disappointed, at best... about a year and a half ago i had Jamie start on a full leg sleeve for me. about 3/4 of the way through the sleeve the quality started going down hill. the last session i had was so bad i havent stepped foot back in the shop. he butchered a 100+ letter text that stretches the entire length and width of my left hamstring. the letters are crooked, bleeding out of the lines, and are blotchy. not to mention the alignment of the tattoo is way of and you have to look at with your head cocked right so you can read it. all in all terrible. not to mention the other 1/2 of the work he did has faded so terribly and blended together my leg looks blotched and detail is no longer there on most of it and that is only after a year or so and i know how to take care of tattoos cause i have 2 arm sleeves, and chest and stomach peices that were all done 8 years ago and still look great.... i talked with Jamie about these issues about 6-8 months ago. and his response was "yeah i could tell you werent happy with it, sorry"....... . sure hes "cheap" but there is obviously a reason. inconsistent work that wont hold up to the test of time Read Less

Jamie is like no other tattoo artist. He is blunt, upfront, and strait to the point. Jamie takes great pride in his work. Jamie is also a good judge of character and can tell if you really want a tattoo or if it's just going to be a fad for you. Jamie is not bullshit artist looking to get rich. I think that when you are going to get a tattoo you need to be able to connect with that artist. Jamie is some one who you can do that with. I love how Jamie puts his own special mark as you would call it on the tattoo. Like with any business there is going to be some people walk through the door that is just a waste of space. Jamie takes pride in his work and is honest about it, if you want something that is going to look like shit in 2 years he will tell you and he won't do it. It is far better that you get all butthurt now and call him an asshole than for him to ink you and 2 years from now have shit on your body somewhere. My wife and I both have original pieces by Jamie and I have one that he was able to fix that was screwed up by Norsk. So before you start believing the haters ask yourself what you want? Jamie you are the best! Jamie makes you feel at ease with your decision. He does this by being upfront and honest in the beginning. He will be blunt and let you know if he thinks your idea is something that you won't be happy with. Jamie really shines when the project triggers his imagination and peaks his interest. We know tattoos are painful but some artists will sacrifice the quality for your comfort. Tattoos are not a comfortable process and they shouldn't be. Jamie makes you earn the privilege of wearing his art and when he is finished you walk away feeling like you did more than just hand over some cash to get something "cool" on your body. This guy is seriously one of the best artists i have seen. Ive been all around the states from huntington beach california, pensacola florida, to buffalo new york, and many places in between. Not only is he honest, but he actually gives a damn about his clients. If the piece you want is gonna look horrible a few years down the road, he will let you know which may offend some people, but wake the hell up. Someone willing to tell you something from 20+ EXPERIENCE is obviously i...n the business for more than just money. His art work is unique and well above the quality of other local parlors (which i have visited). He has a super clean place and opens brand new equipment everytime. Ive been there 3 times so far for a large piece and everytime without a hiccup, its clean and tidy. To have someone work on me for a mere 25 dollars an hour is actually a feeling of guilt.
