I've been itching for a new tattoo for a long time and I've had this shop bookmarked for a while based off the positive reviews--they're right! I walked in and I was the only one there. 'Doc' was there on the couch with his two, friendly small dogs. He asked what I was looking to do, i said a quote and he asked if I could email him a sample of it. He quickly went to work and sketched out what I gave him. He frequently checked to see if what he was sketching was what I liked. I suggested adding more "flare" and lines to the piece and what he added made it much better than what I pictured. For all the work he put into it, it came out to $160 + tip (duh) Of all the places I've gotten a tattoo, I haven't come across anyone who I felt extremely confident with--especially when it's an artist you just met. For my entire arm, it only took an hour! It went by fast and the work he did was quality, I was very pleased with the outcome and I'd trust him to come back to do another tattoo. He also played a playlist of comedians and it was very entertaining to listen to while getting a tattoo; we were both laughing! As for the shop, it's pretty small. No more than 2 people would probably be in the back getting something done. But it's clean and doesn't smell funky in there. Apparently it's a first come, first serve. So if you come in and somebody else is getting a tattoo, you'll have to wait. Read Less

I really trust and love this place! I brought my older girls when they were young and it was amazing experience. Today I took my youngest (6years old) to get her ears pierced. He was ever so gentle and so good with kids. I don't trust department stores, so unsanitary and the sound of the piercing gun is a scary thing. And very inaccurate done by inexperienced unprofessional people. Why would anyone trust a sales clerk to do something like piercing when it should be done by a trained professional. Got a anti eyebrow piercing done yesterday. I'm guessing he is the piercer or one of them. He was awesome and he didn't take long got pierced fast and painless ! Just a quick poke ! Decided to get my nose pierced here yesterday with one of my friends. Came here because a few years ago I was satisfied with my tongue piercing so I thought why not return? I give this place 5 stars because we got in and was helped right way and for both of us didn't take no longer than 15 minutes and he was clear on how to take care of it. Today I walked in to see if I can get a Daith piercing. It was empty and Jeff just opened the shop. He was very nice and said of course come on back! He made me less nervous! My sister decided after I was done she wanted to get the Tragus last minute, he was very nice and did it for her! Very fast and great service! Thank you Jeff! Sooo i really cant believe i jus did this but i got my belly pierced! The guy who did it was really nice and it was hella fast. Like it literally took like 2 mins. I never thought this day would happen. Man im really glad i did it! My friend is getting her first tattoo too! Like today is sooo exciting for us since we been saying we wanted our piercing and tattoo. This shop is located in aiea by dixie grill off the freeway.  There is a decent amount of parking.  Its a tiny shop. I paid $40 for my piercing and my friend paid $60 for a small cute tattoo. Just had my 9 year old dermal anchor removed from my neck by Geoff. Been having problems with it for a week and it took him 1 quick look to tell me that my body was pushing it out. Went into TNT Tattoo for an industrial piercing. The piercer was nice/friendly but offered very little information including no after care, I signed no consent form or any other procedure paperwork. I had the piercing done, then a week later I went into to get a second piercing at another shop in Waikiki. That piercer informed me that my original piercing was done wrong and needed to be removed immediately. He said that the piercing laid against my ear and would eventually cause my ear to grow around the piercing and potentially cause an abscess and permanent damage. Read Less

So I went to TNT tattoo today and callled ahead of time to make sure that the piercer would still be in. To my surprise, I walked in about an hour before the shop closed and there was only one other person in there. I'm only 15 and came with my mom, and the guy who was piercing my ear, Geoff, took me to the back room. He was very nice and considerate and knew I was nervous about getting my piercing. He gave me time to pick which side to put it on, and got the needle and all the other tools ready in less than a minute. He pierced my nose in less than 30 seconds and told me I was doing good when I started to cry...  and he gave me a tissue for the blood... and my tears. My wife and I were out one night and saw one of the most detailed calligraphy poem tattoos we had ever seen. It was on her back,  but looked like it came right out of the Guttenberg Bible.  She told us Doc "Dave" had inked it 3 years before and she loved his work.  I was taken aback. The lines were perfect; no bleeding. Absolutely beautiful.I've always wanted a tattoo; but I was all talk: at 39,  I'm way late to the inking game.  I liked the idea,  but I had never planned to go through with it until I saw that amazing poem tattoo.  So,  my wife and I started designing a concept I would be OK living with for all eternity. We put together some rough concepts and went to visit Doc.  He took our ideas and asked for some time to come up with a good design.  He had customers, so we left the ideas and headed out with plans to return the following week.  When we came back,  Doc had improved our ideas so much, I was beyond excited. Seriously! He took a half a*!  idea and turned it into my own personal Picasso. What happened next was 2 hours of watching a master tattoo artist bring his/our vision to life.  And! That vision paled my original concept.So,  I'm not sure why someone would go to Doc for the standard off the flip chart tattoo. He is an amazing artist and folks should trust his judgement. My tattoo wasn't easy! Not one curve. All straight lines requiring unbelievable accuracy. Absolutely Amazing!Was the experience worth it? Heck yeah! Can Doc be a pain in the back end? Well, he is an artist and they are all nuts,  but his only crime is being so focused on the customer in front of him that nothing else in the world matters.  Am I going again? No doubt. If you want the best,  TNT did not disappoint. Why get a tattoo with your run of the mill inker when you have a true artist just down the road. Good Times! Read Less

Ok, what most do not understand is that you walked into a tattoo shop, first come, first SERVED.  It is not comparable to a restaurant, retail store, or a cars sales establishment. When an artist is working, he or she should not be disturbed. They are required to concentrate. Its paramount!! The person they are working on is the most important person. Would you like to have your tattoo artist disturbed or even get up to talk to other customers. HELL NO. That's simply unprofessional. Im looking forward to my third tat and knowing that Doc "Dave" will do a perfect job.I think Doc and his folks do an amazing job. They focus on the customer that is in their hands at that moment. Frankly, I don't want them talking to every teeny bopper that walks in and wants the new trendy tattoo. This is not a drive through. These are artists trying to make sure that they are giving their customers what they want.  My husband got a tattoo this past Saturday. It was amazing.  The negative reviews seen to be about bit being catered to the moment they walk in. Amazing!  Too many people want instant gratification. I want perfection. Doc does it.
