I was referred to this shop by and friend and wanted to get my kid's nose pierced for his birthday. I called and was told that the piercing would cost me $35 so I dropped my kid off with my debit card and that was that. After picking him up he told me that he was charged $45 due to not using cash. That wasn't what I was told on the phone at all. I called and complained to the girl that I had spoken to earlier and she said it was due to credit card fees that they are charged. I understand that credit cards charge a small percentage as a fee, but that wasn't what I was told or I would have stopped at an ATM and got cash. Mike is the Best. I mean the Best. I got a sleeve done about a year ago. It was a pretty obscure idea that involved a cover up, and he really helped me flush it out. The end result was amazing. I get complements wherever I go. He is the standard to which I will hold all other tattoo artists. You will not find a better artist and guy. Mine took 5 5 hour sessions to complete. It was not tedious at all. He is funny and easy to talk to. I recommend him whenever people ask about my sleeve. You have to book him out a ways, but it is well worth the wait. Read Less

He even let me take breaks just to shake out my arm and give pause from the sting of the needles. I got my nose pierced from here and a couple of my other friends got their ears pierced. The place was very clean and everybody that worked there was extremely friendly! I was told by several guys that this was THE PLACE to go to. I have an armband and want to expand it to have a 1/2 sleeve. I know that armbands and sleeves are difficult at best to pull off but instead of the guys getting creative and trying to help find a solution, they told me that I should just consider getting the DUI on my shoulder. At that point I walked out. Im not looking for some flash art..... Bottom line is this. I have no problem spending my money for an artist who enjoys what he does and takes pride in figuring out ways to make something that is "ok" into something that is great (if even to myself because that's what it is about anyway). The work was just okay.  I had two simple bands on my wrist. I went in one night with two people-all of which were getting tattoos. We all paid and there were only two tat artists.  I let my friends go first then I was last. They told me they only had enough time to do part and to come back in a few days to have it finished.  I tried yo get in for 3 weeks and finally got in to wait an hour on the tattoo artist. Mike will always hold a special place in my heart for doing my first two tattoos. He was recommended to me by a very dear friend who visited him regularly. Mike was actually at a different shop, Tattoo Tommy's, when he did my first one, and my second was at his own shop.It's been about four years since I got my first tattoo (all black) and it looks the same as it did when it was fresh! It is still dark and sharp, and people are always impressed with how wonderful it looks. It's very detailed and intricate and he did an amazing job on it.My second tattoo is a little newer, about two years old. It has words on it and it was so cool that I was able to draw it out in my handwriting and have him tattoo that. Again, he did an amazing job and it still is dark and fresh!Mike is by far the best tattoo artist. Best tattoo place in Columbus! We were there Saturday to surprise my husband with a new tattoo for his birthday. Not only did Michael Heard do an awesome job, the employees are all incredibly hilarious! They had us cracking up the entire time!!
