Now black people are always saying we need to start supporting black businesses. I  try my hardest to do that but it is very hard when it seems like your own mistreats you than yhe opposite. I say this bc we go in the receptionist asks what my husband would like. He informed her. She politely excused herself to let us know how long it will be. She comes back and informs us 2 hours. My husband and I agreed. As we were waiting for her to give us paper work to fill out, she decided to be on her phone and check in other customers that were after us. She proceeded to have a conversation about parking with the clients that were in the front. Mind you we are still waiting for her to acknowledge us. Fyi I also wanted a tattoo but she wouldn't know that bc she is avoiding us. I do believe she wanted us to leave . This would have been my 1st tattoo. Maybe it was a sign lbvs. Very rude. I went here and got my baby girl's ears pierced. This place was amazing! They made me feel comfortable and at ease. My little one cried for all of 5 seconds on the second ear and was held and rocked by the tech! They have a customer for life! Read Less

This is the first time I've taken the time to give a review of an establishment , positive and or negative.  After receiving the outstanding service from Reggie at Inkhart Tattoos & Body Piercing.  I had to take the time and post my experience. I should say our experience.  My daughter was turning 18. She wanted a tattoo. We checked out other establishments before deciding on Inkhart. Upon meeting Reggie I knew he would take care in making my daughter's experience pleasant and reassuring. He did not disappoint. He was professional, walked her through what to expect and answered questions when presented to him. Upon doing the tattoo, Reggie kept her engaged with meaningful conversation. I had the most pleasant experience at Inkhart!! All the reviews I read definitely did not disappoint. When I got there the receptionist was open and helpful. I didn’t have to wait long at all to meet the tattoo artist which to my pleasant surprise was the owner!! He was funny welcoming and warm. Very knowledgeable of his craft and was open- minded to my ideas and suggestions as well. I enjoyed myself and wish the tattoo took longer than it did!! I like this spot. The folks in the front were so chill and professional. I got my nipples pierced and the piercer was cool. She was punk and had the obvious attitude but she did a good job. She wasn't delicate which is something I valued because I wanted them done and over with. I would give them 5 stars if they had piercing/tattoo soap, balm or sea spray for sale. I def support black owned businesses and that would've been an easy sale for me. I did find H2Ocean which is a phenomenal spray but but it off amazon and not Spencer's. You can get the can twice the size for the small can they charge for $10.Read Less

My mom got her 1st tattoo here at age 56 she was nervous about it but once she got here she was comfortable. She can be crazy about cleanliness and even brings her own tools to the nail shop but here she was so comfortable and could really see how clean it was . She didnt even blink or say one word about it being sanitary. She loved her tattoo. I got a tattoo also and I love it. It healed fast and well. This tattoo establishment was not for me, they were very unprofessional. I will be going to Smitty's in Blue Island where they kept to their word and do what they said they would do! I am very disappointed. I was told to wait 30 minutes, I waited an hour and a half which would have been ok had the tattoo artist not acted like he didn't remember talking to me face to face on 12-22 and today. Then wanted to put other people ahead of me. My time is precious just like everyone else's. I will not be back to this establishment or give my money. Read Less

I went here on Thursday evening for nipple piercings. They did EVERYTHING by the book upon arrival (the legal stuff). I was AFRAID to the max! Taj was so patient with me and efficient. Although it was painful she was overstanding and quick. I'm now a few days out and can't believe I waited this long to get this done. I've been wanting em done for YEARS, but was apprehensive because of the painful thoughts I couldn't shake. Yayyyyy for being able to scratch it off my "fuq it" list! This is the place to go! Went here yesterday to get a tragus piercing!!!! I was scared at first but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming & the staff was very polite and made me very comfortable! The piercing wasn't bad & the process was quick! They are very professional & the lady that did the piercing was nice..... I've used the services of Inkhart several times and as I ready myself for this next tattoo I am moved to review my favorite ink spot. The last tattoo I received confirmed my appreciation of Reggie owner of Inkhart. I never know what I want but that's the good thing about Reggie, he is an artist. He hand draws my ideas and have great input so that I am always 100% satisfied. The shop is very clean and everyone is professional. I sent him several pics with the concept of what I wanted and what he designed was better than I expected. But the guy who did my piercing jay was very clean, informative and fast.  Overall very very good experience. I had the best experience, that I did a second tattoo two weeks later.  I am a newbie to the tattoo world and found this shop by first driving by then looking them up online.  The review I saw on here was only regarding a piercing but I figured what the hell and went in for a consultation.  I met with the owner Reggie who, immediately made feel at home.  We talked about the tattoo for a while and searched for images and we agreed on an idea.  I was so impressed that I had forgotten to ask about his own personal work, he just gave off a confidence that he knew what he was doing.  I did finally ask to see his work and impressed.  I am came in two days later and reviewed the sketch but by then I had come up with a few changes that I wanted to make.  The first one was very artistic and great but wanted to go a different route and Reggie obliged.  When I cam in on the day of the tattoo appointment, I was thoroughly  impressed and we started the 3 hour process.  Reggie hung in with me since it was my first time and was getting a very detailed tattoo.  I finally tapped out , after the three hours.  He asked me to give him 15 more minutes to finish and I did.  I was so very pleased that I immediately sent the picture out to everyone I knew.  After the tattoo I had some concerns and with no hesitation Reggie answered all my questions over the phone or via text.  When I came back for the second tattoo, Reggie expressed that he really wanted to finish his vision for the first tattoo, by adding some minor details.  I let him finish and I must say I was thrilled.  I got the second tattoo which was more simpler and I am happy with that one too.  Reggie is great, he will help you shape your vision for your tattoo and will advise you in your best interest, not just take your money and tattoo any old thing on you.  I highly recommend this tattoo shop.  This was the only experience that I can say I enjoyed during my 2.5 months in  Chicago.  I would give Inkhart 6 stars if I could... I had the worst experience with a piercer on the south side.  I came to Jay at Inkhart Tattoos and he hooked me up.  He told me how to care for my new nose stud and he was very professional and provided great customer service.  The other employees that I came in contact with were just as awesome with their customer service.  I will be back when I'm ready to cover up this stupid Mickey Mouse tat I got when I was a teenager.  I highly recommend this place!
