Didn’t think it would be hard to mess up a semicolon, but this place managed. I asked to see pictures of small tattoos, and they showed me pictures of very large tattoos that were ‘so detailed and intricate’ that I had nothing to worry about. The guys there talked about spending my money on cocaine and the guy that did my tattoo took his gun out of his pocket to tell me it was ‘safe’. I was afraid to not get it. And the crappy tattoo was still $50. A crummy tattoo, overpriced and money wasted, and having a gun pulled out on me. Not ok. Read Less

I had already had my nose pierced but it was still relatively new and it came out. I did not like the place where I got it pierced and this place was on my drive home from work so I decided to try. I went in for a small finger tattoo with my best friend.The guy warned up about the technique used in order to blow out the ink. I consulted another tattoo parlor as both of our fingers are blue from the blown out ink and apparently its not supposed to look like that and the blow out was unnecessary in the first place. A picture was taken for this other parlors book of shame and the likelihood of it returning to normal color is slim. So I would not recommend going here, although Ink Vision does a great job! Super nice and I absolutely love my tattoo. I went in with a friend and we both love them! Jonny was super gentle, I barely bled unlike my other tattoos. Eric gave all kinds of advice for other tattoo ideas I have as well. I was also there for a piercing last week and Janelle did awesome, it did not hurt nearly as much as I anticipated. This place is THE best tattoo shop in Boise. They have great artistic advice and will help you get anything you want. The shop is very clean and everything is sanitized in front of you so you know your needles won't be used previously. The age limit is the same as Idahos law which is 14 and over with parents written consent. It is one of very few in idaho which does so. I've been reading alot about Daith piercing for migraines and since I've been suffering from migraines for over 20 years, I thought I would give it a try. Jay was professional, friendly and helpful and told me he had a 100% success rate as far as curing migraines. I'm all in with that. Migraines suck.Now I'm a big wimp. My mother had to drag me to get my ears pierced when I was 16 years old. And that was the last piercing I've ever done. Now I'm 49 and I'm going to get my daith pierced?! Plus, my mom is going to kill me! Ha ha!  So he went ahead and did the piercing.  I can't really explain the feeling of how it felt. It was more like pressure than pain. It kind of felt like he was squeezing my ear. I felt a little woozy for a minute or two and wasn't sure if I could do the second one, but then calmed down and decided to do it. The second one I hardly felt at all.What I noticed, though, was an immediate relief of the pressure in my head. My head always feels like I'm flying in an airplane. My ears pop continually, and I have a slight pressure in my head, that if I can't get it to release, turns into a migraine that sends me to the hospital or to bed for three days. My BFF said that he noticed instant relief on my face. I felt it too.Here it is about a week later.  I haven't had a migraine, although I still do have some pressure in my head. So I'm not going to say that my migraines are 100% cured. What I do say is that it relieved some pressure, and it's been a big relief.So anyone who suffers from migraines I say that this piercing is worth a try. It has definitely helped me.And the piercings aren't noticeable either. I bet my mom will never find out! :) Read Less

Swung by after calling to see if they had a piercer in to put one of my eight earrings in (it had fallen out and I can't get them in myself). Small shop, upstairs. The owner was super friendly, warm guy who makes you feel at ease right away. I got my septum pierced here last month and I love it! It was sore for a couple days but after that it was fine! And It was $40 for a piercing. I also didn't have an appointment, I just walked in and it was done in about 10 minutes. They also give you a paper that tells you exactly how to care for your piercing/tattoo afterwards, which is great for people who are getting their first piercings or tattoos. I'm actually shocked there are no reviews for Ikon yet! This place is great! I made a last-minute decision to get my nose pierced and had to find somewhere open until at least 8 o'clock, as I worked beforehand. (Why is that so hard to find on a weekday in this town??) I called ahead to check the pricing ($40 which including jewelry, pretty much the industry standard) and make sure I could walk-in after work. Jordan told me he might still be working on a tattoo, but to pop in and he would take care of me. I got there just after 7 to find Jordan there alone, which meant no waiting! I filled out some paperwork and climbed into the chair. He had me double check the placement and explained his reasoning when I questioned it. Since it was my face, he offered to move it, but what he said made sense so I went with the professional opinion. This was my 10th piercing, although all my other ones are on my ears, so I'm pretty used to the "deep breath in.. and out" routine. Jordan did a great job of walking my through it and was super friendly. Great customer service, fair prices, and awesome work. I will be back! Read Less
