We had another appointment with another shop in town and drove across state cause my daughter wasn't 18 yet but wanted a tattoo prior to her bday. THAT shop which I will not name gave us bad vibes even though they were rated highly. The artist we were scheduled with literally said he didn't give a "f' about what we wanted so why would I want him to use a needle on us! so circumstances happened and we ended up back at the hotel and decided no way we are going back....we searched and found inkworld! I was so happy they were able to fit us in since we were only in town couple of days. We had an appt with Richard and he was GREAT. I texted the images and when we got there, he really improved them! we are very happy! he was also very patient and spoke through the process since it was her 1st tat....he was awesome! he confirmed the image, the location...made sure we were set before starting and everyone in the shop had a more friendly attitude to customers and to each other. Says a lot when people get along. The other shop did not have that vibe at all. Idaho tattoo shops are not regulated if you didn't know but store is clean and they pay close attention to details of maintaining safety, even asking to not put items on the floor as yes blood is being sprayed as tattoos are happening. Single use needles, wipe down everything, wrap everything, gloves etc. and you can check on their site on all these details. They provided directions on cleaning and post care. I entered the shop as a walk in just looking for some pricing for my first tattoo. Anyway I came back about 20 min later and decided to get it done. Robert was my artist and he did a excellent job, I would recommend him to anyone. The shop was very clean and orderly. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Scott was horrible to talk to over the phone was very disrespectful to me when i had come all the way from washington i was nothing but respectful they also changed there prices on me it was supposed to be 75$ for a tattoo that only took them 15mins they tried to charge me 100$ for it and i had to pay 80$ unfortunately i had. This may sound stalker-ish, but I followed Robert McNeill to Inkworld from his former place, Blue Rose. His work is impeccable, and I have tremendous respect for him. One need only look at his artwork hanging up all over the shop and do a bit of research on how his work is known worldwide to realize that CDA is fortunate to have such an amazing artist working right here in the Lake City. So the first time I came here, it was fantastic. I got a gorgeous lion covering the top of me foot about 4 years ago and I loved it. The last time I went was not so awesome. My boyfriend and I came in to get small crescent moons. His has a corner in it, mine isn't properly shaded. Ive gotten multiple tattoos from ink world. And i absolutely LOVEEEEE every single one. I also have multiple tattoos from several other tattoo parlors and i dont hate them but i am always slightly disappointed when i go anywhere else. I'll start with the fact that I went in there with something I had drawn and had them redraw it ( I'm no artist) I looked at the proof and didn't even notice it was spelling wrong until it had almost healed. It was supposed to say " love is patient, love is kind"When they re drew it they wrote it wrongThey tattooed " love US patient, love US kind" I was pissed. After they put the proof drawing on me, I honestly didn't notice because it is upside down to me and I also couldn't  tell due to the cursive. I don't hate the tattoo but I DO NOT LOVE IT. I CALLED to tell them about it and they basically told me too bad you saw the drawing on your before we tattooed. (That's true, but it's the point.) on the phone they pulled the original drawing I'd brought in and confirmed they had re drawn it wrong. They did not offer to fix it or anything,That was about a year ago  I GUESS I can't blame them too much because I did have a chance to proof it when they drew it on me. Just didn't notice they changed my words ( the bible actually) So I want more tattoos and don't know any one else in town, I thought I'd give them a try again, maybe a different artist. THE GIRL ON THE PHONE Is really nice, but can't really answer questions because each tatt artist is different, no point to call as they don't call back.Sssoooooo I tried today to drop off a drawing so they can look at it and make me an appointment. I was told they were completely booked and I'd have to wait. Today is Saturday and I hoped to get it done on Monday. She was nice but I could tell I was bugging her or had interrupted something. She didn't tell me when they had an opening it was just kinda " yea he's booked too bad" kinda thing. I'm not going to try here anymore. Time one was messed up but I took responsibility for the most part but they should have paid attention to he scripture they were given. I tried  to get in there again, you know s$it happens let's try again, but NOPE. THEY DONT HAVE TIME for me or my money. Oh we'll... Any other tattoo artists looking for work? I'm needing a lot of work done here, sick of waiting. They probably just tattoo friends, not too many new customers. After Being treated not-so-professional and completely judged at another tattoo studio here locally, I was completely bummed out and discouraged.  A good friend of mine recommended Inkworld to me as she knows the owner Scotty's girl Cory.  Cory told my friend that I should come in and check them out as she would be there that Wednesday and Thursday.  I was beyond scared when I went in only to be treated with the utmost respect by everyone who was there.  (Thank you!) Lesson to everyone, NEVER JUDGE ANYONE!I completely felt mad love as soon as I talked to Cory and Scotty both.  (Mind you, I am always judged by the way I look as a "prissy" gal... that's what happened at the 1st place I think)We met back in Scotty's office and started talking about designs and life in general. Scotty asked me a lot about myself and what my vision for my tattoo would be, as this is a cover-up for a tattoo that's 20 years old. That in itself what a HUGE plus to me instead of being handed a book and told to pick something.  As we talked I couldn't help but to look around and noticed how clean and sanitized this place is! As I talked to Scotty about my thoughts, he was really engaged in the process.  He took an outline of the old tattoo and began his magic for the new one, right then and thereI was lucky to be able to schedule the Saturday night to come in and start (3 days later) Saturday night I walked in scared to death, I told Scotty that I apologize now as my mouth could become very vulgar and I'd probably throw out a ton of F-bombs and he assured me that it's okay regardless of what I could possibly say.  Scotty showed me the design that he came up with and it was better than I could ever imagine! As Scotty was about to begin he told me how the whole process would work, where he would start & what to expect.  Scotty also told me about a breathing trick that would help ease the pain and I'll be damned, it worked!!!  I brought my IPad along and played Candy Crush most of the time while he was doing his magic on my cover-up. The whole process lasted about 2-2.5 hours that went by so quickly. Not only is Scotty A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. artist and tattoo expert, he is unbelievably intelligent not only with "tattoo-talk" but with the whole world as it is. I not only found a very trustworthy artist, but a life long friend in him, and Cory. This was the most unprofessional tattoo experience ever!  Booked the appointment, placed a deposit, and got a price quote. One the day of the tattoo the price doubled so I declined the service. I was told the deposit was a "booking" fee and I also owed the shop a set up fee for performing absolutely ZERO work during a time when nobody else was in the shop! I had my first tattoo here about a year ago by Enzo and it was a terrible experience. It was my first tattoo and was supposed to be words on my foot and Enzo forgot a letter! Yes the shop is clean and has been in business for 15 years or so as the owner will tell you several times. IT seems to be his answer for everything. Cleanliness isn't an excuse for being an arrogant SOB. I went in there to get a tattoo from scotty he drew something up and it didnt soot me. So I brought in a pic from the internet that I liked. I gave him the pic merely as an example of what I liked and never said he couldn't doctor it up to soot his artistic needs but instead he became unbelievable rude. Stating that I wasn't a tattoo artist, I was dictating my tattoo and i was trying to tell him how to do his job. I assumed the tattoo was going on my body and I was the one who should like it but clearly i was mistaking its not only his way but u aren't allow to ask questions with out him getting hostile and talking down to you. I am sooo glad I did not let him anywhere near me. At the end of the day if I pay $1000 for a tattoo and it is exactly what I wanted then it's a great tattoo but if I spend $200 and it's what the owner wants but not my style then it sucks.
