When we arrived, we were shuffled from one artist to another, and finally they offered to call another tattoo shop and we could go there. Really? Referred from a friend to check this place out. Originally skeptical since it’s in Waikiki as I’ve only had work done by one other person. But do it, go in, see the shop, you won’t regret it. I had a custom piece made and done by Josh Flinn. I had a consult with him after looking at their portfolios online. I sent him in pictures and he fine tuned the little details of what I wanted. The final piece was gorgeous. If there’s anyone you go and see, see him. He was really patient with me as I changed the placement of my piece quite a few times (it’s forever, lol) and he was amazing. I wanted to have a typical Polynesian tattoo. Joshua Flinn tattooed the tattoo without an original. So I did not know what it would look like before. I was more than positively surprised. Yvonne is Amazing and the only artist I will go to! I've gone to get several tattoos done by her and ALL have exceeded my expectations. Her eye for style and detail in a designs is one of the best I've seen around Hawaii and around the West Coast. I've been to other artists and their work does not compare to hers. @Yvekang is her instagram handle and even though I have loyalty to another tattoo shop on the island her work drew me in for a consult and then tattoo. I've had some rough tattoo experiences and I was really looking for the right artist to help me bring some stuff together with a colorful piece, and damn did I go to the right place. Aside from being a super cool person and really talented artist, I have to comment on the atmosphere of the shop. Really cool vibe with good tunes and awesome style. When we were at the shop we were very impressed with how clean and new it was and how promptly we were spoken to and welcomed in. My experience at TattooLicious was above and beyond my expectations. It started almost 2 months before I even arrived in Hawai'i when I began communicating with Tina at the front desk from my home in Seattle (she was always available to answer questions). The shop itself is immaculate, classy, and inviting. Andy introduced himself and we discussed what I wanted and what he came up with is a masterpiece (in my humble opinion). He took my idea and tweaked it so it is unique. Every step of the way Andy talked me through what he was doing, gave me options, and made sure that I was as comfortable as I could be. Tina even brought me a water! I am in love with my new tattoo and it is definitely my favorite in my collection. My wife and I were on holidays in Hawaii and she planned on getting a tattoo whilst we were there (prices in Australia are ridiculous and finding a decent artist is not easy). My wife researched for months and finally decided on Tattoolicious, boy am I glad she did. After our initial consultation with the awesome Siren Sam and having a look at the cleanliness and professionalism of the place I also decided to get the 3 tattoos I had been wanting for a while. The day of the booking it couldn't have been more pleasant. Sam had absolutely nailed the 6 designs my wife and I had emailed and then we were ready to go. To say Sam was light of hand an incredibly fast (without rushing) would be an understatement. All up my Wife and I got 6 tattoos and all of them are amazing. The most amazing part was the price we were charged! $345 for 6 tattoos was outstanding! First time getting a tattoo and I came to the right place! First in hawaii also. Traveler and wanted something spontaneous.  Siren is awesome! She walked me through some steps and I was pretty nervous. She checked on me here and there if I was okay. Overall a really great experience! I wanted a simple lotus and and it came out perfect, just what i wanted! Her lotus shades is on point! Faded from purple to fuchsia to pink to light pink. Love this place, got my tattoo done by Enson, and he did a great job, my husband actually got a tattoo at Electric Paradise tattoo for twice the price and half the quality. So my son came into town & we wanted to get father/son tattoos. I knew about this shop because my wife and I tried to get with Sean McReady...suuuper booked FYI. That being said, they booked us with Bronson for initial consultation. We both gave him our thoughts on tattoos. My son wanted a skull with flowers/plants making the outline of it with flowers tattooed on the skull as well. He wanted it textbook style with his colors. For me, I wanted a purple 8-point Lotus Flower with 4 lotus buds with a Japanese wave in grayscale. The initial consultation went very well and We were very excited to see what Bronson was going to design. Unfortunately, Tina called & informed us that Bronson was leaving the shop & would be unable to do our tattoos. She