I took my oldest daughter here 7 years ago when she turned 16 and getting your belly button pierced was the thing to do (pick your battles). We had a great experience there, so fast forward to now when the younger kid needs a piercing...I was happy to see they're not only still around but still have awesome reviews. My younger daughter had her ears pierced twice before, once as a baby and again in junior high. Both times I had them done at Claire's in the mall (I know, I know...I was a young mom and didn't know any better at the time). Both times they closed up quickly even after having the studs in for several months. I wasn't messing around this time - she's 19 and wanted them done right. We came into Body by Design and immediately noticed how clean it was. Everyone was super nice and the girl who pierced my daughter's ears did an awesome job. They even have a sign on the wall explaining why piercing guns are a bad time. I went in the other night to have my nose pierced. It was my first time there. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The shop was very clean and I love that they have separate rooms so your experience isn't shared with everyone. There were other customers in the waiting area but Amber came to get me for my piercing not too long after I arrived. She was extremely nice, answered every question I had, and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The placement of the nostril piercing was absolutely perfect. She had me check her mark before proceeding and she had it exactly where it should go. She was also very helpful regarding aftercare and assistance I may need once it heals.I'll definitely return to Amber for future piercings and I look forward to looking into the work of their tattoo artists for my next tattoo. On May 12th,  my sister and I had an infinity  "faith" tattoo done,  by Bob. He did an awesome job! If you are not of Caucasian decent I advise you to steer clear of this place! As soon as I walked in the door I was given this nasty and rancorous look! After being ignored for several minutes, I inquired about being tattooed by one of the artist. He informed me that they were all booked for the Entire weekend and I'd have to check back next week. Also he couldn't guarantee an appointment because he wouldn't be able to perform the work himself. As you can imagine, I was done after I walked in the door! This is my go-to place! I just got pierced by Amber yesterday, and she was so thorough, yet chill. Shot my nerves down right away. The other male piercer did my tragus piercing about half a year ago, and he was great too. Even changed my earring out for me when I was ready to switch the jewelry out for a new one. Kenny has done two tattoos for me that I absolutely adore and I now consider him my tattoo guy! Another artist has there has done two small tattoos for me that turned out great, and Derrick (I believe that is his name!) did first tattoos for sister, brothers, and cousin, who all loved their experience and are coming back for more. It's been 23 days since my Industrial Bar piercing done by Amber. The bar looks great and did not get infected by following her directions on proper care. Amber was knowledgeable and answered all my questions with reassurance.  She was able to keep me comfortable as I was really nervous about not just one, but two piercings in my cartilage.  She was talking to me as she pierced, which in my head I thought was going to be worse than it was. The location was really clean and from what I saw there were a lot of repeat customers which kept me at ease. I went to Body By Design for my tattoo.  Kris Cagle did an excellent job!  He worked with me on the design and placement.  I knew going into it that I would be a baby but I quickly learned I have a weaker pain tolerance than I anticipated.  Kris was awesome  letting me know where he was at in the process and making me feel completely comfortable to take breaks as needed.  The shop is easy to get to, clean, and has privacy.I did the outline in 1.5 hours and went back for a 2 hour color session after the outline healed a bit.  I still plan to go back in a few weeks to touch up the details as I mentioned before that  I was not the ideal customer, but Kris is understanding and cool with me breaking up the process into multiple sittings.Its been just over a week since the color was completed and I have no more scabbing and it looks great! I have gotten tons of compliments on it.  When I decide on my next tattoo I will absolutely be contacting Kris! Read Less

I went to Body by Design last night with my BFF and might i add this was my FIRST tattoo ever at the age of 41! I was so pleased with how comfortable I was and how nice the guys were. I got my tattoo done yesterday (4-24) by Kris. He re-colored an old tattoo and then added a new bow. The original work (the bow) looks amazing - outlined perfectly, shaded perfectly. He was great to work with, easy to discuss what I wanted done, I didn't feel rushed and he did a really wonderful job. I love it and really couldn't be happier.The parlor itself was clean, and the other staff were very nice, and I felt very comfortable. I have been to several tattoo parlors where I have felt ignored, or like the artist was bored and burdened with what I wanted, or just not welcome, but NOT this place. I went to Body By Design over a year ago for a piercing by Derrick. He is really nice and easy to talk to and he was able to answer all of my questions. Overall it was a nice experience. Quick and easy considering what I was getting done. The reason I give Body By Design only 3 stars is because the placement of the piercing is off slightly. Just barely enough off center that if I let it heal up and get it done again, it wouldn't be worth it. Also, the quality of the jewelry could be better. My artist Kenny was so sweet and made me feel comfortable through the  entire process. I use a wheelchair so getting out is not the easiest thing to do. He and I were able to address most of the details via e-mail. (Other places were not so willing) I went to the shop to get the actual design completed and I love it!!! I had a big tattoo done on my thigh here just last night. Matt did it and I had the most amazing time. My tattoo looks incredible and it was cheaper than I had anticipated. If you're looking to get tattooed, go to body by design. The couple weeks wait is worth it.
