My appointment was scheduled for 6:30pm yesterday and guess what....we started at 6:30pm! It was my first visit and I was told it would take 1.5 hours and...I was telling Janice how much I liked my eyebrows at 8pm!I had a little trouble finding the location but I'm not good with directions; I frequent a restaurant right next to the building Janice is in and still needed Waze to get home, lol. The directions provided in my appointment reminder email did help me stumble across where I should be and I was happy to see covered parking (it was really a blessing since when I left it was raining). Anyway, when I arrived I filled out a couple pages of paperwork while Janice quickly cleaned up from her last appointment and then we began. I already knew I made the right choice scheduling with Janice thanks to all the information on her website and customer reviews but if I hadn't done my research it would have been obvious to me I was in good hands the second she began working. Janice quickly chose and drew the shape that would work best for me and applied the numbing cream. After 20 minutes she showed me the tools she would be using and explained what she would be doing. My biggest concerns were how much it would hurt and that my eyebrows would be too dark. However, I barely felt anything and I have a low tolerance for pain and although I was told my eyebrows would be their darkest the first few days I could actually go darker. I'm saving the 5th star until my brows have finished healing but I am happy with the results I have now, I may shade them in a little once they heal, and have received so many compliments. UPDATE: I've e-mailed Janice a few times during the healing process, freaking out even though the after care instructions advised I'd have what appears to be bald spots & concern regarding having to wait until next year for my follow up (she stays booked), and each time she responded in less than an hour. The customer service she provides is amazing!! UPDATE 2: I just got my touch-up & my brows look GREAT. I got the new hybrid/combo brows b/c the tail of my eyebrows is non existent & well... The pics say it all!!! Imani did my touch up & she is just as friendly & personable as Janice. I definitely recommend XO Beauty & Brows. Tips:-If you are even considering microblading book your appointment as soon as you can; I had to wait 2 months for mine and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. -Take the recommended Tylenol 20-30 minutes before your appointment and ibuprofen after. I did both and only had very minor pain for maybe an hour or two once she was done.-Bring music to listen to. I was worried about the pain and having music playing in my ear while waiting for the numbing cream to work really relaxed me; I almost fell asleep. Read Less

After years and years of suffering with no brows I can happily say that I HAVE EYEBROWS!! It was such a pain having to do my eyebrow makeup everyday and never able to leave the house with no makeup on. Janice is amazing at what she does, they are perfect! Be aware, it does hurt.. but is totally worth it! If you are on the fence about getting it done, get over it and make the appointment. You won't regret it! It is life changing which may sound a little dramatic but if you have gone with little or no brows, it is! It totally changes the look of your face in a good way and takes years off. I had my eyebrows microbladed earlier this year. The results for me have just been so-so.  They looked amazing during the first few days, but after healing you definitely can't see individual strokes, it's more just a fuzzy grayish brown haze. So I still have to fill in my eyebrows every day, but it is helpful to at least have a nice shape guideline to follow. Janice is very nice and easy to talk to and her studio space is gorgeous. She did have serious issues with punctuality for my appointments which was frustrating (and BTW, just take ownership of the fact you were late and stop making up excuses. It was no one else's fault and it's a simple thing to remedy.)The results just haven't lived up to my expectations. If you are expecting your brows to look like they do in everyone's Day-Of pictures, you might be disappointed as well because it's a little misleading. I probably wouldn't have my eyebrows done again, but if I did I would try a different studio just to see if the results were different and to avoid timeliness snafus. Read Less

Janice did my eyebrows last Saturday and they are absolutely gorgeous! She's an entrepreneur that is charging reasonable amounts for excellent work. I'm even interested in getting my lashes done by her now! The whole process was fairly smooth. She asks you questions about the shape you desire and then begins to sketch them out. She numbs you and then begins! In total, it only took her about an hour and 15 minutes! Her business is located in the Brookwood building (entrance is through the parking garage). I was never a permanent makeup fan, more like a natural, always preferred to take my time put some makeup, get it perfect all the time and it worked very well. Then I started school and got a job and the time was limited I just had like 10-15 minutes max to put on some makeup. I was nervous to do this because, let's get real, this is your face and though it's semi permanent, you've gotta live with the results. I love makeup, particularly mascara so when lash extensions were becoming a trend I was so excited but I saw a few friends with pretty awful fake lashes, looking clumpy or sparse.
