Love this place. The piercer is awesome, very upbeat and knows exactly what she is doing in the most sterile possible. She is all about clean, well done piercings. Eddie did my shoulder/arm tat and did amazing. It’s highly respectable to be able to just imagine art and draw it with little to no reference. Turned out better than I expected. I realized as I was sitting there he was paying close attention to how i was reacting to the needle pressures and would go soft or harder depending on how i was handling. I was expecting a somewhat painful experience (as tattoos don’t really feel great) but I was giggling and laughing most the time. Eddie was kind of rude and made me and my friend feel very off about the place. We had to reschedule our appointment, and he was an hour late to it. He was under the influence when he arrived. We decided to change our tattoos to a simpler design than the original and he told us it was going to cost $20 extra for the change, AFTER he already tattooed us. He did not shave the area before hand and gave us very little to no pointers on how to take care of a tattoo. It was my first tattoo and I didn't already know how to take care of it. My rating is the lowest...lowest of all.  I did'nt even want to put 1 star, but it made me.  Eddie Diaz is a total rip off.  My sister wanted to have a portrait done and Eddie had given me his hourly rate of what he charges.  So I sent him a pic to go on my sisters forearm and asked him if it was going to take 1 hour.  His response was "YUP" all in text messaging.  We then went to the shop and confirmed it will be an hour and he said yes one hour because he needed to leave to go and stay at the Aulani Hotel.  We then proceeded with the portrait and during that time he said he will give an even better deal.  So when he was actually done I asked...ok how much?  He then gave me a price that was almost triple what we had agreed on.  Then I questioned it and he started yelling that I'm on crack and he did'nt give me the other price (Which is all in text) and I don't know what I'm talking about and calling me all kinds of names.  YES...poor customer service.  During our visit Eddie Diaz had made about 10 smoke breaks...and not cigarettes,  it's Marijuana breaks.  And another note there were 3 children under the age of 6 in his shop.  This is a warning about his honesty...which he has none obviously.  He is a total rip off.  Actually,  I could have given him the price he text me on my phone and did'nt need to give him what he asked for because I have proof of it.  The BBB have been notified. I came here and got my ears pierced in Jan 2017 ... 4 months later one of my piercings was not healed properly ( it was painful to take the jewelry out and it hurt too much to put it back in myself ) I called for advice about what to do ( I was wondering if I should have the jewelry put back in or let it heal and repierce later) and the person at the shop said. .... something like .... I don't know - do whatever you want In my opinion that is an excellent example of poor customer service. If you have trouble with your piercing from this place you better look on Google for help or advice because the man at the shop that I spoke to did not seem to care. I still have more piercings that I want to get... and I'll go get them done someplace else. Hopefully this buisness can work on improving their customer service skills.Thankfully there are many different places to go get pierced on Oahu. Read Less

Went in and saw Eddie Diaz and let me be straight, this shop is comfortable, professional, clean, and will work with you. I can't speak to everyone's pricing but the quality for what I paid is top notch. Libra is another artist there who I got to see work while I was there and was awesome. This shop is one to visit. I'm writing this review on behalf of my gf, who came to get a portrait on her neck. That being said, you know who her appointment was with. Eddie Diaz! Let me just say that I am suuuuper particular about things so I was kinda nervous to see his sketch of the portrait. Omg and for no reason!! The sketch was so on point! And I can say that because it was my own face LOL. I was actually really excited to see the finished product because after seeing the sketch I was confident it was gonna come out super nice. AND IT DID!!! Eddie was super quick and clean. He's got good charisma, too. Oh and the other artist OG Libra was there too, no appts at the time so he was talking stories with us here and there. They also let me bring my dog in, so long as he behaved and stayed on the couch (and didn't go in the tattoo area) so that was pretty cool. Eddie Diaz at Odyssey tattoo has tattooed over 40 tattoos on me. 7 of them were portraits and one of them won 1st Place at the Long Beach, WA tattoo festival last year... He is one of, if not the best Portrait Artist on Island! But it doesn't stop there, he also does amazing art on everything from American Traditional through Japanese proved by his 2nd place win at last year's Pacific Ink and Art Festival on Oahu, that's a huge deal with all the Japanese pieces that were there from Japan and all over the world! I moved off Island 8 months ago and I haven't found an artist anywhere that has better versatility, I will be flying back from the mainland just so I can get some work done by Eddie again and to get that work done in his shop with it's awesome feel and friendly staff!
