They do a great job and are very clean but I think they are a little pricey. I got a tattoo with for small words on my foot and it was $60 and my mom got the same thing but with some music notes and it was the same price. They are very clean and good. Read Less

I had two friends and a sister have a bad experience with piercings here and I still didn't listen and went and had a bad experience myself. Jewelry options seemed limited. I got a new silver hoop in my nose piercing and he bent it together in the furthest thing from a circle. It is very lopsided. I've never had any issues before and yet all four of us had issues with an infection. I've had a double nostril piercing for years and never had any issues until I came here. I obviously can't know it was their fault but since everyone else's got infected that I know and it was my first time with an infection after visiting, I won't be back. Read Less

Most of the artists were either outside smoking or inside laying around. No one greeted us when we walked in. I had to ask for service at their front desk. After explaining my idea, he simply shut me down and said, "he only does custom work and that following a pattern was beneath him." Never been to such an unfriendly and condescending tattoo shop. Went to Area 54 for a tattoo that incorporated my kids names but really didn't have a clue what  I wanted. My artist really took his time to get to know me. He told me to comeback tomorrow and he would have a couple of designs for to look at. The next day I came back  I took a look at his renderings. I was amazed at how accurate and shape lines the lines were. When he was finished it looked like computer had tattooed me. I mean the lines were so straight and Sharpe. The tattoo artists were really nice and sincere. I was really awkward due to being nervous but they weren't rude or mean about it. They definitely made me feel more comfortable. Area 54 is by far the most professional place with highly experienced staff. I had a horrible tattoo experience at Electric Octopus and came to Area 54 to see if I could be helped in any way. David Glover did just that. His work is amazing, clean, and breath taking. I highly recommend this artist for anyone looking to get detailed work by a professional. Puck is the piercer at Area 54, his work and professionalism can't be beat. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on information.I've never felt more comfortable and welcomed anywhere else. First things first, when JOSH aka Puck is in, he's a prodigy of a pierce and he gets the art form. I wont trust anyone else to pierce my body but him. Overall the shop is super clean and sterile. They are a usually friendly staff, totally willing to help you with anything you need. Pricewise, its decent. Rodney did a simple design for me and about 6 years later, im still satisfied and its still my favorite tattoo. Ive had the privilege of one tat done by an apprentice between 2007-2008 who did some cherry blossom branches on me and this dude literally sketched a damn beautiful branch on my arm. I dont know where he went and thats why they get docked a star. The apprentices are 50/50. Some are amazing, and some are just plain stupid. So, i'd suggest inquiring a bit to who exactly will be doing your tat. Dont just get shafted onto the newbie because youre going to encounter some newbie issues. For instance a friend got a tat and chose two colors of ink that were commonly associated with skin allergies. She had quite a bad reaction to  a small purple and gold tattoo and eventually had someone else at another shop correct it. Thank god I didnt go to that guy. I got a lot of creative feedback from Dave I believe his name was. I think he's still there and I highly recommend  gis services. Dude is professional, makes you feel comfortable, doesnt ignore you as they tattoo your skin, and he really worked with a random idea I had and meshed it into my arm and kept a scheme which I really enjoyed. Its located next to a bar so the characters are often seen interchangeably at any given time of the day. Puck is in and out, so if you require a piercer, call first as he is there only one.  Rodney I believe is the owner so if you have issues, try to get to him. He seems to handle his business very professionally and appropriately.  Beware of random apprentices. Ask questions and inquire who will be doing your job. If you are not comfortable with their work or experience, STOP and find someone else! Ive been extremely lucky in all my visits and ive been taken care of but its been a while since ive been in. Most recently while at the bar next door I decided to get my nose stud redone, and sent my sister next door to inquire. Some idiot who was blazed outta his mind couldnt answer the questions I needed so im wary of going back. You really gotta watch out for those rough around the edges apprentices and receptionists. Its the only shop in the area unless you feel like trekking down the road to downtown newnan at Third Eye. Read Less

Walked in and talked to someone about getting a tattoo, after he said "I'll be right with you" we waited about 30 minutes with no place to sit in wait because one of the employees girlfriends was sleeping on the couch for guests. While we were waiting on the employees (who are all kids, probably 25 and under) we overheard them talking about how they had just messed up the stencil on the last guys tattoo and put it in the wrong spot. How he hadn't gotten any sleep. How he hadn't eaten all day. While we waited a guy was finishing up a quite large piece, he went to show his family, they compared it with the picture he showed the artist to put on his back, and the artist completely forgot to put a section on the piece. He went in to show the artist what needed to be added, and the artist had already taken his gloves off, he just "added that right quick."  He did not out gloves back on just rested his hands on the guys back (an open wound).  I made an excuse to leave, and will never return. Hopefully their terrible attitude and carelessness is outweighed by their artwork. Also when people tried to pay with card they said "we prefer cash." The people payed half and half later for them to walk out and again for us to over hear him complaining about how he will never see the other half of the money due to the way the manager pays them. Customer service was not the best. It was very smoky, due to the employees smoking right outside door and constantly going in and out. When I presented my credit card for payment, they asked for cash ( even though this preference was not stated pre-service), I checked and did not have it. AGAIN, I was asked if there was any way to pay in cash!! Luckily, my daughter's boyfriend had cash and took care of it. Piercing itself looks fine. Read Less

Great Experience!!! I was reading some of these and they do not have anyone that does not work there tattooing. They showed us their licenses they had to procure to even work in Peachtree City. I was tattooed by Evan and he is a fantastic artist. He did exactly what I wanted and even added his little flair to make it my own and I LOVE IT!!! I send all my friends there and even my family. The tattoos we have gotten there are awesome but the atmosphere is not inviting - people laying around on the sofa or just hanging out - loud hard music...no one acknowledging you when you walk in - it was like we had to beg someone to help us. My husband and I stopped by Area 54 two days ago looking to get some ink. Upon entering we were ""greeted"" and asked what we needed. After explaining that my husband wanted to get a tattoo, She said in a rather irritated tone, ""So are you just here to get a price or something."" We said we wanted the estimated price, to meet with an artist and to set up to tattoo THAT DAY if possible. After being asked to wait (for what turned out to be about 15 minutes while she played on the computer) we were passed off to another guy who told us he didn't have a clue about anything we asked. WHY WORK IN A TATTOO SHOP IF YOU CAN'T ANSWER TATTOO QUESTIONS? My husband had a drawing of what he wanted but knew we would need to print off a larger image for the artist... even though it was nothing but straight lines and letters. The clueless guy took the drawing to another artist while he was in the middle of tattooing another customer (rude) and started asking him if he could help us. Out loud in front of everyone in the shop and other customers, the guy starts complaining about the drawing and saying he needed something bigger to work with and that he was already doing a lot today so it would take a while... excuse after excuse. If he didn't want to do the piece, he should have just said so! We walked out and don't plan to return! I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully by someone I'm paying! We were prepared to pay any price they asked... but they didn't want to take the time to be nice and respectful and simply answer our questions! We went to Area 54 because we have friends that have gotten work done there and I even had a friend that used to work for them! After our experience, I WILL NOT refer Area 54 to anybody! Just because you work in a tattoo shop and like to give off the ""I'm hardcore because I'm covered in tattoos therefore I have to be mean and rude to everybody that comes throught the door"" vibe does not give you the right to be completely rude to paying customers. I came here to have my septum pierced and had a very good experience. The shop is very clean, the staff is professional and courteous, and they know what they're doing. The piercing was reasonably priced but from observation their tattoo pricing seems to be a little steep, depending upon the artist. Read Less
