I cannot say enough positive things about this shop and Peter. I came down here from Virginia Beach for work with the idea of just getting one piece done. I was very lucky Peter said he could fit me and a couple other guys in while in town. The piece came out amazing...to be honest better than we could ever have imagined it from a drawing we provided him. I liked him so much I set up a second session for some more work, and will be getting a third session down before leaving.The price is beyond reasonable, if anything I felt like he wasn't charging enough for the quality of work he provides as an artist. Amazing experience. No where else was taking walk ins. Called and the owner Peter said to come right in and he would draw something up. He was easy to work with and collaborated with me to draw up EXACTLY what I wanted. Both me and my wife got what we wanted drawn up and he got to work. First - don't call the number listed because the mailbox is full and no one responds to emails. Secondly - the artist that did my tattoo had no personality. Third - the artist didn't want to do a rib tattoo because "the skin is to difficult to work with" nor touch up a finger tattoo "we try to talk people out of those because they fade and doesn't take ink well". Fourth - when I asked how much he told me $120. I handed him $150- never did he offer to give back change. He put the money in his drawer and said he was outta there. I would have gladly given him a tip but it wouldn't have been $30. I am pleased with the tattoo and line work but the experience was lacking. Read Less

I truly can't say enough great things about Peter and Savannah Ink Tattoo as a whole! My husband and I had been thinking about getting tattoos for a little over a year, going back and forth with what each of us wanted. Peter listened to what we wanted and designed each of our tattoos from our original ideas. Both of our tattoos turned out more unique and better than we ever anticipated! For both, my husband and I, this was our first tattoo and Peter was very attentive to our concerns, anxiety, etc. having never gone through the process before. The whole space is very clean and makes you feel very welcome from the second you walk in. At first I was nervous, but Peter's welcoming and warm disposition instantly put myself at ease. He truly is a people person and will make you comfortable from start to finish. I had an appointment with Schuyler to do my first ever tattoo, a small quote on my ribs and he did an amazing job. I was extremely nervous but he had a phenomenal upbeat attitude and it was an amazing experience. There isn't much to say about Savannah ink that people don't already know. This is shop is as good as it gets. I travel from St. Louis, MO just to get tattooed here by Peter. He is the owner, and an all around great guy. The other artist are fantastic as well. There is a parking garage right next to the shop which is really convenient. It is literally a three minute walk to the shop. The prices are reasonable and the work is top notch. If you live in the area, please check them out. If you live quite a distance away and are looking to get tattooed, Savannah is the perfect place for a road trip. I would recommend this parlor to anyone. My partner wanted to get a tattoo for me on our vacation so he looked at several places on Yelp before we checked this one out. He was impressed with the photos and wanted to find a wheelchair-accessible place so I could sit with him as it was his first tat. We popped in and the owner and his artist, Peter, squeezed him in for the following day. We showed up and he had the artwork ready, adjusted it a little, and got to work. This review is way overdo, but better later than never! I got my tattoo done back in February. I was visiting Savannah all the way from CA, so I had to set up my appointment over email without being able to visit & check the place out. I was a little nervous at first since I wasn't able to check the place out, but I'm so that I went through with it because Peter is an amazing artist! My tattoo turned out beautiful and better than I ever imagined it in my mind. His shop is very clean with separate rooms for each artist.  He also gave my boyfriend and I must go places in Savannah, I really appreciated that! I knew I was going to be in Savannah and wanted a good tattoo from someone other than my usual artist. I found Peter on Instagram and I was very impressed by his work. I contacted him via email and he responded within a couple hours and scheduled me for the day I was going to have some free time. When I got there, I told him what I wanted and he drew it out, set up his machines and got to work. Even though the location I chose was in a tender spot, he really didn't hurt me that bad (bonus) and he worked quickly. He also uses high-quality inks and needles. The bottom line is, Peter has a very high level of skill. His line work is impeccable and technically perfect. His grays and whites really snap and his watercolor splatter technique is amazing. I've been getting tattooed for 16 years and I have full sleeves so I know a thing or two about tattooing and in my opinion, Peter's work is extremely high-quality. I just turned forty and decided to get the tattoo I always wanted. I live in Jacksonville, Florida, so I was looking for a tattoo studio in my city. I went to a place that was recommended to me and was completely unimpressed. My family and I went to Savannah for a long weekend and that is when I found Savannah Ink. I immediately loved to studio. It was so nice and clean. When I met Peter for the first time he couldn't have been nicer. We talked for a few minutes and I made an appointment for the next day to come in and discuss the design I wanted.When I went in the next day Peter really listened to what I wanted and gave me suggestion on his design. Within an hour after after I left Peter's studio he sent me the design he came up with, via text. The next day I went in and got my tattoo.
