I've gone to face it makeup approximately 4ish times, once for powder and then hombre and the other two visits were touch ups that followed after the initial appointments. My very first visit was amazing but my last and FINAL visit was upsetting and disappointing...well this review is long overdue but I felt it nessesary to share my experience regardless of how long ago it may have been because since that last visit, I have had to endure the repercussions of my dissatisfaction!!! My last visit was done by the owner, she was nice, had and has amazing reviews and was most definitely very pleasant and professional...I was confident that she would deliver acceptable results. She drew in my eyebrows and let me see and review the rough "draft", I liked it because it was a replica of how I normally wear my eyebrow makeup...however my end results were so unsatisfying...I was horrified with how she tatted my eyebrows...my arches had dropped and I hated it!!!! It's permanent makeup so what could possibly be done at that moment?!! I was so disappointed and for the longest time I've had to use concealer to cover these ugly low...not even qualified to be called or considered arches!!! I've had to conceal and DRAW in where my natural arches were prior to the damage!! This place is expensive and after that experience I never wanted to come back! People were nice and professional but the outcome was far from what she and I had agreed on before she went to work. For the longest time I was so discouraged...up until recently when I found someone who was able to correct my eyebrow tattoo and at an extremely affordable price! BOOK TODAY!!!!!!!!!  Get your eyebrows and eye liner done from FACE iT!  They do it right and treat you right!  I called and the receptionist that answered she was extremely helpful on all my questions and location.  She answered my question about parking too.  Got myself to get my micro blade eye brows , eye liner  and LOVED everything about it!  Next I want to do my lips!  That's my next stop back into face it!!THANK YOU for a great experience your awesome customer service and superb work!   I will recommend you to my friends, co workers and family. I finally broke down and got my eyebrows done and my lips.  so my eyebrows are amazing. it is great to finally have a good shape like I always wanted and so I know where to pluck.  plus It filled in all the spots that I had over plucked over the years to get the perfect shape.I also had my lips done which was scary. only because I wanted them to be different than what they were. I figured all this was way better than botox or something.  well my eyebrows have healed and could use a touch up (almost 2 x weeks later) but I did get a sore on my lip and I am afraid to say that my lips didn't take to the color as I had hoped.  I can say with hope though, that when I go back in for my 4 weeks touch up and check, I will be in good hands because the ladies there are really sweet and want you to love their wok. This is the first Yelp review I have ever written.  I'm writing this review because the website and prices are misleading, and the girl at the front desk is very condescending and dishonest.  I purchased a voucher from Hawaiideals.com for this procedure several months in advance, and discussed the price over the phone prior to purchasing.  After paying $100 for the voucher I expected to pay only $100 based on the price on the website.  The deal was for $100 towards $200 off an eye lash enhancer procedure.  I opted for a senior technician, who was the owner's daughter, Shannon, at the owner's recommendation.  I will say that I think Shannon did a really good job.  I'm not happy with the result, but she applied the pigmentation symmetrically, and she was very nice and professional.  After the procedure the filipino girl at the front desk said I owed $300, after I already paid $100, and the website said the price was $295.  What??  She was very condescending. She said the prices on the website are wrong, and wrong or right, prices are subject to change at ANY time.  I said even if they are incorrect the price would still be only $200 because the owner said her daughter is not priced as a "master technician." The "new prices" said the procedure was $395, and already paid $200. The girl proceeded to argue with me and tell me the technician was a master technician, after the owner herself told me she wasn't. I don't know if she was lying and pocketing the money, or just completely uniformed.  The girl that did the procedure told her to go ahead charge $200.  She finally said she would accept $200, and she acted like she was doing me a favor, by NOT overcharging me.In the end, I'm not happy with the results.  My eyelashes were coming out with the dead skin, but I know that's not the technician's fault.  If you choose to do business here, my recommendation is to get the price IN WRITING before getting any procedures done.  Don't assume you will be charged the price reflected on the website, which they referred to several times, and don't assume they will mention anything about the website prices being wrong before you sign for the procedure.  Lastly, I really hope the girl at the front desk gets reprimanded for her attitude.  I have not felt bamboozled and talked down to by anyone like that in a very long time.  After having been asked about my procedure and experience with Faceit Salon I told all of my friends to look elsewhere due to my negative experience with the front desk girl and the fact that the prices are inconsistent and outrageous, in my opinion. Edine is my go-to for permanent makeup! I previously had bad experiences with another lady but Edine has been able to correct her mistakes. The first time I tried permanent eyeliner it was soooo painful which is why I was hesitant to get a retouch when it started to fade. But, Edine changed my whole outlook on permanent makeup. What I thought would be another pain-wrenching experience with a needle right next to my eye...actually turned out to be a good experience and I barely felt the needle.  I will gladly and readily go back to Edine any time I need a retouch. She is very skilled and takes her time starting with the consult all the way to the finished product. I did not feel rushed even though there were other customers waiting. As for price, it is on the higher end unfortunately. However, your future retouches are cheaper than the first time application which is good. I absolutely love Edine and have nothing but positive things to say about my recent experience at Face It.  When you first walk into the Face It locations (I've been to both), you get the sense that you're in a clean and sterile environment. I kept thinking, "now, this is legit".  It was unlike my past experiences being tattooed in a part of someone's home. No matter how clean or "legit" it may seem, you're still being tattooed in an extension of someone's living room. Not only is Edine amazingly talented, she's also very knowledgeable about her craft.  