Beautiful studio located downtown. Very clean. The tattoo artists here are very busy because they do quality work. Expect to book your appointment 1-2 months out. They will be very honest with you if they don’t think their style is a match for the style of work you’re looking for. Mareva is amazing and does beautiful feminine style work, but is capable of much more than just that genre. Got my first tattoo here and am very happy with the work. I had a blast getting my tattoo done yesterday! the whole staff is so friendly! I gave Ben Kelly an idea of what I wanted ( A sea horse/T-Rex hybrid) and without questioning my sanity drew it up and went to work. It came out better than I could of hoped. To say I would recommend this tattoo shop to anyone just isn't enough. Every bone. in. my. body. recommends this place. I researched pretty much every tattoo artist's portfolio in Savannah before deciding on Ben Kelly at Red Ocean (It's always a bit risky handing your body over to a stranger and letting them permanently ink something super-special onto your skin forever-and-ever) I was blown away when I saw my finished tattoo......The quality of tattoos and customer service this business is putting out is by far the best in Savannah. I will be back and I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone that's looking to get inked. Not only on a basis of his art, but his personality, knowledge & honesty. From the initial consultation, to art check, during the application, wrapping up & after care. I could not imagine a better experience or more personable education. Everyone was very friendly & communicative. Ben kept me talking through the entire tattooing process & really helped take my mind off of the 3 hours under the needle. I went in for a consultation before Christmas and spoke with Ben Kelly. I told him what I was looking to get done and that it needed to be a coverup from an old tattoo. Ben took my ideas and spun them into something I couldn't have imagined. He is truly an excellent artist. The art work is amazing.
