I can’t say enough good things about the guys at this shop!!! I’m approaching the big 5 0 in a couple of years and, after thinking about doing this for over 20 years, I decided it was time. Everyone told me I was crazy for going with a big and bold tat for my first one.......but Ryan knocked this thing out of the park. We got together and I gave him my ideas and a pic of something that had the theme I was looking for. He ran with it and gave me a piece that I’m truly proud to show off on my calf. The whole process was quick, friendly, and extremely professional. I met a couple of the other guys that make magic here as well, and they all seem to be the friendliest, most laid back folks in the world. When I went there for my first tattoo, the guy who did it was super nice and friendly! He talked me through the process and made me feel at ease. However, when I went to get my nose pierced, another employee (Alan) was working. He was pretty rude and made me feel super on edge. I have had problems with my piercing since. Maybe he was annoyed that he had to do a simple piercing, but I think that customer service should come first regardless. Read Less

This is one of the hidden gems of Athens. It isn't downtown but this makes it all the more a great experience. The guys in this shop are really down to earth, and make you feel comfortable. They are realistic with what you should expect in a tattoo. Mike D does beautiful work! If you are looking for amazing flowers, Japanese design, lettering, you name it he can do it. Need something custom? He's got it. Alan has beautiful color in his work. Ryan can set you up with anything you need as well. Need a specific time? They can accommodate whatever is needed. On Sundays, Devon is known for her beautiful work and is well experienced in classic art. Either way, you can't go wrong here! After being insulted at American Classic tattoo, I went to Aces and Eights. I was referred by a close friend, and i'm not gonna lie, I was a little nervous about going there because of the physical appearance of the parlor. I went in with my close friend and was introduced to Mike, the person that would be doing my first tattoo. He was MUCH nicer than the rude person that I spoke with at American Classic and he even offered to draw me up a quick sketch of what I wanted to help try and ease my mind, because i'm not gonna lie... I was so nervous. I wouldn't be getting my tattoo for about another 2 weeks but he still helped me by answering the questions that I had. He told me to come back in about a week and he said he would have a much better drawing for me. In fact, he called me close friend that night and let him know that he had already drawn something better for me. I came back about a week later and was astounded by his drawing that would be my tattoo. He gave me an official price and I set up a date with him. The day of my tattoo, I was still very,very nervous but once again, he eased my mind by trying to say things that would make me feel better. He did a wonderful job and my tattoo healed up great!
