I have been in before for different services and have had a great experience everytime., but today I saw Amber for a conch piercing. I had the BEST piercing experience I have ever had with her. I have had about 20 piercings in many different painful spots and no one has ever pierced as fast as she did today. It went so smooth and I didn’t feel a thing. I went to Norsk on March 3rd and I had a really great experience. I came here 2 years ago for a ribcage tattoo but my most recent visit was for ear piercings. This is by far the cleanest and most professional tattoo/piercing studio I have visited. After a bad piercing and unfortunate tattoo at another studio I was very hesitant to get anything else done even though I wanted additional work. Tyler did some amazing runes on my daughter, after seeing his work and the work of the other artists I will be going to Norsk for mending of the tattoo I received elsewhere. I am so glad I finally decided to get my tattoo done! I have hesitated for a year now. But my hubby said I could get a tattoo for Mother's Day. Wow! I could not recommend this studio enough! If you are considering a tattoo book an appointment with them (you can do it through their website and upload images to the artist or call them on the phone). Once your appointment is booked they ask for a small deposit. When I arrived for my tattoo, I was greeted by a young woman who was polite and made me feel very welcome. She explained the process to me, and had me fill out some "paperwork" on a tablet. The artist (Taylor) ca...me out and we discussed my piece. I felt like it was a good consult, I had some ideas, he shared his thoughts, and then he moved forward with making a stencil. Once I approved the stencil (on the first version) we moved forward with the tattoo. Taylor was fantastic to work with. He periodically asked me if I was doing OK, gave me a couple of breaks when needed. He was very laid back, but at the same time very focused on his work. The end result was better than I imagined. I got my first tattoo with Corey. After researching 30+ studios in the Atlanta and metro area, as well as obsessing over different design ideas, hygiene processes, and quality artists, I chose Norsk. I liked their close location, the studio's environment, and the work of their artists. Unfortunately, Corey is booked out pretty far due to his being good at what he does, so I was afraid of having to wait a couple of months. Thankfully, he had one more availability in March, and I grabbed it. We were met at the counter by a very nice girl, I believe her name was Courtney. She told us the artist we were scheduled for was running behind so we left to come back in a little bit. When we got back, we had a different artist tell us he was going to do our tattoos which was fine, his portfolio looked nice and we just wanted simple tattoos. Dylan didn't really try to talk to us at all and said some comments that did personally offend me, but I didn't say anything because w...e were mid tattoo. The tattoos were two finger tattoos and my mother and I understood the risk of the tattoos and the fading. What we got were extremely blown out lines to the point that the entire tip of my mothers finger is now black. There is no negative space in her tattoo. I understand that tattoos have a mind of their own, but the ink was put it way too deep and we would have rather had the fading over blown out tattoos that may or may not be able to be fixed. I decided to get my third tattoo here after seeing the amazing work my boyfriend is getting done, and I was really pleased with the way the artists communicate amongst each other in order to have the right artist do the right tattoo! I showed Beau an image of a Buddhist elephant that I wanted on my thigh and he immediately quoted me, suggested some minor color, and was able to set up a reasonable appointment.. I went for Norsk's Year Two Extravaganza. As soon as I walked into the studio I was taken away by the beautiful atmosphere. Vintage, Rustic, Relaxed. All the things I would expect from an upscale tattoo parlor. The staff was very friendly but most importantly informative. All the questions I had were answered promptly, to the point, and correctly. This surprised me because they were EXTREMELY busy ( This was an event so alot of people showed up ) so I figured they would not have time to answer my questions. The staff member who applied my stencil helped me decide the best location for my tattoo. My artist was Beau Jones. Beau has amazing linework. Both straight and curved were executed with care and precision. The color saturation was perfect. I was shocked at the depth that this tattoo has and how vibrant the colors are. My new ink really pops! Beau was super friendly. Just the right amount of friendly chit chat ( to many artists want to talk your ear off instead of concentrating on their work ). This guy is really a master at his craft and he will be the one I go to for my sleeve work. Overall, this is THE BEST tattoo studio I have ever been to.
