Admittedly, we were late. However, the fine folks of KHT were understanding and generous with their time. They didn't give us flack or tell us to reschedule. Excellent! My tattoo was simple, and just what I wanted. My wife had a bit of a different experience. She had a bit of a Bob Ross moment. Our tattoos contained the coordinates of Savannah. It's where we met, married and had our babies. It's kinda a big deal to us. Her tattoo had to go through a couple of redraws. My wife and her friend pointed out a few things the artist forgot. The artist redrew it with the missing pieces. Unfortunately even with the correction the artist still managed to forget to tattoo the original missed element and made a new mistake. I honestly can't tell if the number got changed on paper and didn't get checked out or he just flubbed the number himself. We didn't catch it until we had left. Fortunately the New coordinate placed my wife in the Savannah River contributing to her narrative of actually being a mermaid. It's a fun story, but it goes to teach an important lesson. Be like Santa, check everything at least twice. All in all, we would go back, the owner is great, the manager was phenomenal and ultimately we got almost everything exactly like we wanted. Had such a bad experience, really REALLY disappointing. I read a lot of really good reviews online and from word of mouth about this place and was really excited. The only reason I went to the second appointment was because I had already put down a deposit and was out $100. And I say *second* because after waiting over an hour for my initial appointment to start, I found out that nothing had been drawn up and that virtually nothing had been done on my tattoos, so I had to leave empty-handed for a shift at my job that night. Tattoos did not come out at all how I initially wanted. I sent a bunch of reference pictures and colors, and while I somewhat like they way my tattoos turned out, I guess I can only blame myself for not saying "This doesn't look like what I sent you, please don't put that on my body." In the end, I didn't even get them both finished because I was so upset about how wrong they looked. The green that's now on my chest forever looks like puke and after thinking that the pink and purple on my chest would soon fade into less obnoxious hues, I've now come to accept that they're probably going to look like that forever or until I go get them fixed. To end on a high note, most of the staff was really nice, and the tattoos did heal nicely. Very interesting atmosphere. Read Less

This shop came highly recommended by a fellow shop in the business. They were all super friendly and knowledgeable. I had an existing tat on my foot that needed much attention and my artist had several suggestions to enhance and improve it's appearance. He drew the suggestions on to show me and was very professional and exceptional at delivering what he suggested. I couldn't be happier! Read Less

Came in with an idea, and tattooer Chris Norrell gave us an amazing experience. From start to finish, we were incredibly impressed. Tugboat (at the front desk) was super friendly and helpful, and tattooer Ash was honest and creative in helping develop other ideas.
