Good work, but expensive. But NEVER COME HERE FOR A FRIDAY THE 13th SPECIAL. You take a back seat to all the other appointments they have for large expensive pieces. There are too many shops in Chicago that dedicate their entire day to their Friday the 13th special. Came in here for a tattoo to honor my friend who recently passed away along with his mother. From the moment we walked in we felt a very professional presence and friendly atmosphere within the shop which helped calm the nerves of my friend's mother who was coming in for her first ever tattoo. I must add that they have some very impressive Star Wars decor throughout the entire store that gives it an authentic and unique feel compared to your average tattoo shop. Lukasz, the t...attoo artist working on us made us feel comfortable and assured us that he wanted us to be perfectly happy with the drawn tattoos before we got them and told us if there is anything we don't like or want changed to not hesitate asking-something that I have not experienced in other shops that make you feel like a number on their list of clients and ultimately just want to get you in and out. On top of that, our tattoo artist had some kind of gentle magical touch because neither I nor my friends mom felt virtually any pain. We both ended up leaving extremely happy with our new artwork and we felt that the memory of my friend was going to be with us literally and figuratively for the rest of our lives. Lukasz also tattooed my friend himself and we were modeling our tattoos after the previous ones he completed on my friend years before his death. He did an excellent job executing the similarities despite me getting a completely different and very feminine font than my friend had chosen for his years prior. I couldn't have been happier about the placement, size and font of the words that we ended up going with. It has only been a little over a week and everything is already nearly healed up. Lukasz did my "Queen Bee" tattoo I waited since 2014 to get this tattoo. I met the artist who drew it with ball point pen her name is Morgan Davidson. I fell in love with it because of my first dog name was Honey and she was always called queen bee. The significance of this tattoo was so much meaning to me. I had it on my background on my phone ever since I met Morgan in 2014. Constantly reminding me I'm going to get this tattoo someday but who is going to do it was the real ...question. I'm in the Navy and I was searching for tattoos on chicago tattoos Instagram and came across krol body art. I researched the artist and the shop and ended up meeting everyone at the tattoo convention. I told Lukasz my story and the picture of the queen bee and he knew he had to do this tattoo for me. To have a good feeling meeting the tattoo artist that cares and is willing to go out of their way to create a piece of artwork you will cherish forever. Nicole Rizzo is the bomb dot com No, but for real, I'd been wanting to get a tattoo of the Shenron from Dragon Ball for years. Since I grew up with it, I wanted it to be like perfect. She did a great job, like I can't believe how perfect it turned out haha. and she even put up with my nonsense skype call for the time being. This shop is super clean, filled w Star Wars goodies, and the artists are extremely talented and awesome to work with. They listen, inspire and are helpful with recommendations. I personally get inked by Pete Krol the owner and his work is award winning & exceptional. I have gotten majority of all my ink done at this shop and would highly recommend it. I came in to get a tattoo, and I was super happy with my experience until I was told the price. I did not expect that a quote being only two lines long, and 12 words would cost me two hundred dollars! I was extremely caught off guard that I asked twice for the price. She repeated both times two hundred. I am pretty tattoo savvy and have quite a few of them and quite a few big pieces at that, and cost me two fifty to three hundred each and mind you it was in full color. This was my first time there and definitely my last. I really do love my tattoo but I feel as though I could have gotten the same quality for cheaper. Also, to make matters worse, she waited until I was done to tell me the price. Very shady!! I was not even verbally told after care instructions. I was extremely disappointed. If you're looking for quality it is a great place, but the price would shock you. If I had Krol himself doing my tattoo I would have understood, but this was just absurd. Best hidden gem ever. I went for a black-and-white realism piece with colored accents on my shoulder after visiting their booth at a show. They left a great impression. All of their artists are extremely talented if you look at their portfolios. Great hourly rates and very nice interior. They had movies playing during the whole session (3.5 hours) and comfortable seats. I will be back for all of my work in the future. Miles ahead of the competition in the area. This is by far the best ink spot in all of Chicagoland.  The staff here is top notch and professional.  All the artists here are chalk full of talent and make this a comfortable place to get inked up. Jerry's work is amazing as he pays attention to detail.  Everything I've gotten from Jerry I'm more than pleased with and will be be for years to come.
