I stumbled across Rolling Stone on MLK Jr. Day b/c one of my cartilage piercings fell out and I couldn't get it back in. For me, that was a work day, so I had to find a place after work, mind you, I didn't take into account that a lot of tattoo shops would either be closed or closing early. Since I was in desperate need, I googled tat shops near me and Rolling Stone popped up. When I got there, they were about to close and Sam was literally the only person in there. He was doing his books for the evening, but asked what I needed to have done. I told him what I needed and he was more than happy to do it. He was so sweet, thorough, and extremely professional. He told me a little about his history of being in this business and of course I mentioned I wanted another tattoo...needless to say, I ended up back over there 5 days later and got a tattoo done by him! I had a cartilage piercing done here, and after about three weeks my ear starting swelling up until there was no space on the shaft of the earrings. I went to a tatto and piercing shop in Florida where I was visiting and the woman informed me that not only were studs only supposed to be used in completely healed piercings, the ones they had actually used were meant for mouth piercings! On top of the jewelry that was not right for the piercing type, there was even one ball misthreaded. I had to have pus squeezed out of an infected wound and a clamp pushed into my skin to try and get this earring out before it became a case for the ER. I paid $70 dollars to get an infection. I do not recommend coming here EVER. Edit: after seeing the response from the owner I believe that says a lot about the shop. The owner responded in an aggressive and unprofessional way rather than trying to address the issue. Terrible customer service!! I never said I went swimming in the ocean, that was assumed. You still didn't address the incorrect jewelry which was the result of the infection, as the incorrect flat back that was used harbors bacteria. Rolling stone has done my nose piercing before and I had no problem! Wanted to go back and get my septum done and it's 9:53 PM and I pull up and they're closed when they're supposed to be open until 11 PM according to their website. I understand this type of business is based on appointment only, but I didn't think I needed to make an appointment for a piercing... and I've never heard of a shop that didn't take WALK-INS... they are also extremely hard to get in contact with and their magic jack number is always down. I am willing to take this review down if someone from the tattoo shop gets in contact with me because I still want my septum, but the lack of professionalism is a turn off and not a good way to do business at all what so ever. Also... I had my friend drive an hour to meet me just for you guys to decide you want to close early. How professional? Not. I gave them two stars because I've never had trouble with my nose piercing healing or anything. Google is not letting me upload the image of them being closed, but I do have one. I live out of state and I scheduled an appointment with Rolling Stone while I was in town visiting and the service I received was horrible. I was on time for my appointment but the artist was not there. The other artist that was in the shop was very unprofessional and did not seem to care that I was waiting on Sam. After waiting for about 15 minutes I asked the artist in the shop if he had availability to assist me and he said no. I understand that, however he did not make any attempts to contact Sam or make me feel comfortable during my long wait. I waited 30 minutes total and eventually left and went to another shop with Grade A service. Ink and Dagger Tattoo and received a beautiful tattoo. I recently just got my FIRST tattoo here, the owner Sam was very nice, and patient... He worked with me until we got the perfect design. You can tell he is very caring and compassionate which takes the edge off a ton!!! He also negotiated price with me which was not necessary, but greatly appreciated. The tattoo over all looks really nice... Although some shading looks uneven, but I just got it done yesterday so I'm not sure how it'll heal or look in two weeks, I plan to keep you updated!! I was so impressed by the cleanliness of this shop. Everyone was awesome and helpful.  I got a tattoo today and Sam totally captured exactly what I wanted.  He was extremely patient,  as I was a little nervous and indecisive. Deal states $100 for $150 worth of work. The artist will not honor it cause the owner Sam put that add up and he's the only one to do it. What a crock of crap it states in the fine print coupon must be honored. DONT WASTE UR TIME THEY ARE A JOKE! The thing is I was asking and had it pulled up in his face so I could purchase it right there, so since the guy I spoke to who didn't understand the offer like u stated in the private message you sent me. Came here a about a month ago to get a cover-up. Nic helped me out a drew a sick piece. I freaking loved it. This place is a chill location with a very nice staff. Nic was very accommodating and very smooth with his work. The hours flew by and had to do a follow up session to finish the cover. A few weeks went by and we finished up the tattoo. I absolutely love it and Nic was a cool cat. I usually do not get work done by the same person twice, but I may have to make an exception for this guy. Let me first start off by saying that this experience is not a reflection of the owner of this tattoo parlor. I was looking for a shop to go to so that I could finish the shading on my sleeve. This was my first time having to have someone else finish something that somebody else started so I was nervous with regards to that. I hopped on google and began to search shops near me (30350). Highest rated shop was this particular location. Upon my arrival I was instantly impressed with the layout of the shop and cleanliness. It's a dope set up. First thing I noticed was the smell of weed, which didn't bother me actually. I spoke with the only artist there, in which I believe was E.G. I showed him my arm and he began setting up. I let him do his thing and was a little worried about the amount of blood that was coming out while he was shading in the cartoon characters but figured he was just a bit heavy handed. After seeing that he was being way too rough and wasn't able to achieve the desired outcome I was hoping for I knew that this wasn't the shop for me. I have over 30 tattoos and like to give new shops a shot when I can especially when I hear good things about them. I'm also not sure if he specializes in certain skin tones more than others, however he began to say that on darker tones it's not going to show up. I believe that should have been discussed prior to him scarring the hell out of me. I wish this experience would have been more pleasant and that it had went as I hoped being that this shop is right in my neighborhood. However that was not the case and I am so disappointment and now I have to pay someone else to fix this mess when it finally decides to heal. Great experience with piercings here. Tried to get a simple tattoo once but the young-looking guy there acted like it couldn't be done where I wanted it placed and then charged too much to try. Went to another place and they did it with no hesitation and at a great price point. This may not be my first choice for tattoos, but they have my business for piercings. Read Less

I went to Rolling Stone Tattoo to get an arm tattoo of a Gypsy holding a sugar skull. My tat was VERY detailed and required lots of linework. So I walked in on a Sunday and met with Marie. She is awesome! We talked about what I wanted on my tat and she took the time or to listen to me and really grasp the image I wanted. My line work alone took about 4 hours but she took her time to make sure it looked great. She gives exceptional attention to detail and I'm totally in love with my tattoo even at just the line work session. I went back this Sunday and got my shading done I couldn't believe it looks even better! This woman has 20+ years of tattoo experience. Everyone here is amazing and really cool. You won't regret it.
