My husband and I went to Ghost Town Tattoo this past Saturday. My husband had Jason as his artist. Jason is very talented and was able to put my husbands idea for a tattoo on paper and then bring it to life on skin. His attention to detail, crisp lines and creative shading made for a superb tattoo. Andy was my artist. I showed him photos of the font I wanted along with the verse. He put a lot of effort into creating a very special tattoo for me. When it was finished I almost cried. It's so elegant and classy. The crispness of the lettering and the vibrant colors are breathtaking. We already have plans to visit them again this month. I was visiting Savannah and looking to get my first tattoo. I was referred to this shop and they got me in that afternoon. The shop looks like a very typical tattoo shop, their work looks great, and the artists are super personable. Brian was gentle, very reassuring, and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I've never seen a bad piece walk out of this shop. I've had a few tattoos done here, and by now I completely trust these guys to take any idea I show them and run with it. I've shown Corey a few different pictures, and given him a few ideas on how I want the design changed. Within a day or two he draws something up that is way better than I imagined. Chase is awesome too. He's got a really cool style, and I love how he blends color. I haven't had anything done by Jason or Brian, but I've seen them do some killer work while I've been in the shop. Chase did my rib tattoo and it's just not what I expected and described that I wanted. Don't get me wrong, it's good work but just not what I wanted. I went in there to give them another chance, I didn't really want to see Chase but of course that's who I got. I wanted to get a realistic human jaw around my knee, I was super stoked. I went in and SHOWED him a picture of what I wanted. I told him I wanted it just as the photo. He was super nonchalant about it and said that it'd be easy and that he has it. I went in there the next day to get it done and it was NOTHING as I described. Way too grungy and manly compared to the photo I showed him. Walked in to randomly get a tattoo while on vacation. We waited maybe 15 mins and they were able to get both me and my fiance right in with artist Corey. We both got matching ghost tattoo's on our arm and LOVE them. Corey did a GREAT job and understood exactly what we were wanting. His line work is solid. I have followed Brian (owner) for the last 7 years. The moment I met him he took my corny google image and made it unique and beautiful. He has always been accommodating, personable, and funny. His shop is clean, friendly, and efficient at what they do. I always have people asking where I get my tattoos done at because they are so detailed, beautiful and badass and I tell them Ghost Town! Funny! There was another review from this past Saturday, June 13.  COMPLETELY agree with Christian J.'s review. We went in there Saturday morning as well... We Must have seen the same guy because he was VERY discouraging and pretty rude.  I decided we should all go to Ghost Town because I went this past fall and had a pretty good experience- But Saturday, we basically shot down all of our ideas without adding any kind of solutions to what could work.  We all wanted just something to honor our passed grandmother or brother/ son.  Guy was completely not helpful.  Acted like we were wasting his time. SHADY BUSINESS!!! I walk in on a Saturday morning, looking to get a very small tattoo. I told them that I just want a little 4 letter word on one of my fingers. They say, "Fine." The owner starts setting up. As I am signing the standard agreement I notice there is no pre agreed price on it. I don't sign it, and I ask one of the employees how much it was going to cost me. He goes and asks the owner and he says the shop minimum of $50. For those of you who are missing the point here, they were just going to let me sit down, get the very small tattoo then tell me it's the minimum ($50) AFTER it was all said and done. No one spoke up and even hinted at this. They also seemed like it was a hassle for me to walk in and ask. They're pushy, rude, and look down on anyone who isn't A: covered in tattoos or B: a super-hot chick. DO NOT RECOMMEND. They have NO CLUE as to what basic business ethics are. I understand they have a minimum. Lots of places do, but they were going to take me for my money and they've lost my respect and any future business. Read Less

so I went to ghost town tattoos after reading these reviews and here is what it comes down to, the guy who did my design turned out to be the owner and while he was busy he made time to acknowledge me,  he made a great design and even worked something in at the last minute. this was a double cover up and it turned out great. when I showed my friends their jaws hit the ground because a tattoo they thought would have taken 8 hours was done in 3.5 and it looks great not to mention it cost hundreds lessees than every thought it did.  this is most definitely a tattoo studio you will be happy with. This was the third parlor I checked out after a friend's recommendation when I was looking into getting my first tattoo and I could not be happier. Some of the other places were intimidating and gave me attitudes as if I was doing them a favor (looking at you California Tattoo Co.) but I love Ghost Town.I was helped by Chuck the first time I came in and he (like all the other guys) is professional, friendly, and incredibly talented. He's worked with me on both of my tattoos, always double-checked to make sure we were on the same page, and has patiently answered any and all of my questions.The shop is clean and the prices are great for the quality of work.Check it out! These guys are super talented, without the elitist attitudes.  The shop is small without being cramped, and is very clean. I went in to see Dave about getting my grandmother's name and her favorite flower, a violet, on my forearm. That was all the direction I gave him, and I would up with a tattoo that I love and I think my Granny would have liked herself. Ghost Town tattoo offers quality custom tattooing in historic downtown Savannah. They opened in 2008 and have always had great artists working there. It is evident that everyone working at this place has a passion for what they do. If they're not tattooing, its likely they will be painting, drawing or keeping the place as clean as can be.
