I've had some tattoo work done with this shop in the past, roughly 10 years ago. Nothing but good vibes and great customer service. So when I finally (after nearly a year) decided to get my next piercing done this is one of the shops I initially considered. I called and got professionalism right off the bat. All of my questions got answered within seconds. I walked in so as expected there was a little wait. I didn't mind at all, it allowed me to "man up" before my piercing. Overall the piercing process was quick, a little painful of course but nothing crazy. My piercer was professional and personable which all helped me be as comfortable as possible. I came into Banzai Tattoo with a jacked up tattoo from another tattoo shop in 2012 in Waikiki (dude totally forgot to add Kahoolawe to the Islands‍). And I wanted to fix it whenever I came back out to Oahu but use a local tattoo shop.  I was a bit nervous that they would tell me they couldn't fix it.  However, Mike helped relieve my nervousness the moment he showed me his design.  In the photo, the top is the old tattoo and the bottom photo is the tattoo Mike created!  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY TATTOO!!!  I am so glad I decided to go to a local shop and NOT go back to Waikiki to get it fixed!  Mike and the Banzai team were awesome!  I felt like I was hanging out with my brothers. . I was itching for a tattoo and came here because of all the good reviews and this shop did not disappoint me!! I was greeted by the guy ( don't know his name ) at the front desk. He was very intimidating like I couldn't even look at him in the face. But he started cracking up jokes then I got all comfortable after. I was waiting for the guy to sketch my small tattoo and prep his station. It took about almost 45 minutes to do that. It was the only downfall but mind you I went in 10 minutes after they opened so I was basically the first one there. The shop is very clean and sanitary. Very professional. MIKE did my tattoo and he did such an awesome job. I got a tattoo behind my ear and I thought it was gonna be painful because I have tattoos on my chest, back,ribcage and they were painful to start with. He made me comfortable. We were talking before it started and didn't make it awkward at all. It was super quick and didn't hurt at all. I usually get tense before the needle touches my skin but with this one, I was sooo relaxed I wanted to sleep through it. I'm COMING BACK here for more tattoos DONE BY MIKE. Came here Wednesday to get my nose pierced. Cash only btw. Called to see if they accepted walk ins and they do! Plenty parking. It's a cute little spot. Super clean and bright. Very professional.Chad did my piercing and he was dope and helpful. Answered all my Q's and had cool convo. Quick and easy. I love my piercing. They give you a little after care sheet too, that I thought was informative af. I think I'll be going back to see the artists portfolios and maybe get some ink too. My two daughters and I decided to get matching tattoos while on a visit home to Oahu.  However it wasn't until our last day that we actually had time to go and chose Banzai because it was open on a Sunday and took walk ins.  This was my first tattoo so my daughters made me go first, we found a cherry blossom design we all liked (it was a bit bigger than I had wanted) but Howie made me feel comfortable and put my anxiety at ease.  He did a beautiful job on all three of us and my oldest whose had several other tattoos done, was impressed with his work.  Forever wanting a tattoo but too chicken to actually get it done, I am very happy with the image and thank my two girls for being there to share in the experience.  And another big Mahalo to Banzai and Howie for making my first experience in a tattoo parlor a pleasant and comforting one. Last night I went to see Catch for a tattoo that I've been waiting to get for over a year. The pic posted is the morning after. This tattoo is terrific, my expectations is overly met. Catch was very professional and super nice. The tattoo is very detailed and it only took about 4hrs to include little breaks about 5mins long. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it heals. Absolutely love this place. On a whim a friend and I were in need of some ink and stumbled upon Banzai. The guys were super friendly and accommodating. Mike listened to what I wanted and made it happen. I love traveling but I travel off the grid. I wanted a simple compass that didn't point north because I never follow. He was precise, but quick paced. He knew I knew what I was doing since I have a lot of tattoos. Very knowledgeable and a great conversation. I haven't found a place to get tattooed on the island until I met him. I've been looking for a shop I can go to regularly. After many friends recommended this place, I came here yesterday for a quote and came out w 2 tattoos! I have been coming to see sonny for the last 2 and a half years and he does a great job. He is great with line work and it always excited about any pieces that I bring in. Sonny and Mike are top notch! My wife and I came 3 years ago at the recommendation of a good friend and got work done then. Mike did an awesome tiki tattoo for her and Sonny did a fish hook for me. We waited 3 years to get back to the island and came straight from the airport and set appointments. My wife got a tribal/flower arm piece from Mike and Sonny added to his original fish hook for me and completed my chest on that side. 10/10 would go again! I have difficulty having conversations with people and is quite shy for a 19 year old like myself. But the artist was cool and super nice! I went in the shop and was just expecting to get consulted and get the tattoo the next day (like most places) but he designed it and tattooed me right then and there. Even though I just got a decent-size script tattoo, I felt a bit OCD about the design but he really took the time to understand what I wanted and how I wanted it too look. I got my first tattoo when I was 18 for no other reason than wanting a tattoo. A friend & I were in Pearl City late one night & impulsively decided to get inked together. Thanks to Banzai Tattoo's strategically placed sign which is easily viewed from the main street, we found ourselves at the front desk getting price quotes. In the short amount of time I had to contemplate what I wanted memorialized on my body forever--& considering my limited cash on hand--I decided to get the Japanese kanji for "family" on my lower back. We were introduced to Sonny & apparently I didn't look 18, so he politely asked for a photo ID. He did a quick sketch of what my friend envisioned for his piece, then proceeded to work on him first & then myself shortly afterwards. I told Sonny it was my first time getting inked & he frequently checked to make sure I was doing okay. Might I say, I didn't mind the pain. Afterwards, he applied an anti-bacterial ointment on my fresh tattoo, bandaged me up & went over the aftercare procedures.I don't regret getting this tattoo, but I think I'll put more thought into my next piece--which is years in the thinking.
