I have been planning my next tattoo for about a year. I researched and found James Cooper, the owner of Gate City Tattoos. We emailed back and forth and I made an appointment. I don't live near Atlanta but I was traveling there and knew that was where I would get the tattoo. James was waiting outside when I arrived. It was the most exceptional experience I have had at a tattoo parlor. He was so down to earth. Cool as a fan blade. Custom made a color for me, worked diligently for hours and even had one of his guys do a small tattoo for my friend who didn't have an appointment. The tattoo came out perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased. He will definitely do my next one. Great place, chill atmosphere and f$&k Clay! Thanks so much James, you're my jam.

I started off very impressed with how everything was inside the shop. They were nice and very welcoming. I came in with a friend while she got her tattoo. I was initially interested in coming back to get a tattoo for myself. That changed when I was talked to like a child by the guy tattooing my friend. I Don’t know his name but I know people should not be talked to in that manner. Poor customer service ruined my whole experience and I will not be coming back. Very rude.

Along with 15+ years of EXPERIENCE. And not just lazy experience doing the same boring tattoos over and over again - but creative and interesting tattoos. He really works hard to not only make your vision come to life - but to also get that IN YOUR SKIN in the best way possible. I definitely and absolutely recommend James for any of your tattoos. He did a great job on my tattoo and I had A LOT of shading - so I definitely wanted someone that wouldn't rush and just plow through it.Oh - and the shop is quiet and peaceful and doesn't have all the disturbing 'walk-in' traffic that other shops that are right on the street have. It's a boutique shop - and not a tattoo walmart like many other places.

I have been planning my next tattoo for about a year. I researched and found James Cooper, the owner of Gate City Tattoos. We emailed back and forth and I made an appointment. I don't live near Atlanta but I was traveling there and knew that was where I would get the tattoo. James was waiting outside when I arrived.
