Pa'u knows how!!  The absolutely best place to get a beautiful tattoo! We come here every year and they do a great job! Talented and super friendly artists!  My girl Claire had to move away but my friends all got tattoos from the owner and one other guy can't think of their names but crazy talented tattoo artists.  So detailed no matter how big or small how intricate or "plain"...I was all set to get a Lat/Long tattoo but sadly they are closed and we leave tomorrow. Booo!!! I actually heard about these guys from locals so I knew I was in good hands!  You will not be disappointed!! They did tell me not to get ink done within 24 hours of departure...not sure how true that is...and obviously avoid getting your tattoo and going in the ocean. I called earlier today to see if they had time for a walk-in before driving up to the north shore to get sent away. I was actually granted an appointment with Ryan! This was my first tattoo and I sent him the design similar to what I wanted and he had his sketch ready for me to look at by the time I arrived. He was very nice and walked me through the whole process which was nice since I didn't really know anything.  He was very careful about placement and sanitation (which I've seen many other places lack). For my tattoo I payed $160 which is wonderful price for all of measures he took--they only take cash here so my husband went across the street to an atm to grab some so that was no problem at all. The guys at this shop are awesome. I've been going in here for over three years. Tyler has done a full sleeve for me as well as finished my other sleeve, and a full chest piece. I've had friends get tattoos from Ty, Koa, Ryan and Brooks as well. Can vouch for all their work. If you want to have a good experience, be around very approachable guys, listen to interesting stories and music, but most importantly leave with quality work on your body, then go here! Me and my husband got matching tattoos from Ryan. He is a great artist. Really chill and the tattoo came out perfect. It has its own parking lot which is really nice since parking is usually limited on the North Shore. The waiting area is huge and there's a ping pong table. They don't care if you bring kids either, they just have to wait in the lobby and not the tattoo area. The only accept cash but there's an ATM right across the street. There are seriously not enough words to define my experience. Brooks and Ty were intuitive as well as investigative in finding out what we wanted. This was more than having someone's artistic talent placed permanently on my body. It was a history lesson on the island lifestyle,where to explore, what to eat, and how to appreciate culture. Ridiculous. The front desk lady was extremely polite and was definitely helpful. My best friend and I came in and were told that we could get the tattoo right away and that he was just setting up for us. Well three girls came in and the tattoo artist completely ignored us and left us waiting in the lobby for 30 mins while he helped the girl that came in AFTER us. Walked in. Service was nice and welcoming. Both front desk girl and artist were straightforward about pricing so no unwanted costly surprises. The artist name is Ryan and he did an excellent job. It was a simple Ocean wave tattoo but he free handed it nicely and gave me options to have it more bolden or detailed. Kept it simple due to my own personal taste but I'm really happy w it. . My wife and I came in for a couples tattoo session of our initials and Brooks totally hooked us up. We didn't know exactly how we wanted things to go, but he was patience with us and made a few suggestions to help us along the way. We went with Hawaiian initials and Brooks could not have made us happier with the job he did. We are both happy with how they came out. Walked in asked about the wait, there were about three artist working on people. The woman at the front told me to come back in about an hour. I can back about later the tattoo artist I supposed was supposed to do my tattoo told me to fill out a form and I waited another 20-30 minutes before walking out. The staff here are really great guys, however I was disappointed. I was scheduled with one artist and he double booked appointments and pawned me off to another artist. The artist did good work but not exactly what I was hoping for. My wife was supposed to get a tattoo as well and was asked to wait half an hour so the artist could take a break from her last client. No big deal we went to get something to munch on but when we returned all the artists were in a car smoking marijuana. I am corrections officer trained in detecting weed. We could clearly smell it when they opened the door. Needless to say she did not get one. I don't think I could ethically recommend going here. This one goes out to W.T I was waitin on you to be coward after shaking my hand Now here you come with the slander and threatening legal action 1st off your tattoos suck.I was in the process of giving you best tatttoo on your body.I was happy to do this because only 5% of your Polynesian tattoo was legit and I wanted to bring your arm back to life.DESPITE your apprehension when you actually saw who Brooks was I laid down the (initial outline) then proceeded to spray your tattoo with vasocaine spray (a numbing agent) The spray takes 5-10 min.(BECAUSE I CARE) I had some time so I went a had a smoke. Which happens to be cannabis that's totally legal for me to have.Then you tell me the bathroom that you and your family were using overflowed.So I plunged itWashed up and came out to your nonsense.‍You waited for 20-30 minutes at bestBy the wayI've tattooed for years and never ran in to a person a sheltered than you.I had a brain tumor removed and radiation that's why I'm allowed to smoke!My tattoo quality is awesomeMy artwork is far greater than your weak opinion.Have a safe trip back to wherever And thanks for sharing high speed Read Less

Made an appointment with Ty for the day before I left Oahu. Went in for my 1:30 appointment which he had forgotten but the front desk girl texted him and he came in. He explained the situation and I understand life happens. Wanted a Maori tiki, he sketched up something a little different but I trusted his artistic lead. Here's what I'll have on my arm the rest of my life, to be honest not the happiest with the finished product and unfortunately can't just go to the shop and have Ty fix the inconsistencies as I'm on the mainland now. I've seen other examples of Ty's work on here and know he's a good Artist, guess with me it was an off day.Update: every time I looked at Ty's work on my arm I saw another crooked line or inconsistency. Drove me nuts so decided to get it covered-up. Went and saw Big Gus from Tattoo Nightmares and he gave me a piece I truly can be proud of. Read Less

Me and my husband got tattoos here by Steven Brooks. We talked to him months in advance to make apt. He was amazing!!!! He answered my messages quickly and when I showed up he was on time, polite, and quite simply he is cool as hell! Super nice and polite! Brooks was awesome! My family & I came in with 5 tattoos for him. It ended up being Easter & he did 3 of the 5. My dad, brother & myself got matching military dog tags. I cannot say enough good about this place. I went to see Brooks today. He was kind from the moment we walked in. We didn't wait long and the girl at the counter was extremely friendly. The shop itself is incredibly clean and a very warm environment. They greeted everyone within minutes of their arrival and were genuinely interested in giving customers exactly what they envisioned. I got my knuckles tattooed. Brooks asked what I had in mind and made my idea come to life. His lines were clean, he wasn't at all heavy handed, and he was hilarious..making my,time there really well spent. I went all the way back to Oahu to have Nakoa touch up my turtle and had him add Walk by faith. I love Nakoa and Ty, they made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Can't thank these guys enough! My family of 5 (wife's mom, wife's dad, my dad, wifey and me) came in as walk-ins on our last day of vacation.  We all wanted ink!  The folks her were so friendly, patient, accommodating and talented I was blown away.  Special thanks from me to Ty who gave me a great polynesian tattoo.  He took the time to learn more about me and what I was looking for.  I gave him free reign to do whatever he wanted.  I'm glad I did.  He sketched out what he was going to do on me with a sharpie and did the entire thing without a stencil and actually finished the piece freehand.  He explained the meanings of the things he was giving me and we talked at length about Hawaiian and polynesian culture.  It was a great experience.  Mahalo!
