I called underground ink to see if I can get an appointment for a very important tattoo that had a lot of meaning to me! Not only did they actually listen to what I was saying and actually cared, they went out of their way to make sure they could help! I absolutely love this place. Sandy has done wonders and only expects the best out of her employees and they are an amazing group. Lolli is a phenomenal artist. She did my Coraline doll which I am completely obsessed with. She has such intricate detail. Everyone was great and made me feel very much at home. I absolutely love the staff here. They are always very personal with you and you just get a sense of family in this establishment. I have been pierced here and they did an amazing job, and I am getting my first tattoo soon. Adam is going to be my artist, and I couldn't ask for anyone else to do a realistic tat. I just got a beautiful piece done by Lolli! For years I've seen amazing work by her and finally decided to make an appointment for my Geometric lion. I gave her a desgin and she brought him to life - she was incredibly detailed and she made sure it was perfect before I stepped out of the studio. The atmosphere of this tattoo parlor is amazing. Walking in it is decorated with more of an upscale touch. Absolutely beautiful. I was so scared to get my first tattoo last year (2016). Lauren was excellent. I explained what I was looking for and she drew it up for me right there. She did an Autism Butterfly. At the touch it up appointment a month later I got another done. I love it! I got my cross there! So nice! I heard wonderful things from numerous people about Lolly. I loved her. They were honest, because I wanted to get mine on my hand and they told me it would rub off! Which meant a lot and I knew they were not there to just take my money. They were comforting since I was a tat virgin. And I got to ring the bell and everyone yelled hooray and clapped! I moved just recently about an hour away. This place is great. My friend and I went one afternoon,  and got ours done. The artists were very patient with what we wanted.  They drew it right up and vuaaa llaaaa. I wish I could give a better review of my first tattoo experience. However, I can't, because I still have yet to get my first tattoo.I met with the artist Lolli, who said she'd be in touch with me in a couple weeks after designing and drawing up my tattoo. I called the shop for the status around 3 weeks after my consultation, and was angrily told not to call and that Lolli would be in touch with me as soon as she was ready....That was 4 months ago. Upon arrival we were greeted by a mono toned individual who could care a less if we were there or not. Was getting piercing for my underage child and was told that they HAD to copy her Birth Certificate because it was a felony to not do so. My BS radar went off and after contacting Hall County, I was told they only need to SEE proof of guardianship and written consent. This place is a little to snotty for me. This place was over all phenomenal. Out of all the places I have had piercings done, they are the best. I have had my septum, nostril, and smiley done here. They are well kept, and extremely clean. The employees know exactly what they're doing and are well focused and polite. The place is well decorated. It is not a sketchy hole-in-the-wall tattoo shop by any means. My daughter and I got matching tattoos here, done by Lolly. She did an excellent job! My daughter also got a piercing, which became infected and has since closed up. I don't think it was the fault of the piercer (forgot her name), I think my daughter didn't care for it as she should have. But--our tattoos are awesome. We both get so many compliments on them! I'll definitely come here again. I had been going elsewhere, but my fave tattoo artist moved to FL and I moved to Cumming, I'm so happy to have found Underground Ink! Please, run away as quickly as possible! This place is a joke they are unprofessional, rude and just bad! I did more of the work for a tattoo that looked like a child drew! On top of that they illegally took money from me and refused to give it back. The owner hung up on me several times and was seriously rude. They couldn't even schedule me on paper for an appointment correctly. They over charge and undeliver horribly. I would never ever recommend anyone go to this place ever. I have received 2 tattoos from this shop from 2 different artists and both experiences were top notch. The shop environment is inviting and friendly and my wife felt very comfortable and welcome while she waited with me in the shop area. The layout and decor of this place was very different from your typical studio as it touched on all themes surrounding tattoo culture which made for a comfortable and relaxing environment. The walls and furniture are adorned with pin up girls, castle walls, Japanese art, flying eyeballs and more. It was a very cool theme.The shop manager was extremely helpful to me and allowed me to work directly with the artist on the initial visit and the follow up visits for touch ups. I personally do not have any piercings but I saw no less than 4 people receiving body piercing work while I was in the chair. They all seemed so comfortable and happy that my wife decided on a belly button piercing while we were there. The piercing area was private and personal and very nice. If you live in North Georgia I would highly recommend that you drive past all of those other shops for to visit this one. You will not be disappointed. Read Less
