I went in to get my nose pierced and Candi was so wonderful. She was so kind, friendly, and easy going. She made me feel relaxed and very comfortable. I saw a couple of these sistas reviews on here and I swear we never want to lift one another up. Candi has done all my work, piercings and tattoos. Candi has built her own business while continuing to put out good work on people. If you read the comments you can see the person felt some kind of way, Candi doesn’t play or entertain the boosie ways of other shops and she is always her own person. Me and my bestfriend got matching tattoos and they look terrible we were told to keep them moist and thats exatcly what we have been doing ! You can tell that the artist Candi went WAYYYY to deep in our skin our tats look as if they are scabs 😔 ... im very hurt amd disappointed with the out come of this tattoo . I am from philadelphia and i have no way in getting intouch with Candi the fact that i trusted hsr with my skin and got a terrible experience out of it is really sad 😐 i see me and my best friend arent the only one who experienced this issue .. I went there to get my ears re-pierced and jewelry for my nose. There wasn't many up-to-date options on the jewelry for the ear or nose and the available options were cheap but overpriced "$20 for 2 barbell earrings, and $20 for a screw in nose ring which was defective so it fell out the next day and wouldn't screw back on". Getting my ear re-pierced was normal price "$40 for 2 with barbells included". But by no means is my review a complaint it's just a honest review. This is a VERY clean, Friendly, and sanitary place. I encourage you to check notw IG before going to get tatooed. I attempted to converse with notw this evening on IG. After ending the conversation I noticed a few of my comments had been deleted to fit their narrative. I'm not even surprised but what's the reason to delete if you're being honest. Y'all go give them some tattoo business because piercings won't pay the bills. I heard they were Christian people but they are very condescending & they make fun of customers & potential customers. God forbid you're new to large tattoos & ask them for a little reassurance during your tattoos healing process. They'll call you entitled for asking, make posts about you on social media & go back & delete comments that they have made. Unprofessional much? Wonderful shop with an even more wonderful owner! I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed in Candi's work. She's done 9 out of 10 of my tattoos, I don't trust anyone else! The shop is always clean and the prices are very fair. Either Candi or her husband Brian will always answer emails within a very decent amount of time. Gave them one star ONLY because the lady who did the piercing was real chill. My friend and I went here 7/15/17..... We drove over an hour to come here with the possibility of not being able to receive service because we tried to call ahead of time but they don't take phone calls at all, not even for inquiries (we wanted to know if they had a female piercer, super simple ). When we got there I went first, I was getting my nipples redone and wanted her to pierce them in the exact same spot as I had them done before. She marked them but didn't use clamps so the side she went in on is in the same spot as the previous one but when the needle came out on the other side it is TOTALLY OFF. Before piercing me she didn't even make sure the bar she was putting in was long enough to give me room for swelling, and guess what? THEY ARE NOT LONG ENOUGH!!!!!!! They're so tight I can't even slide them side to side to clean them because there is no space between my nipples and the balls which makes them bleed. You can't use standard jewelry for all of your customers because everyone is not the same. Now I have to pay more money (as if $75 wasn't enough) and be even more uncomfortable to have someone take these out and put longer ones in. The ink used to mark our skin stained my friends bra ( I wore a black one, thank God). There was also a young girl at the front counter who had no customer service skills, act like we were getting on her nerves and didn't know the answers to our questions. They had a sign that said "Jewelry Sale $1 - $5" but when I asked her for a barbell for my tongue she said she didn't know the price, went in the back to ask someone and came back and said "She said she'd give it to you for $7" I asked her why the sign said something different and she said she didn't know....... I just went in their yesterday to get my very first tattoo and let me tell you Candi did a wonderful job. She even added a little more spice than the original. My tattoo is beautiful and I love it, the place was very clean and she had such a wonderful personality. I got my earlobe done today and the young lady that did my earlobes was really nice. My experience at this tattoo and piercing parlor was excellent. The shop is clean and i felt comfortable. Was in Atlanta for the weekend and I decided to get my first tattoo. A small cross and heart. Pretty simple, even when I told her I what I wanted she said it would only take like 5 mins. So I go back to get it done and of course she draws it on. I opted to not get the heart filled in. Since it was my first tattoo I was looking away the whole time. After she was done she wrapped it and I was in my way to pay. It was $65 which I thought was pretty high given how simple and small they were. But I paid it and went about my way happy with my new tattoos. Then I took the bandage off and realized first of all the cross was much bigger than I originally wanted it and the heart is uneven. It looks so bad half of it is exactly how it was drawn but the other half of the heart is so much bigger and the peak is a lot higher. You can spot from a mile away that it's uneven. It looks so unprofessionally done. Now I'm waiting for it to heal so I can go to a local shop and pay to have it fixed. I will probably end up having to get it filled in which I did not want. As a gift to myself for my 46 birthday I decided to get my first tattoo. My cousin stays in Stone Mountain, Georgia and I just typed in tattoos and Not Of This World Tattoo and Piercing came up. I'm visiting from Los Angeles and heard Atlanta is best for tattoos. The reviews were great about Candi and for a first timer that's important. To my surprise, the reviews was absolutely correct. I should have posted my review earlier. I got my tattoo back in September. I researched places and saw the reviews and the award. From the pictures online, the shop looked very clean and organized. I was excited because my friend and I had been discussing for months about getting tattoos. We finally chose our date and headed out. On arrival, I was so impressed with everything I saw. Candi, the artist, was extremely professional and had a great sense of humor. She definitely had an easy-going nature. We explained to and showed her what we were looking for. She told us to wait a few minutes while she drew up the concept and when she was done, the work was recognizable but she had altered it just enough that it wasn't exactly the same as someone else's tattoo. I really appreciated that.My friend had hers done first. And it was her first tattoo, in honor of her father. Candi and I helped to comfort her. We laughed and tried to get her mind off of things. Candi was still focused on her work. Excellent. After that short time, I was next. While my friend's tattoo is on her wrist, my tattoo would be on my shoulder. My first tattoo was on my wrist and I don't remember it being painful. It was years ago. So, when Candi started on my shoulder, I stayed so still and quiet. It wasn't pleasant, but I expected that. Candi has a steady hand so the pressure didn't change wherever the design went.It was such a great experience overall. I highly recommend Not of This World. I went back a few weeks later because I thought it had looked odd and I thought I found pus (gross - I know). I'm not really an expert on tattoo healing (my first is small and healed very fast; and this has color in it), and I was so worried about taking care of it. Candi and her husband were both there to look at it and they eased my mind. I felt silly, but they were both kind and said it looked normal. Now, it looks great! When I first walked in I was welcomed with kindness and noticed how nicely the place was decorated. I have had the privilege of getting work done by both Danae and Candi on a few occasions. The biggest difference with this shop as compared to others are several things but let me list a few for example. It's a family atmosphere, they are all strong in their Faith and you will see the husbands, dad , mom as well as the children in there from time to time. Both artist will give you a custom piece, even if you like something that has been done before on someone or a piece of flash off the wall they will add their own personal touch so you actually have a unique piece. I have had a few tattoos as well as piercings in the studio and can also tell you they both are very informative as to the health aspect of body art. Most people fail to realize the skin is your largest organ. Which brings me to the next part, price! They have very fair prices especially when looking at the grade of quality work you will receive. When it comes to tattoos you get what you pay for, with over 14 years of experience on multiple shades of skin Candi and Danae can insure what will stay in your skin the best. This might sound funny but you wouldn't go to the cheapest doctor so don't go for the cheapest tattoo artist. I promise you once you come in you will want to be back for more.