recommended Enson do our tattoos instead. We were extremely nervous about the switch. We didn't consult with Enson initially, so we rightfully had our reservations. We looked up his work online & through his portfolio, & it appeared that he did great work. We just didnt know if he could translate our wants into a viable tattoo design. We came in for our scheduled tattoo appointment & met with Enson. He started on my son's design. We talked to him about our wants & about 2 hrs later, he came back with an amazing design incorporating everything my son wanted! From there, we got started! My son's tattoo took about 2.5 hrs from beginning to end. Let me just say that he was super kind and patient. His work was fast & efficient! I guess over 10 years of tattooing helps you become that way! I'll let the photo speak for itself!As for me, Enson talked with me & decided he wanted to draw on me instead. For those who have never got a tattoo before, this is called "free hand."  I het a completely original piece of work translated by Enson. It took him about an hour to come up with the design on my arm! It was purely amazing! I had no idea what he was going to come up with, but it left me speechless! He started on me after finishing up my son and he wanted to do the line work that evening. He finished my line work in about an hour. Unfortunately, we had to schedule me to come back & finish my tattoo. This was good because that line work was super uncomfortable!So, I am here 4 days later to finish up my tattoo. Enson was just so kind and patient with me. When I needed a break, he gave me one. He let me take pictures of the progress as he was working. And moat importantly, he was fast! This session was done in about 1.5 hrs! Again, I'll let the pics do the talking!One last thing I would like to mention is the owner of the shop, Sean McReady. From the moment I stepped into the shop, Sean has been so welcoming! We talked a lot each time I was there and he was just too kind! I am honored to have a tattoo from his shop. This was such a great experience. I was in Hawaii for vacation and on the last day decided to get a tattoo. Doing some research led me to this place. I told them what I was looking for and to my luck they had a tattoo artist, Joshua Flinn, that was in and could do it. Josh and I discussed what I wanted and he went back to his area, drew up a tattoo and came back. It was great and just what i wanted. I went into the back area and the rest is history. Andy K. did such a great job on my tattoo!  We stopped on a whim while on vacation after seeing all the great reviews for this place.  Both hubby and I wanted to get a appointments, but since his was more detailed/involved, they were just too busy to get him in.  Luckily, Andy has time to squeeze me in.We had noticed his book of work when we were browsing. Super clean lines, excellent detail, so I was extra lucky he had time.  Although it was a simple, he didn't mind my searching for just the right font, and making the stencil look just right. I am so thankful that Tattoolicious is in my life.I emailed using the site's form, requesting a consultation. I had a response back immediately from Tina, who would prove herself to be one of the best parts about this place. She was very friendly, personable, and funny-just the kind of face you want your customers to see when they come into your place of business. After my consultation with Enson, where I did an incredibly vague job explaining what I wanted, I was able to book a tattoo for the next week.On the day of my appointment, I waltzed back into the store and Tina greeted me warmly. In Waikiki, that means the world-to be treated like a friend, not just another face with money to burn. She went and got Enson, and I was whisked off to get my tattoo.Enson, someone with whom I had previously exchanged maybe 1000 words, was so wonderful to me. He sketched directly on my skin, which meant I would be getting a 100% unique tattoo, something I am always concerned about.My appointment was scheduled for 4 hours at 5 oclock, and while Enson worked and kept me laughing, other clients came in and had great work done by Andy and left. It wasn't until I checked my phone 6 hours later that I realized what dedication, focus, and talent Enson has for what he does. I have several large pieces from other artists, all of which took place over multiple sessions, but this is by far the most detailed, colorful, all over incredible piece I have, and it was done in one sitting by someone who very obviously loves his work.I love his work too, and I hope I can get all my bits covered by him before I leave Oahu. If I could give them a 10 for customer service I would!! I scheduled an appointment towards the end of my trip in order to avoid sun, sand and water. Tina the receptionist greeted me with a warm smile when I arrived. I completed the paperwork, left a deposit and scheduled my appointment. Fast forward to the day of my appointment which was the same day I was flying out. I arrived and again, was greeted by Tina with a warm smile.She explained to me that my tattoo artist Dan was MIA and she was working hard to get me in with another artist. I was so impressed with her determination to make things right!! I was rescheduled with Enson a half hour later and again, was greeted with warmth and professionalism! 