Got a tattoo and 2 days after it was burning like crazy and started to scab real bad. 3 weeks later the yellow and white( that were supposed tp be at least) have big spota of skin off. Wont go back wont ever recommend. Also of you can tell the lining of the tattoo has staggered lines. You can see breaks rather than being smooth. Went here cause of the good reviews took daughters for a industrial bar piercing the guy that was doing the piercing had us go in to a room and he was just nervous he didn't explain cleaning care of ear and he messed up one of my girls ear. He didn't apologize for messing up she was bleeding he didn't go across the ear and ended up puncturing her ear lobe god knows what he was thinking. He finished and just said pay the guy very rude when we left the room his girl was waiting with some lunch bags outside the room he ran to her grab lunch and sat down in same room of the piercing odd. I'll start off by saying this is a strictly piercing rating. To begin with, I called around 6 pm to see what time the piercer stayed until and made an appointment closer to closing time when they weren't as busy. I walk in and had to wait 30 mins for a piercer who wasn't piercing anybody. He finally let my boyfriend and I into the room to find he was talking with his friends(not even workers) the entire time, who didn't leave the room until I was about two to get my piercing. VERY unprofessional. I was getting my nipples pierced, but he didn't even know what size barbel to use on me and ended up telling me he needed to use a bull ring (Every other tattoo shop thought it was absurd he did this). I read every horror story online about the pain of the piercing and I have a high pain tolerance, but it was almost unbearable. Like I almost passed out by the time he did the second one. I cleaned it every day 2-3 times a day with the cleaner I bought there. It definitely got caught on every single type of clothing because of the bull ring. And worst of all, I go to the doctors and have to get the ring removed (it was stuck by scar tissue) because he pierced the AREOLA. I'm very displeased and am scarred by the pain I went through... I've wanted that piercing for SO LONG. Only reason it's not a one star review is because the tattoo artist have been great from what I've seen. Read Less

This is by far the absolute CLEANEST tattoo shop I have EVER seen... better yet the cleanest business in general. I witnessed them cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing EVERYTHING including handle bars to doors. I was extremely impressed and even more happy with the level of professionalism and service I received. Rick did a cover up for me and his art is absolutely breathtaking. I recommend this shop to anyone looking to get tattoos or piercings. They treat you with utmost kindness are super friendly and welcoming. You just can't go wrong with going to Chi Town Effects. Got my nipples pierced here and at the time I thought the shop was awesome. Later realizing they gave me jewelry that was far too small and tight leading it to imbed into my nipples ( I was given eyebrow bars not nipple bars).When I went to take the jewelry out, they would not unscrew after countless DAYS trying and even plyers. I got my nose pierced here about 2 months ago... very professional and clean. The guy (I can't remember his name) did a very good job at explaining how to take care of the piercing to me.
