I went in with a friend of mine to get something simple done on my wrist. The lady up front was nice and informative. The man who did my tattoo, Greg, I believe, was respectful, did a great job, was efficient, and overall took care of me. His associate, who was working on my friend's tattoo, was the complete opposite. I think his name is Fred, and let me tell you, this man has issues. Unprofessional, ignorant, racist, and gossip girl are just a few things that come to mind when I think of that "artist". It started by my friend showing him the symbol she wanted , (which was the size of a half dollar) and since he knew where the symbol came from , he thought it was ok to interrogate my friend and myself on the meaning of that symbol and our ethnic background the majority of time we were there. Did I mention this was Memorial Day? I'd rather pay my respects to the troops and talk about them, then go back and forth on the history and language of "my people". After that, I tuned dude out for the most part until I heard the word N*****s and I'm thinking ok which poor culture/sub culture is getting it next? Then he talked some smack about some of his own co workers as well as some regulars that used to see him and now see the other artists(I can see now why they don't anymore) while he slowly did my friends tattoo. Something that takes easily 10-15min was almost 40-45min. He would literally do a small line and stop and talk for what seemed like forever; either he really enjoyed our company or was trying to make my friend suffer. Will I come back here again? NO. Why would I pay someone for a service and a nice experience to have them try to make me feel less than myself during that experience? This was supposed to be a memorable experience with a close friend and it still is, because every time we look at our tattoos and think of that night , we just burst out laughing!
