Danny was the only artist I could find in the atl area that had actually studied and tattooed in Japan so of course, he has concrete credentials and a strong background in this style. I've been coming to him for the past 3yrs and he only continues to impress me. Right the minute I entered his authentic, (very) clean studio, he was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable (like home). He's very straightforward in a professional manner and also respectful of your decisions. He will be leaving to Japan the month of June and was able to book me in immediately and was even very flexible with the dates & time with me too. Today, (a week after my consultation) I went in for my tattoo. The artwork turned out beautiful. I love it. It didn't hurt (at all) as I expected and I am dead afraid of needles. Danny chit-chatted with me the entire time - literally about everything and I just feel like we automatically click and like he was meant to be my artist. His pricing is very reasonable! Before Danny, I was honestly debating on going to California or maybe even Japan... Anywhere as long as I can find a tattoo artist that specializes in Traditional Japanese tattoos. It's not something or someone that you can easily come across in Atlanta. We met through a friend and I immediately wanted a consultation. He didn't have much flexibility in his schedule but took the time to schedule my consultation around my availability. (His customer service skills alone is five stars!) He took the time to draw out exactly what I had envisioned, and was patient enough to go back and make changes to all the minor details until I was 100% satisfied. One of the greatest feeling in the world is knowing that your art was drawn FOR YOU, not something that was searched off of Google. The tattooing process itself was about 14 hours. About six sessions total before I was done. All scheduled at my convenience. Danny had me sit through one session where he showed me how it felt to go through the Tebori technique, and gave me the option of finishing my tattoo in whichever technique I preferred. Definitely one of the hardest and longest tattoo I had to endure, but one of my proudest piece! His positive energy made every 2+ hour session go by super quick. I go to Danny to get most of my tattoos. His new ink works very well with my skin. He is incredibly professional and has a passion in his work. I believe he advanced his tattooing skills in Japan. i got my first tattoo from danny and allowing him to do it was the best thing i could have ever done. I always wanted a traditional japanese tattoo but was always hesitant about getting one done around here in atlanta because i felt like there was not any one that was up to par in doing traditional japanese.
