For some reason Facebook won't let me rate this a 1�. Because of this experience I have been super nervous abiut getting anything else done. I waited until I was 30 years old to finally get my first tattoo. It was a design that I'd had picked out since I was 18 that meant a lot to me, so I was definitely sure of exactly what I wanted it to be, in exactly the colors that I wanted. It should have been simple enough because it was solid line Celtic in two very specific colors. ...Dark Green (think Green Bay Packers green)and Plum Purple. Now, well most of the work was solid enough, there are definitely lots of places that needed touch-ups. When everything was healed, the colors I had were navy blue and teal green. Because it's located at the bottom of the back of my neck I could not see exactly what they were doing. I don't understand when I've seen thousands of other tattoos and people get them in the colors that they weren't how green and purple became navy blue and turquoise there was ZERO discussion that Chris was going to change the colors on me. If there had been I would not have gotten the tattoo. Chris had printed off the design that I sent him and the print off was in the correct colors. To wait 12 years to get a tattoo that I had delegated on and I finally get it and its in the wrong colors? I have never gone back, and I've shown the original art compared to what Chris did many times to others and always been met with a "how did he mess that up, it was so easy" followed by confusion and disappointment. Simple solid line work in two colors. I cried a lot over and over again when I realized that the colors were really blue and turquoise... It being my first and only tattoo, I kept hoping that it would magically heal into the colors I had very specifically requested. I know what needs to be done now to have it fixed to resemble more of the way I really wanted it, but it really blows having to shell out more money for something that should have been easy and not have had mistakes made. Got my nose pierced by Kivaka and he did an awesome job! I've only ever had my ears pierced so I was a little nervous about it but he was super down to earth and hilarious! He used fresh materials for everything involved and threw away everything when he was done. The pricing was great too, I will definitely be coming back for all of my next piercings. Read Less

For a loyal customer I've spent plenty of time in the Ronin tattoo and body piercing shop, any time I've gone in for a service or just to say whassup it's always been a laid back experience. No one has ever been over the top factual or intellectual about what I'm looking to get done. I get straight forward answers every time with no strings attached, just plain and simple. From a customer based experience, in today's tattoo/piercing industry you would expect if a shop is over the top did up and the customer service is out of the norm slightly uncomfortable your bound to get a great tattoo/piercing.. But maybe not a great experience. For me, all those dynamics need to be there, a well rounded environment/customer service and a great experience, most of all you are content with your tattoo. I'm in Aurora to see family, and I emailed Troy on a whim about a tattoo I knew I wanted, but needed some assistance with how to go about it. I have been to this shop many many times! Kivaka has done multiple piercings for me and I always bring my friends to him (even my mom!). Troy is a fantastic tattoo artist! I am so very happy with the work Troy did today on the winged cat tattoo in honor of the one year anniversary of my cat's passing. This tattoo was extremely important for me, and he captured all the right nuances. I can't begin to explain how much it means to me. The shading is perfect, and I adore the use of white ink to highlight aspects of the wings. Malmö, my husband is very happy with the moon rocket tattoo Chris did for him today, especially the changes Chris made to the shading to make it appear more metallic in nature.
