I got a recommendation for Wanda for microblading my brows. I saw someone with really good eyebrows and she told me they were micro-bladed and gave me Wanda's name. Then I waited TWO YEARS. For two years I waited to do this. I could kick myself.This lady is a pro. I went in with two file folders, actually 3. I showed her all the colors I liked. Then shapes, then what I DID NOT WANT. My main concern is that I'm a natural blonde and I didn't want to look harsh and unnatural...like a dyed bottle blonde.My brows are light and sparse. At one time in my life my brows were almost white. I just always felt that good brows make your eyes pop and have so much to do with framing your face. I was always envious of my friends who had good ones. As I reached my 40's they lost hair toward the edges. By the inner brow near the nose they were ok for fullness and then they stopped.So the day of my appointment I was so nervous I sat in my car and thought about not going in. I'm so glad I did. She listens to you and as long as you follow your after care by doing exactly what it says, they are going to turn out. I'm only ONE WEEK IN and I love them so much. At 30 days I go in for a touch up. Sometimes when healing some pigment fades when they flake up with healing. The touch up appointment is when she fills that in or corrects anything you need. I started going to Wanda almost 12 years ago. She gave me beautiful eyebrows and eyeliner. I didn't have to put makeup for years after that. I made appointments to refresh the color a few times. Then I stopped  having my eyebrow tattoo refreshed because I decided to try and grow back my over plucked eyebrows. I used different ointments for several years but the eyebrows didn't grow back. The tattoo  on my eyebrows was almost gone. By then, a new form of brow tattoo became all the rage: feather stroke. A friend of mine got one and I decided to get one as well. Although the artist was expensive and had all kinds of licenses and endorsements on her walls, I went home with a horrible, unbecoming shape that made my face just ugly.  The eyebrows made me look angry. Every time I looked in the mirror, I got upset. I kept recalling the first time I came home with permanent makeup from Wanda all those years ago. How, despite the greasy ointment, I kept looking in the mirror and feeling beautiful. I realize now that, it's not enough to be good at the actual tattooing. One has to be an excellent makeup artist - which Wanda is. She sees a person's face and draws eyebrows that enhance that face. Until I went to a different artist, I hadn't realized that not everyone is good at the actual design of the eyebrow shape. Wanda  is good at both the design and the stroke. I went to Wanda to camouflage a scar I have on my upper lip. It took me a long time to find the Park Ridge, IL office as the address was not recognized by google maps. The office is on the second floor of a nondescript multi-level brown building. I am a clean-shaven male, so Wanda had to blend the color of the scar with my shaven mustache hairs. It has not yet been a day since my procedure but the scar is already 70% lest noticeable. The total cost of the procedure was $300 ($50 to set-up the appointment, $250 combined for both half-hour sessions, each spaced four weeks apart). Wanda is a very nice lady. Wanda saved my self esteem. I had a really bad eyeliner job done by someone else and it left me embarrassed and fearful that i would never look "normal" again. I found someone different to try to "fix" it and spent almost $700 on 5 treatments for removal/correction that barely made any difference at all. I was feeling totally hopeless until I found Wanda.
