It's been a couple of years since I came in, but both my husband and I had tattoos done in memory of our first child, Declan, who passed when he was 3-days-old. Not only did Michel give us exactly what we wanted in our tattoos, but he was so sensitive to and caring of such a delicate situation (we had just lost Declan a few months before). Now that we've had our second child, I'll be coming in soon to get Michel to do my next tattoo for Riley. Craig Foster is by far one of the premier tattoo artists in the southeast and can stand toe to toe with any artist across the country. Super clean and sanitary environment, we've had several pieces done by Craig so it was a no brainer for our daughter's first tattoo. i'd been having an itch to get poked by needles for the past few months, and today i finally stumbled into Skinwerks and met with Jeremiah to get my nipples pierced. i have had a few piercings done before, all by different people, and Jeremiah blew me away with how easy he made it for me. he was incredibly friendly and didn't mind my nervous and awkward jokes, and made me feel very comfortable in the uncomfortable situation of being topless in front of a stranger. I will for sure recommend him and be going to him from now on for all of my piercing needs. i was also very impressed with the cleanliness and comfortable atmosphere of Skinwerks as a whole... i've apparently been going to some shithole tattoo parlors and have clearly been missing out on the quality service you guys provide. I've only been tattooed by Jules so not saying everyone else isn't great there because I'm sure hey are but no one else will ever touch me! This man in no other words a BADASS! His outlines his color his personality it's all exactly what you would want from someone putting something permanent on you! Hands down best tattoo shop in the area and hands down the only one I will ever go to. And for the record when people talk about how Skinwerks is "more expensive" remember you get what you pay for! My sister and I got matching tattoos done by Jules a couple of years ago in support of Hickory Level Hound Rescue. They are small, but extremely well done tattoos. After my sister had a bad experience with a different local shop, I thought I might try Skinwerks again in hope of a better result. I was not disappointed. Walked in to get the daith piercing in my ear because of migraines. Jeremy did a great job. He walked me through it and it was over before I knew it. Then I asked if I could get a quote on a tattoo that I had gotten off Pintress and out walked Craig Foster, the guy from Ink Master, he gave me a price and he tattooed the image and hour later. Skinwerks is the best tattoo and piercing place in Carrollton. Jules created a beautiful memorial tattoo in honor of my dad and did an amazing job, he is incredibly talented and it was an honor to have him tattoo me, it was such a wonderful experience I'm already working on tattoo number two! Jeremiah is a fantastic piercer, he made my nose piercing as painless as possible. He was very kind and walked me through the whole procedure and made me feel very at ease. So before Skinwerks, I was a tattoo nomad.  I've gotten work done at 4 or 5 (hell, maybe more) different shops.  But that will definitely no longer be the case.  Skinwerks is BY FAR the best shop that I've been to.I'd gotten recommendations from multiple people telling me that this is where I needed to come for my next piece.  So when I finally decided it was time, I made the trek all the way out to Carrollton on a Saturday afternoon.  After speaking with the desk guy, I was advised that Jules had some availability later on that afternoon.  Perfect.After wasting a couple of hours at Arbor Place mall (I do not advise ever putting yourself in the position to have to do that), I headed back to the shop.  I showed Jules what I was looking to get done and he worked with me on making a few modifications.  When we were all done, the piece looked exactly as it was drawn up and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.  Jules did an outstanding job and has definitely earned himself more business from me!The shop is super clean and situated in a small house.  The music here is awesome and the guys that work here are fun to talk to.  Parking isn't an issue as there is ample space in the lots outside.  They do accept walk-ins, but do yourself a favor and make an appointment.
