Haven't had any tattoos done here but a friend of mine had her piercing looked at here. The place that originally did her piercing did it incorrectly and the piercer at black lotus was able to take a look at it and make a ring to suit her better. Great atmosphere. Warm and friendly staff. "Captain" Morgan was an awesome guy, who could have given me a tattoo on the spot, but instead he directed me to another artist their that specializes in what I asked for (a traditional American pinup of my wife). I set an appointment with Malia, gave her pictures, and she had one drawn up the next week with 2 different hair styles, based on the pictures I gave her. Every time I come into this shop the atmosphere is just wonderful. Everyone is friendly and full of energy. They are very clean and professional. I recently went in for a large thigh piece which is a memorial for my mother. Holly created a beautiful work of art that I am proud to have on me. we drove an hour away just to use them for the first time. walked in and was told by a lady to come back in two hours. we came back then was told by some guy that no one could run a tattoo. Absolutely ridiculous service (if you can get any!) This is the SECOND time that I have came shop for a simple piercing change and no one was "available" to do it. The whole staff seemed to be too busy taking smoke break after social break to be bothered with any customers. I'm very disappointed at how completely ignored I was for a whole hour! The service would have taken less than 5 minutes. They've lost money so two times because of their laziness. Read Less

Got some great work done by Morgan. Awesome stuff. Very clean environment. (You can tell a lot about a place by how clean the bathroom is, and it was immaculate) Very knowledgeable staff. Cannot speak about the tattoo artists  but I was unimpressed with the piercing staff.  Everytime I've gone in their piercers seem to be late despite being within the hours posted. Jewlry selection is rather poor and the initial jewlry they put it was low quality (what can you expect for $5?).  I had a double forwarded helix and tragus done here. After two months of constant irritation I went to a shop in Atlanta, for a second opinion. Even though I was well shy of the 6 month healing time, they changed out for neometal press fit labret studs. Within days all irritation was gone. I just want to take some time to thank Ryan Bill to the great job he did. Not only is he very patient but he's also very professional. I went in with two ideas but wasn't very clear on how to execute them...he immediately understood what I wanted and was able to put it on beautiful drawings. I also have to give props to every employee I had contact with because they were very polite and personable. When it came time to tattoo, Ryan was very patient with all the questions I had and he has a very soft hand, I barely felt the needles. I got a very simple tattoo, pretty small on my wrist. Maybe 2"x 3", it's 8 lines, that's it. One line was completely jacked up. And then the points where they meet are all messed up. Either one line goes to far or he missed a spot.I got a tattoo from Mark. I gave them two stars because they have a clean facility, accept appointments and walkins, and very friendly. Read Less

Went here for daith piercings, both ears. It was recommended to me by a friend, and her recommendation did not disappoint. Very clean shop, did not feel skeezy or run-down like a lot of the other places around Columbus. The guy did a great job with my piercings, I've had no issues. It wasn't necessarily "comfortable," but when you are getting holes punched into your body, pain is to be expected. If I were to get more piercings or a tattoo, this would be the place where I would go and where I would recommend to anyone looking for a good shop. Read Less

The first tattoo I received in the Columbus area was at Ink 66. The vibes I got were kind of mixed, and the piece I got done could've been done better. Needless to say, I wasn't too impressed. Then I moved on to Black Lotus. So far I've received a septum piercing, and three tattoos... One of those tattoos being a coverup of the piece I got done at Ink 66. Out of all the tattoo shops I've been to, I have to say I like Black Lotus the best. Also, at one of my most recent sessions I was told that the artists are trying not to schedule any appointments on Saturdays unless they have to, that way they can focus on taking walk-ins. I went here after doing a great deal of research on the internet for a really reputable tattoo parlor in Columbus, GA. I showed up here today for my very first tattoo and within 2 seconds, the owner had welcomed me into the store and asked me for what I needed. I was immediately introduced to Dave, who I explained to him what I wanted and he was very talkative and helpful. I waited for a total of less than 10 minutes for him to draw up my tattoo (it was a simple tattoo, but still) and he took me into the back and finished up my tattoo and answered every question I had with respect and professionalism.