She took the time to educate me about the "color theory" and why my brows had turned red and what she was going to do to correct them.  The procedure was short and sweet! It only took about an hour to finish both my brows and eyeliner and didn't hurt at all.  Everyone's pain tolerance level is different so I can't guarantee that everyone will have the same experience as me, but I know that in the past, there were times where I was tattooed by different artists and was in pain (especially the eyeliner part). Her numbing cream really is the best quality.  I know this because during that hour, we spent time talking story about how she first got into tattooing and how her numbing cream was developed as well as about her three kids! I feel like we are kindred spirits and will definitely go back to her the next time I need a refreshing (probably after I have my next child). I'm now healing from my touch up session and all the red is gone! Yay!!  Thank you Edine for working wonders on me! My entire experience at Face It Permanent Makeup is a true testament to the saying "you get what you pay for". Although some may consider Edine's work at the top range of what artists usually charge, keep in mind that her knowledge, training, and experience are unmatched by none. Also, keep in mind that her first touch up within six weeks is free. While other artists may charge a cheaper premium, you'll most likely have to pay for that first touch up and every one there after.  If you add the fact that your first touch up with Edine is free, you're actually not paying that much more with her than you would with other artists.  If you want a safe, sterile, warm, and personal permanent makeup experience, go see Edine at Face it! I went to Face It about 3 times to have my eyebrows and eyeliner tattooed. They are extremely professional, very clean and knowledgeable. I went back two more times to have my eyebrows/eyeliner retouched because it fades over time. I only rate it four stars though because for some reason the ink never really stays on my skin. I mean it's there but not really noticeable like like it should be. When I go out, I still have to wear additional makeup on my eyebrows and eyeliner to get the look that I want. I was on the ultimate quest for a no-smear liner & let's face it, no product can live up to that. This led me to conduct extensive Googling on the pros & cons of cosmetic tattoos. With none other than trusty Yelp, I found Face It Permanent Make Up Center & I made an appointment with Edine for the top eyeliner tattoo procedure.Prior to the procedure, there was a thorough consultation about how I wanted my liner, the procedure process & any questions that I had. Edine was a sociable person & seemed knowledgeable about cosmetic tattooing. Afterwards, I was lying down with my eyes closed. Edine smothered numbing cream on my lids & waited about five minutes for the numbing to take effect. I had a strong urge to open my eyes, but Edine reassured my she had a death grip on it. The feeling? Just a bunch of ticklish prickles on the skin of my eyeballs. No biggie.After the procedure, Edine put an ice pack over my eyes for 10 minutes & had her assistant go over aftercare procedures. The swelling went away after two days & I was ecstatic about waking up with makeup, but I wanted the eyeliner thicker. Eight months later, I'm back under the needle. The liner came out way thicker than I wanted with uneven, rounded ends, which Edine said was due to swelling. I instantly regretted the tattoo, especially since I still have to draw the ends out to make it even which makes the liner look more thicker. With a college student budget, I wasn't willing to pay the full retouch price to get it fixed, but I'm not sure how you can make it thinner without laser removal. I LOVE my results!  I recently had my eyebrows done my Edine and I couldn't be happier!  Lala was the first person I spoke to when making my initial appointment for my consultation.  She answered all of my questions, booked my appointment in a professional and timely manner and through it all she was funny and a delight to talk to.  Upon my arrival I have to admit I was nervous!  However, after speaking to Edine, I became excited and I couldn't wait to have the procedure done!  Edine is AMAZING!!  She explains the process in great detail and she has this passion for what she does.  Her work is a reflection of that and the results are unreal!!  The numbing cream they use is the bomb and I felt NO PAIN!!!  I also had no downtime and my results are fabulous!  I don't know why I waited so long to do this!!Thank you Face It Permanent Make Up Center for your expertise!!  I am truly grateful!! Upon having two separate phone conversations with this company and being quoted a price of  "between 500. and 1000." for the procedures I'd inquired about, I have the following to say: I'm sorry but I don't appreciate the fact that a company cannot book clients for even a consult for a month and a half.  I wanted cosmetic eyeliner and brows done for my birthday which was in  a few days but was willing to wait up to a month for a consult. I also do not appreciate a company using their "lack of appointment availability" as a representation of how good they are at the services they perform because their lack of staffing is not and should not be used as a marketing ploy.  I was actually told:  "there is a waiting list until January for a consultation; she's THAT good".  Um...... read on.I'd found another EXCELLENT artist for micropigmentation on yelp.  The reviews were all 5 stars and the price WAS definitely the best in town.  I had the consultation and procedure within a week and a half.  The result of my eyeliner (top and bottom) AND brows were wonderful, precise and the service was performed with very much care and attention to detail.  Additionally, I will have 1-2 touch ups 6 weeks apart (to allow for healing and color settling) for the price I paid which was far less than expected compared to this place.  I am by no means saying that this place does not perform quality work, nor am I saying that they are not customer service oriented.  What I am saying is that I'm not easily deceived and that I believe that there is more to it than meets the eye. I would like to note that while trying to be fair... we should be aware and be allowed to base our decisions on information provided from various perspectives.   I just noticed the 'not currently recommended'  reviews for this business on YELP which helped me to better reinforce my first impression. I have been here 3-4 times for tattoo removal and today for brows.  Edine is great! She fixed a mess that another person made of my eyebrows.  She is very personable and knowledgeable.
