Got my septum pierced in August 2017 and it healed great. Changed it a month after I got it and it was no problem. It did get infected for like a week, but that was my fault for the type of ring I put in it. Then, yesterday I got my nostril pierced. Both piercings were done by Meg. Went to Ivory Tower last night to see about getting my Belly Button pierced. We walked in, two people were sitting on the couch, two were at one of the bars looking at their phones. Someone was in the room on the left with the door open, getting a tattoo. Other 2 doors were closed. We stood there a few minutes....the girl getting the tattoo in the room on the left told her friend to tell her other friends to sit at one of the bars instead of the couch so they could see her. We stood and stood..the couple sat at the bar, stood and looked at tattoos, talked to their friend and the friend getting tattoo..as we stood and stood....my fiance and I looked at each other and I said "let's just go shopping at Walmart"....so,we left. Expect to do a lot of sitting around and waiting while the "artists" bask in their own self importance. If your lucky you might even get a lecture about, "not rushing art" while the owner angrily issues you a refund. Take your money to Got Ink. They have better prices and the staff will treat you like an actual customer.Read Less

I went to ivory tower two separate times, and each time the staff was extremely rude. The first time I went in with a sketch that I had drawn up MYSELF. The man (never told me his name) said that he could do my tattoo in two weeks, I asked if he needed to keep my sketch and he said no that he could find it ONLINE. I did not get my tattoo done here I went somewhere else, paid a fraction of the price, and Ive received more compliments on it than I can count. But yesterday I decided to stop by again, big mistake. I walked it and stood at the counter for 5 minutes while two employees sat and stared at me while having a conversation never acknowledging that I was in the shop. I asked if it was possible to make an appointment for a tattoo but she didn't answer my question (never said yes or no were booked and tried to find an open date) she just told me that there were other shops. Why they are so rude to someone who is potentially going to shell out hundreds of dollars? I don't know but I do know that I will never be going here again. Read Less

Greeted as soon as I walked into the door by the owner. Very down to earth and very friendly. I could tell the shop was very clean looking and they knew what they were doing. Speaking with the owner directly, I explained what I wanted and he helped me complete my idea. After discussion of price & shop minimum etc. It took some convincing, but I went ahead and paid before hand and booked my spot. (*See Next Paragraph*)*Booking before hand is something I DO NOT like doing due to the fact I want it done right and correctly before I let my money walk out my hand*While speaking with owner it was brought to my attention, that if I didn't pay in advance for the tattoo that if someone came in before me & they payed for their tattoo/piercing in advance they would go before me and that I should come back in a hour-hour&half.-he said there's always a wait time and if I wanted to get in sooner this was the way to go.-Sooo. Needless to say I went ahead and payed and he took my phone number down & said they would call when their ready. About two hours later I revived a phone call from one of the tattoo artist and he told me to come now. When I arrived back to the shop/studio I was expecting him to have everything ready and to go ahead and start setting the machine up. Oh, but I was wrong. He hadn't even begun to start to draw it...Matter of fact, he didn't draw not one single bit of it. It was all done my computer/printer/scanner machine things. I was a little disappointed about that. Tattooing is an art, it's a skill! I was even more disappointed when he caught a small attitude when I asked him (nicely) more than once to please size it down because it was too big for the area it was going to be tattooed on. **I'm very very particular & not to mention it is going to be on me forever so I want it exactly how I want it**After him running in and out of the tattoo room he had it in the correct size I liked, correct font & placed it in the correct spot. Finally, it was exactly how I wanted. He didn't shave the arm(where tattoo was placed) or really actually prep me at alll though. The BIGGEST problem was the fact that he was in a rush it seemed like to finish it. That's what made me rate it three stars.You have to make sure your customers are happy before anything else. Prices are semi expensive but it's very decent quality for the price.- All I have to say is Please please Take your time. Got my first tattoo here and had a great experience. It was a memorial piece for my wife who passed away from breast cancer. Was welcomed and treated like family from the time I walked in the door. Every piece of work that I had done there STILL looks great after many years. I read comments on the staff....but....I go to places for the quality of work. Who knows what may have been going on for that staff member that day. Many clients of theirs already have scheduled appointments, so, you may not have been the only one in the shop. The owner, Ross, is a great guy. He is quiet, but he is an amazing artist. I would rather get a quality tattoo vs having my ass kissed in order to get my business for what would probably be a sub-par job. Read Less

Went to Ivory Tower for my second tattoo and I am in LOVE! The shop was VERY clean and welcoming. Upon arrival (I just walked in), I was immediately greeted by the owner, and explained my vision to him. Within thirty minutes Taylor, one of the tattoo artists, had my design drawn and ready. I've gotten 2 piercings from Ivory Tower since I moved to Statesboro and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I have a habit of passing out often when I get nervous and the piercer (Meg I think? I'm sorry if I'm wrong!) always makes me feel so comfortable and is really good at what she does!
