I didn't end up getting my piercing here. I called at 7pm and the shop closes at 9pm. I called for a nose piercing With Bob. He answered the phone I asked him what that night looked like for him if he had time. He said he had two clients waiting and that he would be ready by nine. I get there at 845 just in case he was early. Instead of it being at nine. He said it would be ten. Upon entering I wasn't greated and it smelled like mildew. I stopped by on a cross country road trip in a panic over a bad nostril piercing I'd gotten done in Denver. Within 36 hours the skin had healed over the piercing and I couldn't get the disk of the ring back through. Bob was super helpful, thoroughly explained all my options, and was gentle when forcing the piercing back through. He also gave some great after care directions and product to help reduce swelling and prevent infection /further complications. I only wish I had gotten my piercing done here in the first place! Bob is awesome, Patient, talented and overall one of the coolest men around.. He helped me tremendously with getting my first tattoo.. mind you it is a large chest tattoo..I lost my mom and I wanted something that would represent her to the fullest because my Love is Pain and I miss her dearly.. We put our creative minds together and created a masterpiece! (In my eyes that is.. lol) .. once all the groundwork was done.. Bob got to work!.. he has a great sense of humor.. which helps ease the fear and tension, and before I knew it ..He was done!!.. I came here with a friend on Saturday, October 8 2016. We have previously talked about tattoo and she told me about this place, at first I was a little skeptical because of the area I live in, but after looking over their facebook profile and reading reviews, I finally had the courage to try it out myself. For a first time, I really enjoyed my experience, the environment was  not intimidating and it was also very clean, it smelled clean too :) the tattoo artist went over the drawings and  basically did mention a few things I didn't think about when placing the tattoo on my body, so that was a plus for me :) he was humorous, pleasant and helpful, I would assume some tattoo artist would not say anything if they messed up a little-even if it wouldn't be noticeable, but this artist spotted a minor flaw and let me know, I am a little of a perfectionist so when i saw it, it was a little bothersome after knowing the minor "wiggle" but he suggested to make the lining thicker and I agreed, thus fixing it :) I look at my tattoos now and I really like both of them! the artists did a very well done job! The place I wouldn't recommend to anyone. It has a lower price than most for a reason. Upon entering we were not greeted. It took a while for them to even notice us. He was relatively nice once he finally saw we were there (he saw us when he first walked in, *sarcasm alert*) He pierced my nose and didn't ask if I liked the placement or anything. Just pierced it and I left. I noticed that the bar was too short and called, instead of telling me to come in to fix it, he b**ched that I hadn't iced it. He doesn't know what I did, noses are all different, and in t his case the bar was too short, and didn't give enough room, regardless of icing. He was no help, hung up on me, horrible service. Anyway, I went to another piercer who was kind enough to fix it and make the stud have more room to adjust. I'll go to him and just pay extra from now on then deal with crappy service. Place is legit!  I have been to several shops over the years and found this hidden gem about 4 years, and will only go to Inknum.  One of the most talented artist I have seen in Chicago land area.  Shop is immaculate, prices are extremely fair, and the quality of work is impeccable.  Don't let the location fool you, this is the best shop in the burbs hands down, and I will only get my ink done by Bob! Have several tattoos and piercings by Bob, some flash and custom. Bob is definitely an artist first and entertainer second.  I would recommend setting up an appointment, but its not necessary.  I've gone in a couple times without one, and had no issues.  Very clean and sterile work area, making me feel at ease knowing that I won't catch any creepy diseases.  All in all a great artist! Went here to get my labret pierced like a thousand years ago. Bob's first attempt was off center, for realz. Needless to say, when he went back to pierce it properly, the area was much more tender. Boo!!!That being said, I've seen quite a bit of his tattoos displayed on some friends. Solid work. Nothing that blew me away but not shoddy either. Hopefully his aim has improved over the years. I've gone to bob for years for miscellaneous tattoo work. I have also referred a lot of friends to him. His shop is close to where I used to live and is one of the best! I'd travel back to the suburbs to go to him. He has reasonable prices and great artistic suggestions. The shop is clean and well maintained. I will be getting my half sleeve there soon...hopefully!