1.5 hours later, I had the most beautiful tattoo imaginable!! When Enson was done he sat and explained aftercare and asked if I had any questions. Bottom line, great tattoo shop with awesome customer service. I'd been wanting a cover up for a while for a bad tattoo done at a tattoo party when I was 21. My husband and I were celebrating our 10-year annniversary in Oahu and decided that a tattoo would be the perfect way to commemorate our trip. I looked up reviews online and found several top-rated shops. We visited one, but didn't get any warm fuzzies. Hit Tattoolicious next. The receptionist wasn't so impressive. She seemed preoccupied with the computer and wasn't real friendly but was polite enough. I felt we had to dig information out of her. I decided I was here for a tattoo, and that I'd base my decision on the artists and the online reviews, not the woman at the counter. We returned later that day, met Andy King, and made an appointment for the next day. When we showed up, he'd drawn a great picture of a hibiscus. From the get go, he was very nice, precise, gentle hand. Everything you'd want. I was thrilled by how little it hurt and even more thrilled with the result of the tattoo. I'd had 2 other small tattoos by different artists back home, and both tattoos had developed deep scabs and ended up looking like crap. I told Andy about this, and he obviously took care because his tattoo healed beautifully! Hardly any peeling, no scabbing whatsoever, bright beautiful colors, and no trace of the old tattoo. Hubby even saw several women point out my tattoo to their guy while out shopping saying they liked it. Everything about the whole experience (receptionist aside) was fabulous! I'd recommend Andy (I believe he's one of the newer artists there) to anyone wanting a tattoo, especially someone who's never had one and is afraid of the pain. He did great! I love the folks here at Tattoolicious, they've accommodated my wishes for body art on each visit. I love the fact that the tattoo artists here have the ability to draw designs directly onto my body not using stencils, therefore my tattoo's are truly unique and no one has one like any of mine. To me that means a lot. Turning my kids into fans as well. While Kristof was working on me, the owner was able to squeeze my girl in for a piercing. No trip to Oahu is complete without a visit to Tattooalicious. If you are into body art, this is the place to visit. The trip to the shop to put down a deposit is kind of an inconvenience but knowing that I'm coming back to the Island on a relatively regular basis, I just leave a deposit on the books and phone for an appointment. I had an amazing experience. I made it to my appointment a minute late but I told them that traffic was so bad. It really was and we had never been to the place before. Mia was able to take my appointment because the girl that was going to do mine was on personal leave. She made it so comfortable. Gave me some pointers so that it would look its best. She drew it up right away and had it done. Its my first tattoo ever and she made it fun. Even my husband who hates needles was able to stand with me the entire time and watch her do the tattoo. t is now 1:55 on the day of my appointment. I would have left in one hour to go to my consult. I just got a phone call canceling because of overbooking. I made this appointment over a week ago. My schedule is very tight because I have a child who is special needs. I was disrespected, insulted and told I was being unreasonable. Of course I am upset and being told ""that's the nature of this business"" does not cut it for me. I am expected to be on time for my appointment, why isn't the same expected of Tattoolicious? I was also told ""well, it's just a consult."" A consult was what was recommended to me by their staff. Couldn't they have called any sooner than two hours before my appointment? I see that they treat their customers with money in hand better than any future clients. I was prepared to come in, talk about my tattoo and make any deposit necessary. I have friends who were planning on getting tattoos from you guys whom I will discourage from seeing Tattoolicious. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Since I don't plan on hearing any kind of apology from them given the attitude of the person I talked to, I will not be giving them a second chance. This could have been handled far better than it was on the part of their staff and to treat me in such a manner is not only rude, it's unacceptable. Insults are not necessary nor is disrespect. I did not insult or degrade or accuse anyone of being ""unreasonable."" I did not yell. I was polite while on the phone with this representative of Tattoolicious. I will not be giving any of my money to such a business nor will I be recommending Tattoolicious to anyone in the future. 2008 was a lousy year. My husband of 20 years passed away suddenly, I lost my job for the first time in my 22 year career in real estate, and I was scammed out of every penny I had and didn't have. It was a tough year, but I survived and now my life has turned around for the better. To commemorate surviving 2008, as a statement about myself and to myself, I decided to get my first tattoo... even though I have a profound fear of needles. After googling local tattoo shops, I came across Tattoolicious and I was impressed by the reviews I read and the artwork on their website. I met with Sean, whose artwork I particularly liked, for my initial consultation and he was more than warm, supportive, and encouraging. At my appointment a couple of weeks later, he went out of his way to ease my fears and he explained everything he was going to do. 3 hours later, I had a gorgeous full color koi fish tattoo with black kanji characters on my right shoulder. Recently, my girlfriend and I vacationed to the beautiful island of O'ahu. During our 9 day stay, we decided that to top off the already fantastic vacation we were having, we agreed that we both wanted to get tattoos. Being complete new-comers to Hawai'i, the only places we really knew about going were that along the main strip of Waikiki Beach. As we were walking along the strip, we came across Electric Tattoo, if I remember the name correctly. If not, it was the tattoo parlor near the Bank of Hawai'i. We walked in and were completely appalled with the service we were encountering--cold, mean. Not the ""Aloha"" spirit we were used to. It was soon thereafter that we came across the Best of O'ahu books, and found a 10% discount for Tattoolicious. We called, found out where it was, and headed on down. As soon as we walked in, we felt an overwhelming wave of friendliness, care, and overall love for the work that they do. The parlor was absolutely stunning with immaculate art work portrayed, showing the true character for what they represented--a tattoo parlor that took their work seriously. Every single person we met there was unlike the stereotypical tattoo artist, and went the extra mile to make you feel comfortable about getting unremovable ink on your body. Sean McCready was our tattoo virtuoso, and also, if I'm correct, the owner of Tattoolicious. The man did such remarkable work with not only our tattoos, but also in his friendly way of speaking. Something as painful as getting needles jabbed into your skin to create art was nothing more than the touch of a child creating a finger painting simply because being tattooed himself, he seemed to understand the pain one must endure to get through such a process, and would keep you talking to take your mind off of the pain, and would stop at any moment and not make you feel like a sissy. I got my first tattoo ever here. The place was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I met with Heather who was FANTASTIC! I knew a general idea of what I wanted and with my consultation with her, she helped tweek the idea into something perfect. On tattoo day, she was so friendly and so understanding about my fear of getting it done. She explained the whole process, what I would feel, what was to happen, etc and she was right on target. She kept up conversation to help keep my mind off of everything and when she was done, I couldn't have been more pleased. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! The price was also the cheapest in Honolulu!!! 11 years ago when in Hawaii I wanted to get a tattoo as a reminder of my trip there and I decided not to get one after all, I always regretted that decision after returning home. Going back there in 2008 I decided that I would not allow the same regret so I set out to find the right place to acquire my Hawaiian souvenir. There were many sites to choose from in Waikiki but there was only one place for me, Tattolicious! Not only was it the cleanest Tattoo place I had ever been to they were very helpful to all of my questions and concerns! I would highly recommend them to everyone looking for a safe clean place to acquire body art! I am very pleased with the overall experience and the finished product that I look forward