So I was just in here today, on a whim decided I wanted to get my nose repierced after having it closed up for the past 6 years..I read the reviews and was half expecting some rude jerk to tear me apart before I got both feet in the door, but obviously wasn't too concerned since I still went! Guys- reviews are a dime a dozen, go and make your own opinion- BUT umm best, easiest experience! The guy working the front was super nice, and extremely patient while I debated a nose ring like I was making the hardest decision of my life..he went over pricing and such- I was half listening, but I think the prices are about normal. I haven't had a piercing done in like 12 years soo probs not the best judge. Anyways, he was nice and patient, gave me after care info- got the piercer he came up said hey, explained the two different style options etc. once I finally decided 9 years later I went right back. Everything was clean and sterile. Chris introduced himself, looked at my nose and old hole said placement looked good so we could use the same hole. He was calm, talked me through it, steady hand, good convo- easy peasy! I would say in and out 30 minutes- only that long because I took 20 to decide what I wanted! i went in to get snake bites and the first thing the piercer pointed out to me was my "uneven" upper lip piercings without even introducing himself (he was a crusty old guy). wow. honestly i was so taken a back by such a rude remark, i wasn't ready for him to continue to ask me about what i want because i was ready to leave. and that's exactly what i did, because you can't expect a customer to get pierced when you literally insult them. i have never had a more uncomfortable experience in a tattoo/piercing shop in my life than at this place. I have gotten all my tattoos at Psycho Tattoo, accept one. That one was just covered up by Rob Thomas. It looks great. He listened to what I wanted and did it. I am turning it into a full sleeve. Deano Cook did a big Star Trek Tattoo on my back. It has 4 portraits of Star Trek characters and they have all seen it and were impressed. The studio is clean and professional. I've gotten my piercings done there too. Chris Steele is the most professional and knowledgeable piercer I have ever met. My next piercing will be done by April Heart. She is professional and really nice. I hear she is big in the APP. 25 years in business says something about Psycho Tattoo. Read Less

I came with my sisters to get my younger sister a matching tattoo and my older sister a piercing. As soon as we walked in the guy at the desk was a huge jerk and said, "this isn't high school so stop" and a few minutes later yelled "just stop" while we were discussing the tattoo and piercing. We were the only people in there and we were not even loud. That guy ruined the experience. The lady doing the piercing was amazing and I would recommend her but be prepared to get called a high schooler and to be shushed by the jerk at the desk when you are the only group of people in there. The worst part of it was that the owner was there and listened to the guy at the desk talk to us like that and did nothing about that. I will not be going back. Read Less

I got my nose pierced here. The piercer did an excellent job with the whole process, from sterilization to piercing technique. I felt very comfortable there even though I was nervous. I got my cartilage pierced by Chris and he was absolutely amazing! He talked me through the whole process and really took his time cleaning it up and making sure it looked good. He told me that him and most people working there had been there for about 20 years and had been doing piercings or tattoos even longer so they really knew what they were doing which I loved. First of all this place was super clean and both my friend and I felt very comfortable with all the guys there. I in no way (as a female) felt like I was treated differently or ogled. As a matter of fact the gentleman who did my piercings (who I will speak more about in a second) mentioned he had daughters of his own. I have had my nose, eyebrow, tongue, belly button (and more) pierced at different times so I am kind of a veteran but when I wanted to get my daith and tragus pierced everyone made it sound like it hurt so bad. Even youtube videos of girls crying and almost passing out (supposedly) so I wasnt quite too sure of what to expect yet hoped it was nothing like my tongue haha. CHRIS WAS AWESOME!!! My experience was amazing and I will totally be back. We chatted like we knew each other for a while which made me feel calm and he walked me through it all. We practiced breathing and he didnt surprise me (which i like a lot.) His aftercare instructions were easy to understand and he took his time to answer every question I had. Everyone here is extremely nice. I got my first lobe piercing about a year ago and came back to get my other done. Chris (piercer) is one of the most down to earth guy you could possibly talk to. Prices are great here too. I was given the choice to reuse the same stud from my first piercing so it saved me a ton of money and I only had to pay for the piercing fee. Just left the shop to get my daughter's nose pierced and it seem like they really just did not want to do the piercing they did complain about her brother's being there and I suggested they can go and sit in the car they never asked who else was in the car they just quickly said that they don't think that they can sit in the car because it's illegal but unbeknownst to them if they would have asked they would have known that there was another notice in the car who's just afraid of needles and want to come into the tattoo shop so yeah great job for you I'll just take my money elsewhere also these are 10 year old boys that we are referring to that was going to sit in the car with another adult and before they even asked if there was someone else they just quickly said that it was at legal and assume that I didn't have anyone else with me Read Less

