This guy is the real deal! It was my first piece, a geometric quarter sleeve, and I had some complex elements. Not being an artist I wanted to find someone who could take my idea and bring it to life, while also improving upon it. Charlie did just that! I had three sessions for a total of 16 hours, which doesn't include all of the design work. He took the time to understand what I wanted and was also ok when I postponed the first session since I didn't feel the design was ready. Not to mention he did all of this with one arm; he had shoulder surgery the week before my second session. Dedicated and passionate to say the least! My wife was also very impressed and ended up getting a tattoo with Charlie as well. Spending so much time in his shop, we got to feel the culture of the group. Charlie is amAzing!!! Designed a custom piece and I couldn't be more pleased with how it came out!! He made sure that I was in love with it every step of the way. His artistic ability is definitely better than most and you're able to see that in his work. Having never before been to a tattoo shop, I was hesitant and unsure of what to expect. My wife wanted something to memorialize her mother after losing her and so after researching here, on Google, Facebook, etc., Charlie's business stood out for cleanliness and professionalism. It must be difficult for artists to understand what people want, taking input in many ways... some drawn out, some printed copies, others just described verbally. Charlie was intuitive as to what my wife wanted and made a trace of it on her skin to show what it would look like prior to setting up the needle. His clinic was clean and well lit, sanitary, and well decorated. We were in and out in about 30 minutes, including the paperwork and payment. Charlie Cu is a real tattoo artist! I did my research, saw the many great reviews and decided he's the one I will trust with my cross tattoo. I don't post reviews unless the business made a big impact on me so If you want talented, original, creative, inspiring work done, take it to Charlie. He took my ideas of what I wanted and made them 1000x better! Other artist I've asked for creative ideas to help me put on paper what I visioned could have cared less about helping out and just wanted to get people in and out to make that money. Charlie took the time to learn about my likes and built a masterpiece that continues on today. After visiting other shops and having work done else where I'm impressed with his level of class and artistic abilities. Charlie stands by his work and you feel as if he has your best interest at heart  and truly cares about what the end result will look like, which I can't say for the 90% of arrogant borderline trashy tattoo places I've been to. After going through a lot of personal life events the last few years, I wanted a piece that would signify how I've grown as a person and overcome an extremely difficult time. Charlie is currently doing my full Japanese arm sleeve , and from what I've learn about Charlie is that he takes his work and art seriously , he does not compromise his art or try to rush his work, from an artistic stand point I feel his style and technique is very hard to beat, his lines are clean, crispy, and shading transitions are super smooth, his ability to really bring a piece to life is amazing.  He's experience in tattooing shows. I would like to start off by saying Charlie is a great guy, very pleasant to be around! For my first tattoo I am very picky and worried about who will do my tattoo, but after seeing him working on a live client I was very impressed and I knew I wanted him to put some art work on me.
