless (ha!) as possible.