Chris pierced my 6-year-old daughter's ear lobes two weeks ago and he did a great job! He was professional, making sure my daughter consented and felt comfortable with the process. He talked it out with her (and me) the entire time, taking about 30 minutes from start to finish. It really didn't hurt her, she just flinched when the needle gently pierced. I'm pleased with the decision to go this route instead of the gun at a kid's salon or at the mall, even if it was a few more bucks.Just one tip, Chris: maybe leave out the story about your friend... you know, the two-headed cojoined twin! I was a walk-in to get my tragus ear piercing changed out. The guys were very nice, friendly and helpful! The place is very clean. It didn't take long at all and it was pain-free even though my piercing had been in there for 5 years. Prices were very reasonable too. Not giving it a 5 star only because technically I didn't receive a service, but I have had a nose ring for many years (pierced elsewhere) and never had a problem. Suddenly one day it was hurting pretty bad and I found myself worried about an infection or rusting ring. Went to Psycho Tattoo to have someone check it out and they were so kind. They checked me out and said I just probably snagged it by the look of it and told me the irritation would pass. No charge for consultation, super friendly and I was on my way. These guys could have easily told me I needed a new ring and I would have paid, but they were honest and weren't about just making money. They actually just wanted to help a girl out. So appreciated! Chet will always get our praise for the tattoo he did for my husband. He accommodated us the same day and worked with Mike on design size colors etc. I know it's a tattoo artists job but we all know there are plenty of "artists" out there that really don't care. Chet did such an amazing job. Melia was awesome at the front. She's badass and won't take anything all while being incredibly helpful. Remember when you're getting a tattoo artists have their specialty. If you walk in asking for them to get "creative" or to draw something that isn't in their wheelhouse you get what you get. I recently got a tattoo at Psycho Tattoo in Marietta. Pros: Although my tattoo does not look exactly as I expected, it is very pretty and I get a lot of compliments on it whenever I go out.  I took my 70 yr old mother with me so she could also get a tattoo. A memorial piece for my nephew who passed away from Leukemia. Her tattoo is perfect and she could not be happier with the way it turned out.Cons: When we entered, the only seating area, a couch, was full of friends of the staff so we had to stand. The music, Wu Tang Clan, was incredibly loud... so loud we couldn't even talk. We had to wait for almost an hour past our appointment time, for the artist, who had already met with us earlier in the day, to finally start drawing up our designs and setting up his station. Although he was clearly a talented artist, as soon as I walked into his tattooing area, he turned on the TV and NEVER spoke to me, the entire time I was being tattooed. He actually stopped a few times, to look up at the TV and laugh at what he was watching, while he was tattooing me.  I have many other tattoos but have never had an experience quite like this. Although I am basically happy with my tattoo,  I would not go back to that shop. The atmosphere was dreadful and the staff was not especially helpful or friendly. Read Less

I'm not a tattoo aficionado, nor was I looking for a massive or complex tat. But, I loved my experience at Psycho in Marietta. Richard was mindful of my vision and really nice. The shop is clean -- which is huge for me. TVs and music at each station are great. I watched The Walking Dead while getting my tattoo. Richard is great! Professional, light handed, and has great ideas! Come in with an idea, picture, or phrase and he'll make it into one GREAT tattoo. He wants to make sure you're happy with your tattoo and doesn't make you feel rushed. He takes his time and keeps his station clean and organized. He likes to have something playing in the background because it takes your mind off getting the tattoo. Not only should you go to Psycho, but go see Richard. I'm probably the worst mother in the world for it but all my precious daughter wanted for her 18th birthday was a tattoo.  How could I refuse?  She was certainly able to go and get one at that point without my consent/permission/input anyway? I took her, I negotiated with her and was able to get her to agree to a small, cover-able tattoo.  Now when she's teaching Sunday School at age 35 she's not going to need therapy because she has a face tattoo or something equally crazy.  Right?  At least that's how I justify it :)Anyway, these guys were super.  My daughter has a very low pain tolerance.  This sweet tattoo artist (cannot remember his name right now) took hours to do a 3 inch X 2 inch tattoo on her back.  He went really slow and took lots of breaks.  Even better though, is that she got just what she wanted.  I was amazed at the detail he was able to do on it.  I've never seen a more precise, detailed tattoo.It healed perfectly, heck the tattoo didn't even look all red or irritated after he was done, just mildly swollen.The other guys at the shop did a great job keeping me in check (I was pretty nervous).We were very pleased with the work and the atmosphere.  Many, many thanks guys for giving her just what she wanted on her birthday! The worst customer service ever!! I was told that I would pay a certain price for two small tattoos & that a $50 deposit would be required. When I showed for my appointment, I was told a different price. I was also told that I couldn't get my deposit back & if I didn't like it, "there's the door". I went in about a year ago, when I was seventeen to get my Monroe piercing. It was done by Elliot and he was so nice. My mother paid for it, I was very satified with how it went. However when we got into the car I asked what she though, she said "It's cute, but for that price, not that cute!" I asked how much it was, she told me 65 dollars. I was shocked, I had that piercing before done at another shop, and it was 30, and just as good. Totally ripped us off. I went in last week with an idea for the second tattoo. I did not plan on getting it that day, however I did come in with the intent (if the price was average) to make a appointment. I talked to someone behind the counter, whom recommended me to an artist (i'm guess he wasn't, just a phone answer person). I waited about 15 minutes standing there while he talked to some annoying customer. He was polite to her, but I could tell he was frusterated. I waited til they were done, then proceeded to explain my tattoo idea. I had a picture, which was actual size and exact tattoo I wanted. I had another artist at a different location tell me it was 125$ tattoo. He explained very impatiently that it was an hour worth of work, asked me very sarcastically if I even had the pain tolerence to handle it, and told me it was 200$ an hour for custom work. I looked around and found a sign saying "150 an hour for custom work, and explained to him politely I had a pain tolerence and had a very large back piece done just two months before. I then said thank you, and left. I didn't even correct him on him pricing, nor would i trust him to put a needle inside my skin causing a permanent mark!COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Read Less

I did a little research and most of the reviews of Psycho were pretty good so I stopped in. I didn't have an artist in mind, but the guy at the counter (at Psycho 2 - artist Matt) was helpful and took the design I brought in and started making suggestions. I ended up going with his recommendations and my ink looks great. I've been considering this design for years and I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
