If they seem a little standoffish I think it's cause tattoos have come along way throughout the years, from subculture to pop culture... like most things. I was at the Ridge Spring location near the Belair and Wheeler roads intersection. Eddy Codey took a concept piece I had drawn and created a magical and professional tattoo version of my art. I had some anxiety from a bad experience at a different studio but Eddy was reassuring, telling me I could have a rest or a break any time I needed it. He talked to me most of the time he was working which is nice for me because it's distracting. He answered all of my questions and did phenomenal job. The icing on the cake is he's a huge Harry Potter fan so when I'm ready for my Deathly Hallows symbol or anything magical or Harry Potter related I won't go to any other artist ;-) The receptionist was super sweet and chatted with me until Eddy was ready. Phillip and all the team at Allegiance ink are AMAZING!! Every person is nice and very professional. If you have an idea they try to help you bring it to life. The web tats in the pics are all FREEHAND. The shop is always in a super clean state. (Seriously I mean super clean). There equipment is always in "New" looking condition, Never nasty. Got my tattoo done by their tattoo artist Kyle about a month ago, and 4 piercings done by their piercer Wren. The tattoo artist was very patient with me, and did an amazing job creating my tattoo that I love now. The piercer Wren is great too. I loved her. Even brought some friends with me that got their piercings done, and they told me they like it how they feel no pain even after they got their piercings done professionally. I had quite a few friends recommend this shop. I was a little hesitant at first because I had never gotten a tattoo before, but as soon as I walked in everyone was really inviting. My artist was Ben and he did an amazing job. He talked me through everything and explained how the tattoo machine worked, and how to take care of my tattoo even before he started working. Much to my surprise after emailing him with my idea, he promptly replied back and said to come in for a consult to trace my arm. At the consult we scheduled an appointment only a week away! I wanted to start a sleeve and with giving him a few things i wanted, I trusted Kyle with whatever he came up it. When I came in for my appointment, I was so amazed with the plan Kyle had for my arm. Only a few stencils and the rest was hand drawn directly on to my arm. I came back in 4 sessions and the result was absolutely amazing. I couldn't be more happy with my sleeve, it turned out better than I could have ever imagined! The lines are perfect, and the bright vivid colors are spectacular. I recently moved to TX, I'm very sad to leave this shop and Kyle behind, I may even plan a visit out there soon just because the work is THAT good! My long time friend Kyle Holt works at this shop and had done all but one of my tattoos and all of my finance's tattoos. He is without a doubt the best artist in the area bar none. He's patient, understanding, extremely talented, knowledgeable, and he knows his craft. He knows so much about so many different styles. Kyle Holt has been my and my fiancé's tattoo artist and friend for several years now, and I only trust his work to be on me forever. He is patient with my requests and a master when I give him the freedom to be creative with my tattoos. His line work is clean and his colors are bold - my first tattoo was done by him almost 6 years ago and the colors are still sharp. I have seen this guy work his fingers to the bone during countless hours of perfecting and studying his art. You don't see tattoo artists as passionate about their work as Kyle is at every shop. I got a small tattoo and ended up in the ER less than 24 hours later with an acute bacterial infection. I have many tattoos so I know how mine heal. It was RED and abnormally SWOLLEN. I had to take antibiotics for an entire week. Once it healed it looks like a three year old did it. It was extremely busy and I could tell my "artist" was nervous. Don't go here. Read Less

I have been getting tattooed by the guys in the shop for 8 years. Jon is my go-to artist. Isaac is phenomenal if you're looking for heavy detail or a portrait. Philip, the shop owner, is a close friend of mine, and employs some of the best artists in the area. This is the only tattoo shop I know of that hosts events and specials in order to raise money for charities and other causes. It was neat, organized, and every one of the artist was to the point. They had no issue with suggesting me to another artist inside the shop if they felt that he was more qualified.
