I didn't realize how ugly my tattoo was until I really looked at the details. it's on my back so it's not like I notice it every day. but while looking through my gallery at older pics, I come by pics of a tat that Andre had did on me. the details are horrible and it's a huge regret now. I've gotten two pieces done by Oscar now and I will never go to anyone else again! He's so creative and my ideas for my tattoos are usually a jumbled mess but he always manages to bring them to life in the best way. Its been a long time coming, we all have a bucket list of things we want to have or do as time passes. Time after time, the want became a need.  I was lucky enough this year to have made a friend that could piece that image for me.  As with all artists, it can take a bit of time to put your imagination to paper.   I had given myself a few months to inquire among friend after friend after friend. I wasn't having it. Nothing was clicking for me.  Rock Solid Tattoo, I pass this place 5 days a week, every morning.  One day I visit the parlor.  Immediately was greeted by Andre, ADHD is kicking in, so much questions, what to ask first.  Patiently, he answered all of my questions, but more importantly, when would I like to meet with my artist.  We scheduled an appointment for me to come in and meet with Aren.  The day came when I met Aren, he is just as cool as Andre, answered my questions, showed me meticulous procedures they operate by.  We settled on a date to get inked.The big day came, Aren presented the touch up work on the art that was on paper, all very subtle yet puts out a bold statement.  Were going through the procedures, what to expect, if I needed a break, all of that good stuff.  We settled on the placement, and it was time.  The initial piercing of the skin was not as bad as I expected.  As patient as Aren was during the whole process, I sat there and watched skilled hands put something I only have thought about time after time. When he said, were done, I had taken a glimpse of the finished product, I was more than satisfied with his work.  He told me what to expect, how it will change, what to do, how much more thorough can you be?  Im writing this the day after, sitting in amazement and awe of the work that has been done.   Thanks to Andre for your and recommendation of your apprentice. Wow. This place is owned and operated by Andre and his wife Robin. I initially came in with my sister who's classmate works here, Oscar. We got a couple tattoos done. My husband got a few as well. Andre drew up my husband tattoo, a Fleur-de-lis with Polynesian flare that was freestyles during the tattoo. He loved it so much that we are here now, 2.5 years later getting an addition to it. My husband also loves baseball and got a MLB logo done with a Griffey tribute. Oscar did matching tattoos for me and my sister. Dude is super cool and chill. We love them. Andre is a true artist who was able to bring my ideas to life with my tattoo. The end result was a custom sacred geometry chest piece. I sat well and he was able to finish quite a large and intricate piece in only 2.5 hours. Amazing! It's absolutely beautiful and original and I'm in love with the way it looks. I came across RST on instagram when Oscar was holding a tattoo giveaway. Surprisingly I won, and was surprised yet glad that this place has consultation dates prior to the actual tattoo appointment. So I came to rock solid in search for a person to do my memorial tattoo for my grandmother. I have done a lot of research about my artist Andre before even coming in. I found his work so remarkable. I had to take a lot of pictures of my grandmothers rosary because it's more then 50 years old. But Andre created this awesome piece to fit my forearm ever so perfectly. Rock solid was so welcoming and zen I felt completely at home being in the shop. Everything was clean and separated. I have no complaints :) my tattoo hurt but it was totally worth it. I got up to look at the results of my tattoo and it was do beautiful I started tearing up and remembering how beautiful my grandmother was. I do not wanna go anywhere else for my tattoos anymore.