to returning to them someday for more! HUNT & HUNTINGTON tattoo shop on Kuhioi Ave Waikiki is the worst shop I've been to. I had a tattoo done when I arrived on the island of Oahu and had a small item included in the design which was this exact size...""o"" < < exact size. A few weeks later I decided I didn't want it and I went in to have it colored in. First I was asked IF I LIVE HERE OR NOT...being a snowbird it soon became apparent I received the special TOURIST PRICE because they wanted their minimum of $140.00 dollars to color (one color) the cirlce in. I checked all over town and the highest minimum I could find was $60.00 The artist who did the original tattoo never spoke one word during the process except to mumble a grunt whan asked a question. This lack of customer interaction...the super expensive minimum to fix such a small item and their total lack of concern for customer service appears to be based on the concept of ""Gouge n' wave bye bye to tourists"" Highly recommended to stay away from this place. My two friends and I have lots of ink left to get and it will certainly NOT be at this shop. Read Less

I was in hawaii tattoo shop and this place was awesome. The tattoo waikiki shops were not all the best I've seen until I went to this waikiki tattoo shop. Man, artists were cool at Tattoolicious and the tattoos were awesome. Next time in a tattoo hawaii shop I'm going to Tattoolicious. Also, the hawaii piercing here is great! I got my tounge pierced and it was very clean and basically no pain. Next time I'm in hawaii for a tattoo I'm going to Tattoolicous. Very clean and professional. I highly recommend! Read Less

Before going to Honolulu on business, I checked out the Tattoo licious website and was impressed by Amy's portfolio. They took my appointment by phone and the experience was great. This was my fourth tattoo in as many shops, but this was by far the best work and atmosphere of any of them. Amy is an amazing artist and a great person. She is very knowledgeable and easy to work with while designing the tattoo. The shop is very clean and all of the staff are exceptionally friendly (especially Sean and Jason). Prices are very reasonable too. I cannot recommend Amy and Tattoolicious enough. I would definitely go back again. Read Less

I decided to get a tattoo while recently in Waikiki. I have a couple other small ones, and my friend wanted a small one too, so we visited a couple of shops in the area and did some online researching. I chose Tattoolicious because the shop was open and clean, and it seemed more like a hip salon or spa than like some of the more old-school sailor or biker tattoo places you find in other areas (there is an Aveda salon in the space too). Not that those types of shops are bad, but Tattoolicious' space was more inviting for me. We made our appointments and came back a few days later for the tattoos. My artist, Sean, helped me work out a great design that he drew up for me. He was unfailingly kind, polite, and knowledgeable. If I choose to get another tattoo, I'd go back to Tattoolicious and/or Sean without a second thought. The space was clean, I was comfortable there, and Sean was terrific. Read Less

I recently went on vacation to the island of Oahu and I wanted to get my first tattoo.I did not know what shop would be the safest and make me feel most comfortable.I opened up a Best of Oahu magazine and there was Tattoolicious!!They had a 10% off coupon for tattoos so I decided to check them out.The second I walked in,I was blown away by their beautiful shop and the impeccable sincerity of their employees. The front desk staff answered my every question and the artist that tattooed me,Sean, went over the extensive sterilization process with me and he listened to my every comment I had and he designed my tattoo around my exact directions.When I was finished,I had a beautiful tattoo that was EXACTLY what I always dreamed.I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to get a tattoo in Hawaii and have a positive experience. I got a tattoo at this parlor on March 11th, 2006. When I called for info/appointment the receptionist blew me off. I had to call the next day and talk to someone compitent to get the info I needed. My tattooist was talented and fast, but she didn't draw up something custom for me like I wanted. She also didn't seem to care when I asked her to give me a break. She also told me that I could not have color in my tattoo because it was too small, which I later found out was untrue. I recieved very little information on how to take care of my tattoo. I had to look that information up online. However! I think this was just a fluke, because everyone else seemed great and the place was gorgeous and clean. Overall I'd go back again, I'd just get a different artist. Read Less
